:: GT4 WRS Week 103 ::

Sorry for the delay, just a tad busy here right now.
I’ve always been told to never give up on a good thing so we are having another DTM handicap race, but this time it will be at Grand Valley Speedway in the BMW M3 GTR Race Car ’01. Have fun :)
I’ll upload the image as soon as I can. Unless someone else wants to do one instead?
Results for week 102 will be up in 1 hour from now. 👍

great-great-great: super combo of a favvie car + a favvie track. jerry i love you.

a Q tho: i didn't know that this bmw racer was DTM class. i always thought it was some sort of slow race division like a c-class with the subbu super tourer/racer etc.
if anyone can shine a light on this?

EDIT first clean lap splits: 34.052 - 1.06.159 @ gearing 300 and no aids

You're most likely right. Whenever we raced with it online it has always been used along side DTM's is all.

good way to even it up, how is the leaderboard going to b done n this race. BTW eventhough i have tendonitus that acts up from driving tight arcade cars i might try a few laps. NICE RACE and handicapping system.

thanks. the alms being ... ?

American Le Mans Series. A place where the Audi R10 and R8 dominated for years, where Aston Martin DBR9 fights the Corvette C6R in a battle to oblivion, and Ferrari 430Rs and Porsche 911s are engaged in a never-ending Battle Royale.

i heard if the Saleens were running right the vette would have been shown it place.

Man. Div3 is going to beat out everyone now. :ouch:
:indiff: I guess. I'll try this week. Like it matters any.

I hate this car... ugh, you have a cold four days you'd be grumpy too. :grumpy:
Samantha

PS:
I'm not going to use R5's. I'm going to R3's just to see if I can keep up not using the same tire that everyone else will be using.
My own Maverick Hunter training test you could say.

I actually thought the gaps are much more balanced this way. The gap between Div1 and Div2 is usually much smaller than the gap between Div2 and Div3...

great idea other than ballast. should bring the times closer. so far i know three ways to handicap but one hasn't been tried with more than two drivers(ballast).👍

And ballast won't appear in the WRS, since it is not possible to regulate ballast.

As much as I wish it was R3's we were using(soft race tires are too easy!)....I'm pretty sure your splits on Mediums compared to everyone elses supersofts will be pretty far off.... The harder tires will surely slow you down more than the HP loss.

Ok i love this car and this race reminds me of some great lan races too.
Here are my first splits

T1: 33.360
T2: 1'04.323

Here's something for ya.
Is the tarmac on the other side of the rumble strip in the secend to last corner ok to go on? If not I guess I'll have to scrap my time.

Laters,
Samantha

Great car! Great track! 👍

Once everyone gets home I'll have to give 'er a go later tonight......after "Idol" of course. I think I have my son-in-law talked into giving it a go. Now I need to find him a maxdrive.

Another great choice Jerry. Sure wish I was good enough to make that handicap work a little better. Still a great idea! 👍 👍

new and improved t's:

33.581 - 1.04.944

gearing 290 - no aids - +20/-10

i wonder if in the next handicap race the tyre compound can be the variable rather than the power ... maybe even both?

I wouldn't miss this one....even though I've always liked the track, I've never been any good here. But, a nice stable car with tires that grip.....I'm going to try my darnest to figure this place out! I'm going to a lower gear for my next session.

After 10 laps:

33.621
1:04.893

Division 2 using Driving Force Wheel (not Driving Force Pro)
Thanks for bringing back the handicap....👍

Great combo Jerry 👍 ... should be an interesting results again for sure! here's the splits from my first save with probably a few tenths left for grabs at each split for me ..

33.110 / 1'03.757 ( autoset 300 )

I'll be back to this one very soon

Do you mean you used the auto gearbox Ron at 300?

New splits here :) manual gearbox

T1: 33.363
T2: 1'04.236
and 100% clean (no cutting onto the gray stuff with more than two wheels)👍
