Hey, guys. I did not want to start a thread but could not find a place where to ask this question.

Last couple of days I get this error message. Why is this happening? Is there anything I can do?

Be more precise:
when is it happening/what are you trying to do before this error occurs.
Does it happen always (100%) of the time?

Ok, so this is what I am observing.
1. It happened 4-5 times so far
2. Typically it when I turn PS Pro on, go to GT7 and see this message
3. Not happening all the time

Do you have another playstation you play the game on?

I have PS5 that my brother uses. He has his own account. My account is not used on any other PS5 except for the one I use.

If you dont play anything except for GT7 you can very much ignore the error as all "important" progress is stored on the GT server instead of in your console storage.
Or follow part 2 of the message and disable auto-sync.

While cloudsavegames can be a fine thing in some situations, I dont see the need why this feature should be enabled by default.
In the rare case the console fries and I have to start from zero because I didnt use it, the world does not end, as - the same way I mentioned above by GT7 - most time consuming titles are always online mulitplayer games with the progress on the servers, so the loss would be a select few singleplayer games.
And copying to the cloud manually doesnt take too long for the cautious players.

I do not trust PS5 Pro and I would not wsnt to start Gat7 from scratch if something happens with tge console. So what would be a good practice to ensure my data is safe and I am fine either way? Thanks!

You would only lose things like replays or liveries or so (I dont know what all is stored on the console for this game, no matter how often I do read it).

Your cars/garage, credits, parts, rank, times, all that is on the server.
I do not trust PS5 Pro
Why is that?
Only by personal experience, I have yet to send in a console that is not faulty right from the start - which only happened once (with a PS5 Pro to make your fears grow ;) ).
Maybe I could consider myself lucky in that case, if I was to believe in any such thing.

Well, I have PS5 Pro since Dec and already twice it would not start. I would need to start it on safe mode and try everything to make it work

The solution is pretty straightforward. On that screen, select which of the saved data you want to keep (usually the most recent ones) and that's it.

It's an error that occurs when you have Playstation Plus cloud data sync enabled and a sync upload fails (in this case, almost certainly the hours when PSN was down last Saturday). That creates a conflict with 2 pieces of data, which could be solved automatically by simply prioritizing the most recent one, but since in certain cases that could mean data loss (for example, if you've just changed consoles and use the same account), they let you choose.

I've gotten that a few times. Like, literally probably five over multiple years. I just pick whichever one has the latest date/time. The real odd thing is multiple times the date/time of the last save was identical.

It's never been an issue as after a few seconds the game launches and everything looks normal. I don't think much of it.

Usually it only means that the automatic upload of the save file to the PS servers (not the game servers! That is handled within GT and not visible to the player) was interrupted.
Ensure that you turn the console off completely in case you cut the power to it. Don't put it in sleep and then cut power. Full shutdown. Or leave it in sleep and don't cut power to it.
