Sorry for the tardiness. too much came on all at once this last month that i didn't foresee when the series began.

The results are FINAL. No changes will be made.
I'd like to get feedback on the series as a whole from all who competed. Main questions are:

1. Length of series. Too many events? Too many the same?
2. Qualifying. Better idea to have qualifying and race all the same event (like S1 and Historic Group C) or two seperate weeks?
3. Length of events. Too long? Too short?
4. Anything else.

Please, any comments and/or criticisms are gladly accepted.

Congratulations to all winners. C-H-A-R-G-E-R, I just didn't have it in me in PRO down the stretch, but a great fight all season.

Congratulations CHARGER for tearing up the field!

1. Length of series. Too many events? Too many the same?

Considering GT4 is a very old game now without real online racing I think it will be tough to keep interest and regular parcipation for 20 weeks of racing. 8 events/16 weeks seems more reasonable for such an old game

2. Qualifying. Better idea to have qualifying and race all the same event (like S1 and Historic Group C) or two seperate weeks?

If a race is going to be 2 weeks in length I'd rather have 1 week for Q to see where I stack up. Also I don't know about the 3 lap sprint race Q when in the end the only thing that matters is your fastest lap.

3. Length of events. Too long? Too short?

Considering these are sports cars I say the length of race is just about right

4. Anything else.

Personally, I would like to see the closed cockpit LM cars, the Bentley, the GT-One, the R390, The CLK-GTR1, I would like to see them take over the LMP1 category and I would like to see the open cockpit prototypes, the R8, the C60 etc, I would like to see them as LMP2 cars. Sort of like how the rules will be for Le Mans in 2010.

LMP1 850-1000 HP 900-990KG

LMP2 600-650 HP 900KG

And I don't know about not scoring and taking away people's points that they've earned earlier in the season just because they don't race regularly.

That's all I can think of, for now

First of all - a huge congratulations to all the winners in this series and especially to CHARGER for dominating so many events!

Also, a big thank you goes out to Chris for running this series so well and for keeping it interesting. 👍 👍

On a personal note, about 10 months ago, GT4 became my very first experience with any kind of video game (unless you count Pac-Man during my college days) and I quickly became immersed in the excitement of racing simulation. Some would say I went a little overboard with my setup. :D But I completely enjoyed every lap of every race and it has been my great pleasure racing with you all. I look forward to seeing you all next season!

Which brings me to comments and criticisms - I basically agree with everything that Earth had to say, especially the LMP1 & LMP2 suggestion. However, I like the length of the series at 10 events because it allows for people to either miss an event or, perhaps due to time constraints, not put in their best effort and still have a chance to finish strong in the standings at season's end.

Congratulations again to all and thank you all for a great introduction to GT4 racing!! 👍

Thank you all for this season and these words. Congratulations to everyone! Great racing by GTXDriver! Lookes like this season both winners are from Eastern Europe 👍

Also a personal thank to Chris for everything, for minimum of mistakes and his attention to our opinions. 👍

1. Length of series. Too many events? Too many the same?
In my opinion 10 races are optimal 👍 Racetracks were great 👍

2. Qualifying.
I think hotlaps are much better than short races, and 2 weeks for a round (1week - Q; 1week -R) was a great idea.

3. Length of events. Too long? Too short?
I think that length of our races is just about right.

4. Anything else.
There are 2 things that I dislike:
1. +/- HP in qualifying - there should be stock settings only, or it will loose it's meaning.
2. I think we should use any AI level, because we are racing against each other not with AI cars... And sometimes in GT2 and GT3 they are awfully stupid and there are a lot of problems with correct overtaking.

I will be very happy to see you all racing online with GT5 Prologue.

Good points. 👍

At some settings the AI can be detrimental to fast lap times. However, when GT5 comes out and we have true online racing it will be interesting to see how 16+ real drivers will behave towards each other. So, having AI's set at +10 could be good practise.

The point regarding qualifying power/weight penalties is well taken also; it should be stock settings. But, unless there is a true pole position earned, I don't see the purpose of even having quali laps, except to earn more points of course. :)

Back in the Round 10 Race thread, I said...
I'm actually hoping for a good finish in the standings to cap off Season 2. A win would be nice to go along with the 2 GT2 class wins I got this season, but my best memory is getting pole in GT1 and winning in GT2 at New York Reverse.:D:tup:

Turns out the win in GT1 was what I was hoping for, including a podium finish in GT3. I'm glad this GTPLMS Season finished off on a high note for me.:embarrassed: Hopefully I can remember what I learned from what I did in GT1 that last round and put it to use next season. Hopefully, I can add a class win in the Subaru to the 'to do' list for next year as well as becoming more competitive in the RX-7.:D

Now, on to the questions...

1. Length of series. Too many events? Too many the same?
Sounds like 10 rounds is just right for this series.;)👍 Some of the track picks were pretty good too. Especially Tokyo R246 for the Petit LeMans. I hope this track is on the calendar for Season 3.
2. Qualifying. Better idea to have qualifying and race all the same event (like S1 and Historic Group C) or two seperate weeks?
Why not do the Qualifying and the Race together over a 2 week period for all rounds except for LeMans where it can be contested over a 3 week period? The latter is optional and the choice for that is up to you Shotgun.:) As for the reasoning, the Clio Cup series that I run have rounds that last 2 weeks. This is because I believe some of the competitors have other series commitments and/or things that come up in real life that might make it harder for them to take part and do their best to put in a good time should the rounds be like 1 week each. Tose who are in the Clio Cup series should understand my reasoning behindthis.
3. Length of events. Too long? Too short?
The last 2 rounds had pretty much the right idea as to how long a non-LeMans race should be. Petit LeMans - and maybe the other double points rounds - should be at least an hour in race length while the 'endurance sprint' rounds should at least 40 minutes in race length.
4. Anything else.
Agreed with Earth on having LMP1 & LMP2 classes. And keep the 3 GT classes as well. Who knows if any GTPlanet newcomers could be interested in starting out in GT3 next season? That's pretty much a starter class or for those who could use a little more sports car racing experience.:sly:👍

Congratulations to all winners.
Thanks Shotgun.:sly:👍

it was very fun to race in here 👍, hope there is another season..:)

p.s. i would like to apologize once again for the incorrect time in round 9 with the subaru (54:12.490), the time is real, but was with a wgt, hp and set of tires outside the rules of the series, it was my mistake to send in those erroneous times, i was using them to see how those changes affect performance... just in case the correct time was 57:39.337....
