Gran Turismo World Championship Pre-Requisites

I'm trying to start the GT World Championship (the last championship in the Professional Hall), but the game keeps telling me that I need to finish all of the Beginner and Professional races and championships first.

I checked all of the races in the Beginner and Professional Halls, and I have a gold cup for all of them. Am I missing something obvious? Is there a way for me to get details on what the game thinks I'm missing?

Many people have had this problem and the answer is usually the same. Have you checked that you have done all the series and not just the individual races?

You can tell if a specific competition is a Series or not by looking at where the trophies appear - if they appear in connected squares, then that is a series and you need to complete that as well as win each individual race. If the trophies appear in circles, then that competition is just 'Single Races'... On completing a series, you will also receive a prize car. Check your garage to see if you have the correct prize cars - if you don't have them, then you haven't completed the series...

As Touring Mars noted, 100% of the reason why you can't enter that race, is because you haven't won all the races/series.

The two most reported reasons why this occurs, is the Bronze looks very similar to Gold and you race a series as races, and not as a series (You've got gold for the races, but haven't completed the series)
 
you jsut gotta win the sieres, dont do indiv. races if there are series, you dont need gold for ALL of tracks during the series as long as you got gold in the series..
