Rules for the Allen Berg Racing Schools Challenge:

• One ABRS point will be awarded for each Sunday night race that a drivers competes in
• Drivers who are not on the starting grid for any reason (network issues, lack of DLC, being late, etc) will not receive an ABRS point
• Any driver that is imposed a penalty by the stewards will also be docked an equal amount of ABRS points
• The more ABRS points a driver has earned, the better odds he will have at winning the random prize drawing
• ABRS points will be docked for inappropriate behavior in the lounge or on the thread (e.g. posting a public racing complaint instead of filing an incident report)

@ExoSphere64 You jot me down as a Floating Data specialist for all divisions. If there are replays in SNAIL Drive/Open Drive and data hasn't been done for a division by thrursday evenings I will take care of it before and after practice.

Also I think it would be useful if the Scorekeepers also took note of the pole lap times. It will give a added dimension for examining and helping with divisional placement in my opinion. What do you think @zer05ive @kcheeb @Exoshpere64 @JLBowler @Oshawa-Joe

Thanks Fox. I will list you as such. Having the data covered is something that I have always taken a shine to. As far as logging pole times, it is something I have been doing since I started doing data. It may not be the time for it right now but once the dust settles and everyone gets comfortable with their jobs, I definitely support the idea.

With all the replay inconsistency, I have taken to taking a quick photo of qualifying times and finishes (was times and gaps) with a camera or phone to make sure I can get the data later.

Cheap, fast, easy, effective. Unlike, say, the replay system, especially at the moment!

Zer05ive's link on the page before is still quite good (other than the dedicated lounges we had in GT5). Any buzz on when the January update may get done by PD? I am still hankering for the course creator, though I am increasingly wondering if that was just marketing shinola.

Is there an age limit for that? I mean, suppose I win this. Im 16. Would they really let a 16 year old drive one of these fun things? I mean if I'm allowed I'm not complaining, just curious about this.

You don't have to treat it like a time trial. Pretend your an automobile magazine writer, grab the car and take it for a spin. Throw a couple of laps down and post up your times. The Audi is a pig in the corners and the 'Vette is fun to rumble around in. Makes the buttkicker react nicely. The Audi however, while sounding almost cool, doesn't really do much getting the buttkicker talking. Everything sounds better clutch shifting however.

Don't think the kid is very serious about editing the board though.

Yeah, saw that about a week ago. Very cool indeed. I wonder though, how does it say positively attached to the wheels? They didn't hit anything that took a wheel off the ground. Is it just those 4 rollers on the sidewall of the tire and that hub cap thing? And for what I imagine the price will be, there are a number of snowmobiles I'd like to own that would be more affordable.

I have no idea of the tech and specifics behind those things. Still wondering what kind of transmission they've built between the tire and snow tread to make them both rotate the same direction. I can only imagine a set of those will likely cost more than the truck you plan to put them on. Yeah you could probably buy several snowmobiles for the price of those add-ons. Thing is, do your snowmobiles come with heat and room for 4 or more? Hell, you could put those things on an SUV, pack a few friends and all their gear and go chase moose herds across the snow packed fields of Canada, or Iceland, or Russia. Although, who, in their right minds, would want to do that?

Still, I thought it was pretty cool.

Not sure what yous two are talkng about, but this is how I deal exactly with time trails. I hate them, hate them meeces to pieces. But, that trick is well used and advised. Used it when I was involved in tuning challenges too, but, then I was writing little blurps on the car I was testing as well, so I guess I sort of was taking on the roll anyway.

I imagine they probably use some sort of planetary gear set. With all the snow though, it is hard to get a should look at it. Wonder what info they have on their website. Anyway, not only are lots of sleds heated. Seats and handle grips, heated helmets and some even hook up to heat jackets, but I can get a two up sled and a companion trailer to pull two people in. though I won't be getting a two up, or that trailer, well, sled I suppose. You can be well heated and comfy on a snowmobile. And I can't see that truck keeping up with a snowmobile, even on a lake or open field. I don't think I would trust those things to handle the speeds I've been at on a sled.

I'm not sure if it's been implemented yet, if it hasn't I'm pretty sure it will be, but, there's a deadline of Saturday 11:59PM for new members to get all the necessary steps done and get placed for Sunday racing. While I'm not certain you will be all setup to race with us tonight, you will certainly be all squared away for next Sunday's races.
