•Swiss Legend Photos • Goodbye

the third shot looks awesome! it reminds me of top gear for some reason. did you use a gradient filter for that ? anyhow i think it would look so much better without the vignetting on it. but overall a great capture.

Show off
Great update once more. The drift shots, both are insane!! I like the "simplistic" style of the 1st, but I see that on the 2nd one, you burned those tires mate!! The smoke is really awesome!!!!
You might be surprised (or not), but my favourite shot is the 2nd one. Great camera and great realism there. I know that shot is more PMC looking, but its enough to be my favourite, good work indeed!!
The last shot its nicely edited, good speed there, good contrast, lovely sky...what more can be said 👍

Swiss "the" Legend, congrats once more 👍...and btw continue to update that 1st page, I really love the banners, great display indeed, very pro looking!! I suggest everyone to go see what I´m talking 👍

Very cool stuff here. Top job
Thanks SNEJKi, Your comment's much appreciated!

I like the first two shots.
Not much for the over-the-top edited look huh? Just let the picture speak for itself? That is more your style. :) Just like Nuno.

Jeremy can sure drift can't he? Used 2 layers for the smoke. Just a "multiplied" on the copy layer, then an overlay. I'm a sucker for too much vignetting..:D

 Thanks for the comments mate. Those tired are shredded now . Glad you liked the shots. I did the second shot for you mate, thought you'd like it. :)
I will continue to update the first page for sure. Thanks for the +rep on that!

I have done a lot of HDR shots recently. I just attempted my first GT4 HDR. Taken from 7 different exposures... No editing. Just tone mapping after the conversion to HDR, and noise added. Let me know what you think! I thought I'd try an HDR GT4 shot after franz brought it up in jg's gallery :D

And and HDR shot from Hawaii.

the supra's looking good, the reflections are very strong. i'm just wondering why the car looks like it's been chrome plated ? not that it's bad, it looks good. what model supra is that ? it looks like the sz-r. i'm just not used to seeing it at a stock suspension setting, but the lighting and the cleaning are quite good. not a fan of the noise level, but it plays a part in the photo. the colors sure are lovely.

Thanks! That's just the way it came out! Chrome plated:lol: It is the RZ-R. That thing has not been raced yet. The noise did come out a bit much. I only had it 1.2, well below my average.

Let me know what you think about this guys! Comments appreciated!

it looks good either way. and oh yea, i Have tried some HDR editting in the past, specially with the joint venture i did with TVR&FF a year or two ago.

Seriously I am not a fan of heavy HDR style, but Swiss you did a great job. They are very natural 👍

I've always wanted to try an HDR shot as well, and I'll probably try it soon. Did you do it in Photoshop? Whenever I want to convert my images using three different exposures (-0.6, 0, 0.6), I always get an error message :irked:

But to comment your shot:

Nice effect, though the Supra definitely lacks cleaning. (Not your fault, we can blame PD for making it one of the crappier textured cars...) Something typical about HDR shots is also that the point is to get every detail out of it, and many colors. Maybe you could try placing a colorful car in a colorful area next time to try and achieve a better result? I'm missing some colors in this shot, would be nice to see a blue sky and a grey tarmac come through :)

Nice effort though, like I said to Adrian, you, him and some other members are really stepping on it lately!

Man, I would've liked to see that.

Nor am I a fan of heavy HDR. Looks way too...well, fantasy like. I just want to bring out the full range of what you can actually see. I hate when people take it too far.

I did use photoshop. i use cs3. I think cs2 has the option also. In File>Automate>Merge TO HDR. I also have used a program called Photomatix. I have had mixed results using both programs. PS might handle one particular shot better than Photmatix and vise versa. But that only happened a couple times. For the most part i have found that Photomatix works better.
For that shot I didn't clean it at all, that is the exact way it came out of the game. I just happened to pick that shot. I am going to rework my tournament winner and an M3 shot.

I will definitely delve into HDR more often here. I have taken a heavy interest in it, especially when I saw what sunset shots look like in HDR, as sunsets are my main focus in real photography.

I like the GT4 HDR photograph, looks very natural 👍

Has for the Hawai picture, even thought the HDR has more colour detail on it, I still prefer the -1 Exposure one, maybe because of the sky.

I have to try this someday 👍

Thanks man, I do love how natural HDR can make pictures. You should definitely try it one day.

