I think the texture is too obvious that it is repeated. If you do some bluring or what ever, it might lift it up a little......but what do I know?

Good shot though...especially like the angle

Well, the chosen car fits perfectly to the background 👍 The picture is all in all well done :)

Best wishes,

S-Line Audi Fan

The splash of the drops is a great effect. I may not comment often around here, but I sure will give proper comments for those pictures that deserve it. ;)

Great experiment. I love the rain, it is very realistic, and the colours are great too 👍
Did you add the blur in road? Seems very well done 👍

very nice crop! the contact points were something my bmw project was missing. you did a great job with it. the blur and the rain really go well together. did i inspire you to do that? the colors are a great touch as well. great job !!!

Eh, the rain contact points need to be softened a little. Other than that it's a very good picture.
Ya think? I was going for a heavy rain effect. Glad ya liked it though.

Thanks man, I love the angle too :)
Well, I blurred noise and turned it into rain. :D I like this technique over rendering clouds and blurring those. I thought about doing a second layer of rain to give it more depth, but thought it might then look too cluttered.

Thanks bro. The Top Gear episode where Jeremy drove the SLR from London to Oslo inspired the shot.

Well I appreciate that L! Thanks for stopping by.

Glad you liked! Getting those tones right took longer than the rain.
I did add noise to the road, zoom blurred it, then gaussin blurred the road near the curve.

You got me wanting to do a weather shot again, Jeremy from Top Gear gave me the SLR idea.

I actually like the composition of the photo the most. Nice job 👍
👍 thanks bro!

Very nice shot pal! You've even got the rain splashing on the road and the car. I like everything about this shot, composition, cleaning, everything. Great stuff! 👍

I did observe one wee fault or two though. The car looks like it it travelling at some sort of speed (judging by the blur on the road), but the rain is falling straight down. Wouldn't the rain be flying back instead of straight down? Also, wouldn't the car be throwing up spray too?

I'm not being negative here, I love the shot. But when you open the door to new possibilities, don't be surprised if people get curious and look in! (if you catch my drift) :D 👍

Thanks mag! Glad you liked. I really appreciate you being curious and looking in...:D
Let's just say that the SLR was cruising...and that it just started raining so theres no spray yet  But I am working on another shot that has about the same premise. Sp we'll see how that goes.

those were my biggest perspective issues when i did my 'flying in the rain' piece, which was shot in the nurburgring with a red audi wagon. it can be found under my gt4 album at DA.

Just a couple of shots that I found while looking for competition shots. I've wanted to edit the S4 for awhile now. And thought they came out well.

Please view this one enlarged. Notice the rearview mirror reflection :D

Just for kicks...

This shot is more of an experiment. Let me now what ya think...

HEY...WHAT THE HELL IS THIS????!!!!!  👍👍

About your latest update, I like the overall result. The shiny look of the M3 is really cool. The S4 is a sexy car no doubt, and you have shown that well. Great contrast on the 1st shot, and in the the 2nd one I like the simplistic/cool look of it 👍

👍 NTX 👍

P.S - again on the SLR

Very good update indeed. I love the 2 S4 pictures. The M3 is good, but there is something that doesn't seem to quite match, but it is great. 👍

You should have changed the title, I was almost missing this great update because I thought the SLR was still the last update in here...

very crisp audi shots!! i love the sharpness of the photos, including the bmw. great reflections as well. the first audi shot somehow has a comic appeal to it. don't know why. must be the tone of blue and the way the car looks. i mean that in a good way of course.
well done bud!

 Wow, that M3 looks gorgeous! The colors are intersting: The car is dark red and the background is black-white 👍 Nice choices!

SVX
Nice Lighting effects on the Audi Swiss Legend.:)
Thanks SVX! It took some time :)

Surprised? Glad you enjoyed the SLR :D
Thanks, I know there were a few flaws to the audi, but I really just wanted it done. I have found that I am getting less and less time to edit. :indiff:

I like the BMW M3 E46 shot.
Thanks Jamie!

The M3 is really really good
ooo, I got an "" from alex (aka...King of Lighting)! Glad you liked!

Is it the red car vs B&W background? I noticed that i hadn't changed the title the next day :ill:. I am wondering if some people missed it, but since its changed...no worries. Dont forget about that thing we discussed bro :D

Shots with BMW and Audi are very cool
:)👍 thanks!

The SLR is just WOW
I thank you much!

Awesome, I was hoping someone would say that. I tried to give a slight comic feel, without goin overboard like the accord I did way back. I forgot about a technique that I learned while back for sharpening. I applied it to this set of pics. But it's a secret.

Glad you liked. I thought the B&W background would bring out the car more.

The problem is that it seems that the car is darker than the overall background (this caused by the B&W background. But it is great in the same way.

Also, I didn’t forget about that thing, problem is it is the end of the term and things kind of complicate (exams, works, evaluation…). When I arrange some time I let you know about it, as, I am anxious about it, as well.

Yes, it does.. It makes the car look better and more expensive
:D sweet.

Well, as long as it's still on the table. I don't know how I have time to do any of this either. more than fulltime work, wife, & remodeling a house. Man it gets crazy. The things we do for the love of photomode. Whenever you find time bro 👍
Anxious about all the things you have to do or the update? j/k. good luck for the end of the term.

Just to let you all know., I am working on a small update. Hopefully by the weekend.

You have said you are having less time to edit Swiss, I just hope this doesn´t mean you are leaving GTP so soon :(

Hope not, because just look at your skills...today you are one of the most talented members around here, you have reached very high grounds, and I really want to continue seeing you around, to see how much more you can go:tup:

NTX...the pain in the *ss member :D

Less time yes. But I wouldn't think of leaving. Not until I think I have achieved everything I could here, and I think I am far from that. Checking out this area of the site is just about as common as me checking my email. :dopey:
Thanks for your comment man! Thats kind of you to say. :embarrassed:

On another note I found out that I have had photoshoots with over 300 cars in GT4 in a year and 3 months. I need to get more of them on here! So look for some updates soon. A preview is below of an upcoming update.
There will also be a special shot of "Aston Brothers" coming too.

Well... (currently active) King of Lighting :D
edit: thought I'd throw in the new cccl entry for good measure.
