Wow! An unprecedented first in the Turtle Flex Racing Series! Three drivers battled it out hard to tie for the lead in the Final Results! Despite not logging a win (but likely would have in Race 3 if not for the dreaded disconnect), GTMX_HECTO1 won this week via the tie breaker, running strong enough in the other races with a pair of 2nd place finishes. RacingOtaku and DolphDrago won one race a piece, with Racing taking 2nd overall with a faster lap than Dolph in 2 of the 3 races. BionicDerp took the win in race 1 after a fantastic battle with Hector. If not for connection issues for Bionic and DNS'ing the second race as a result, he would have been there right in the mix for the top podium spot in the final standings after all was said and done. Besides Racing and Dolph, gr8racrs was the only other driver to finish all 3 races, leaving him with a strong 4th place overall finish. Bionic took 5th after his two races, with turnupdaheat following closely behind in 6th. BustedFoSho and deadbobb777 rounded out the field in their only races, coming in 7th and 8th places respectively.

I want to thank everyone who came out. Despite the connection issues, I sincerely hope everyone had a good time out there. I know I did! 👍


Edit: I dun goofed in the time behind the leaders in race 2 (Finishing positions were correct. I must have forgotten to change the time behind the leader from race 2 from the week before). Also had the wrong time colored in red for the fastest lap. Fixed now. Going to re-check the other two races to make sure they are correct as well.

Putting a feeler out there. How many people plan to show up for the Le Mans racing this week? I know a lot of you guys are strapped for cash, err...credits (since this isn't real life), and the cars ain't exactly cheap. The Vipers run $1.45 mil, the Audi $1.98 mil, and the glorious 787B is $2.1 mil.

With that in mind, do you guys want to go ahead with this race, run a different combo with (a) cheaper car(s), or simply skip this week in an effort to collect credits for future car purchases? Please let Phish or me know ASAP so we can decide what to do. Thanks. :)

That's no problem. Keep 'em. Even if we decide not to race the Le Mans event this week, I'm hell bent on still running it, albeit several weeks later than originally planned. Still waiting to hear feedback from others. Once we get enough feedback, we'll make a decision then. I have a feeling we're going to be running a cheaper car this week. I already had sent Phish some other race combos a couple of months ago when planning the original schedule for when FLEX started back up. Some of them didn't make the first cut (I suggested a pretty large number of combos :lol:), but were probably going to be run later, assuming there was still enough interest in the series. We'll see.

However, the enduro at Bathurst the week after is a go. I will not be pushing that one back. I think we will get a good turnout for that one.
 
Well if I remember correctly, it isn't nearly as expensive as the Le Mans cars scheduled (temporarily) for this week. Everyone should be able to afford it by next week. :lol:
 
I think it's $1.2 mil... Or in the 300k - 600k range. :lol:

We should have more seasonals soon anyway. More monies. Apart from that, the X2014 events are good to grind on.
 
I can't make it this week anyway but I'm on money constraints.... So if everyone has the cars or enough money to buy them, go on without me 👍
 
Well so far three of us have the cars. But if I don't get more responses soon, we won't run them this week. Thanks for the input. I shall wait patiently for others' thoughts.:sly:
 
I almost finished off the S class events. Silver at Sarthe... One more star. >_<

I'm ready for pretty much anything. $5 mil credits now. :lol:
 
Due to the lack of responses and little time for preparation, namely testing and a lack of time for practice, I think we may skip running an "official" race this week. However, as I said earlier, I still fully plan on running the Bathurst Enduro next week. I'm thinking maybe we can run some practice for the Enduro and do a partial race to get a feel for it. Let me know what you guys think.
 
Yeah, I would be keen to do something so maybe we could run some practice/races as you mentioned. For a bit of variety we could possibly look at running some races using cars from the recommended list?
 
Well, the seasonals arrived like I thought. That's $3 mil more to spend. Also, re-doing the X2014 Standard championship apparently nets you $1 mil every 20-25 minutes if you're still short of cash. :P
 
Well the seasonals will help those strapped of cash. The Le Mans races have still been postponed to a future date. I plan on just running a practice/partial-race room tomorrow for next week's race and maybe some random races if anyone is up for them afterwards. 👍

And you're right about that car. I was surprised to see it costs a little over $1 million.

I plan to work on the future schedule after next Friday's race. I will try to keep it to lower priced cars, which will mean more production cars. Racing cars will be in the mix though, just cut back a little for now until people can afford the more expensive cars. The cars from the recommended list mentioned by turnupdaheat may be used as well. We'll see how it shakes out. :)
 
I'll be missing this week as well... Network maintenance night and this'll be an annoying one. Flex is going to be a tough one for me to make regularly but I'll definitely make it when I can.
 
I plan to open up a room for FLEX around 9:30. Plan is to going to be some practice and semi-race. It wouldn't surprise me if only a few people show up. If so, maybe it'll just be a practice.
 
hi @Dolph Drago, are you still going to do the LeMans on Friday? I might be able to join you guys...

I can't commit week after week but I wll try to come out as much as I can. I actually planned on joining the gt300 race but forgot about it. Will you do a GT500 as well?