As for an update guys...I have a few shots in store. They were all on my desktop, which I just reformatted. So it'll be awhile before I get anything in this gallery again. I do however have some shots from a recent little excursion I went on. I might post them here or in the photography threads.

Fantastic work on everything Swiss! I haven't been around the photomode forums much at all so it's nice to see you still here.

:D thanks a lot for the comment! I hope the next update will be soon. But honestly I have no idea when it will arrive.

Whoa!!! c_f!!! Holly ^*%, great to see you around again. Thanks for the comment nad for checking out the gallery. You better stick around bro :D

The Supra is looking great. The HDR seems useful there, the atmosphere is quite dark for the cars.

About the real image, I wish I were there, it's jealous. What camera did you use? I'm not a fan of HDR but I see the problem you fixed there.

Thanks for the comment alex, The supra looks pretty good for not having done a single thing to the shot but blend all the exposures.

The real image is from Hawaii, taken with my Lumix DMC-TZ3. Quite an impressive little camera. And a very far cry from my Minolta 35mm I usually use. The Lumix is completely automatic, something that drives me a bit crazy.

I really hate heavy HDR, but for taking pictures of sunsets and scenery and what have you, it really helps to bring out details that would otherwise be missed. I will post many pics from recent trips.
Think I should post them here or the real photography forum. I have been thinking of starting one there.

So a little update on my computer situation...
My HP desktop somehow had the HD driver misplaced, The boot manager screwed, and the usb ports all F&(*$ed up. SO I ordered recovery disks from HP. Put them in...says "These disks aren't supported by your system, You cannot recover your system from these disks."
I then got onto HP's chat service, and had a go with an agent. He traced to the HD malfunctioning. I took that as bs. He also told me I had to ship it HP and have them replace the mobo, processor and HD for 200 dollars. I said no and goodnight.
Agent number two was a complete douche and had me try thing over and over that I already told him I did to try and solve the problem. He also said that I was basically an idiot. I had some choice words for him. Believe me......:grumpy:
The third agent actually asked me pertinient questions. Like "What are the part numbers to your recovery disks?" I gave him the numbers. He replied back, " Those part numbers don't correspond to your system".
Nice....

HP SENT ME THE WRONG RECOVERY DISKS!
btw: I bought a new HD thinking that was the problem, as diagnostics suggested. That wasn't it either.
I have spent close to 12 hours dinking around with my 900 dollar computer because some jackass sent me the wrong disks. At least HP replaced them for free. The first and second agents...bless their hearts for helping me.

Thanks for listening to my little tirade. My new set if disks is coming tomorrow. So hopefully I will have an update soon. Its very hard to produce "quality work" with an old version of PS on a little Mac 14inch screen. Man this thing is sloooowww.... I'm not up to the challenge.

I have loved seeing the work of all you guys though. Makes me miss editing.

Well I had to bite the bullet, I bought a new computer, a Dell, a kickass computer for only 350. YAY! I expect it to arrive at the beginning of march. I was able to save all my pictures from the old HD. Thats the reason I hadn't been updating. They were all on the old HD, I thought I had it backed up but I didn't. So all is saved.
Therefore Iwill have an update pretty soon, tonightt or tomorrow.
FINALLY! :D

glad to hear you got your computer back. a nice update to celebrate it with too. you should enter the gt4 photomode 2.0 comp with that photo. it's the white car theme, so it's very suited for it. i love the details and sharpness of that photo. the vignetting i'm not very fond of though. would of been better without it to emphasize the bright lights around the car. but it works well either way. great work man! hope to see more from you.

Good to hear you got your computer back :).. Also a nice shot of the Mercedes 👍 Keep up the good work, Swiss Legend ;)..

Best wishes,

It’s great, I like it. You manage to bring more some of the reflections, making the car more shinning that it is.
Not so found of the canvas, they make the environment a bit dark, but I think, in the other hand, they bring out the white car. 👍

Thanks man! I did enter it in the comp, as you saw :P. I think I overdid the vignetting a bit. Oh well, the more vignetting, the more highlights, imo at least. But past a certain point it will start to diminish them

Reflections are something I really love to try to enhance. Glad you liked. Like I told jg, I over did the vignetting but hoped it would bring out the reflections more. :) Hope to have more shots very soon!

so...a new computer, enjoy it Swiss 👍

The SL500 is solid looking!! That white on the hood, WOW!! Quite sharp too. You used nice rims btw:tup:

So...next update will be??!!...
