Round 3 - West Surrey Racing, 1983 Ayrton Senna (Race Hard tires) at Autodromo Nazionale Monza (5 laps)
This means either the car or the track will be replaced for next week's line-up. Since @Wolfsatz gets Prize B, he has the option to "freeze" the car or the track, or he can give that option to the Prize C winner. If he gives the "freeze" away, then he gets to decide what car or track replaces the part of the combo that is left unfrozen by the Prize C winner.

Prize C goes to @llNOVAII so he gets whichever option the Prize B winner does not select.

DLC Cars - Only DLC cars that are FREE and currently still available in the PlayStation Store can be selected.

Any non-DLC track can be selected as long as a single lap with the car combo'd with it would not take more than five minutes to complete. For example, don't select anything that includes the Nurburgring's Nordschleife.

Very Memorable Sunday Racing for me. Winning the night has been close so many times and at the wrong moment either I, equipment or disconnects have happened. I'd like to congratulate @JJLopez427 because over the last few weeks he has not only improved his speed but his racecraft is sublime! Great Racing with ya!

No you don't. You see still pictures which don't even come close to telling the whole story about any incident. This is why I never understand it when a driver tries to take pictures and send them to stewards to plead their case.

Not trying to be super serious. I'm just pointing out that you can't make a determination about what happened on track from a single still picture. You have to have everything that happens just before and just after. Still pictures can be taken at just the right time to make a case for just about anything.

While you may have been just teasing, going OoB, in and of itself, is not a penalty. What the driver does while they're out there and how they get back on the racing surface is more important and where penalties get levied.

I'm well aware of that, but I guess it's good to bring up in case you guys see a lot of that in IRs.

0.042 - Gap from 1st to 2nd in the first race of the night. Photo finish!

Actually, it wasn't quite that close in the end. The gap to @nmcp1 was 10 times larger than that at the end. A whole .422 of a second. I was under no pressure at all during that race!

The chase for Pole Position was a much tighter affair with nmcp just a James Bond'ish .007 of a second behind me. I was shaken but not stirred!

Speaking of nmcp, I am delighted he won Prize A this week and surprised to hear he hadn't managed to so before. He is as fast and consistent on track as his lightning responses to new member requests. On top of it all he is a complete gentleman and a pleasure to race against even though it is the rear of his car I'm usually looking at. A good example of this gentlemanly behaviour came towards the end of race 1 at Monza. On the last lap I managed to get a good run out of the Lesmo bends and caught and passed nmcp for 3rd place before Ascari. We both had a nice clean run through the chicane and on the run towards the final turn he closed in on me. I was thinking ahead that there was going to be an interesting run down to the finishing line but through the Parabolica I slightly lost the rear end and got into a slide. I managed to save it but obviously nmcp had to slow to avoid contact and as he was still behind me when I gathered it up I thought the fairest thing to do would be to slow and let him by. This I did, but he just stayed in behind me, backed off as much as I did and wouldn't pass. After the race he said it was my position. As I said, a gentleman.

I'll miss you when you move to D1.

It was a fun night in D3, again with almost every driver getting a podium at least once. No connection or lag issues, and fun combos. Also, very clean racing overall, despite some misjudged braking zones by yours truly in the 2nd combo. @kadrek ran away with the night with two poles, two golds, and three fast laps. @socalnatv managed a 2nd place finish despite not getting a gold all night - just another example of how important it is to be consistent! We had a 3-way tie for 3rd place also, and the tiebreaker(s) went to @JLBowler and @SGETI, respectively.

Congrats to @kadrek for the unofficial win! And I am very glad that Combo 1 is gone!
