Hey there racers. I am interested in joining the Snail Racing organization and getting to know the people and policies that keep it strong.

I was in a Quick Match recently for Mount Panorama and I messaged a racer commenting on his respect for others racing line, and he pretty much read my mind with a very similar complementary reply.

After reading what the group is about and how you maintain things I was interested in seeing what else I can do to try and join in on the action and the fun. I will keep an eye on the thread as it recommends. Until then, this is Michael Clancy, PSN: The_Embalmer

I look forward to meeting more racers. Till then have fun guys.

@Leprechaun25

Here's your official SNAIL Welcome Post!
Thanks for your interest!
Here's what you need to know (and do) in order to join:

We run a clean league by enforcing a strict penalty system based on the SNAIL OLR (which is a modified version of the GTP OLR). We also expect all of our drivers to know and follow The Good Racecraft Guide. Please become versed in both if you aren't already. Once that is complete, please follow the steps below to complete your entry into the league:

1. You start a conversation and add @CoachMK21, @Dragonwhisky, @JLBowler, @nmcp1 & @zer05ive as participants. The conversation title should be "Request To Join".

2. SNAIL Administrators will respond with specific instructions on what you need to accomplish to join the SNAIL [Spec] Racing club. Sunday races are organized exclusively through the GT6 Community features within the game.

3. Place the following links (URLs) in the favorites (or bookmarks) in your web browser for quick reference. Please make every effort to read and understand the following links. Over the years a great deal of time and effort has gone into creating this league and we would like nothing more than to have you but we ask that you take the time and effort to do your homework. 99.9% of any question you may have about SNAIL can be found in the posts below.
4. You drive fast and clean on Sunday 👍

Again, the original post has everything you need to know about what to expect on Sunday night and what you will need to have completed in order to be competitive. If you have any questions, please feel free to post your question on the thread. If you have a preference for car/wheel colour and racing number, please follow the instruction contained here.

During the week we run a number of different events, we encourage all SNAILs to join as many as possible.
Welcome to SNAIL

After some intense racing on Red Bull Ring with the Mercedes SLK and with some of the fastest D1 racers in the room we could not break the sub-10 minute barrier in 5 laps. That means 6 Laps will be well over the 12 minutes for most of the league. I will therefore recommend to change the Mid Div Race Lap times to 2:01 (or 121 seconds) which means a 5 lap race. I updated the New Combo Table accordingly. The SLK turns out to be a good Combo. It is in the "Goldielocks Zone" (Not too easy and not too difficult - just right)

Hey guys...been out for a while, but I'd like to resume this Sunday. What's the procedure to do so? I was in Div. 5 last I checked.

My PS3 has lost its mind and it has been apparently formatted. I am hoping that knowing as many SNAILS as I do, there will be someone that has some way to help me rebuild my garage etc... Unless I can get back to where I was, I won't be racing for a LONG time. FecK n such.

Unfortunately, there is no way for anyone to help you rebuild your garage. BSpec can be of assistance making the cash to build it back yourself. I'm curious why a garage "rebuild" is necessary for you race in SNAIL Sunday nights? There are only ever 3 cars and while your initial outlay could conceivably cost 3 million + oil changes and tires, from what I understand about Bspec, Seasonals, Quick Matches and other Special Events, ought to be about a less than 6 hour effort to gather that much.

don't forget you have to have at least an international B to even race online!

Hi all SNAILS,
Once again it was great fun running with d7 on sunday. We had a shakey start with conectivity issues but that was resolved. I want to thank all the guys making sure all posts and duties were covered, especially the host and data guys. You know who you are :gtpflag::cheers::bowdown:

On that note I have put together a highlights reel to save space on posting 101 images on thread so i hope ypu guys enjoy it.

OOoo I almost forgot to let you guys know that I will be receiving my long awaited Granstand today:D. So hopefully tonight i will be hosting my mid week jam sessions to launch my stand. For the usual suspects i will be sending out pings on PSN when room is up. I am thinking of opening a 'friends only' room. For all new drivers in divisions 6,7 and 8 if you want to take part tonight add me on PSN (Engmatic1) .

LADIES AND GENTLEMEN SHOWTIME. (if only icould save replays as a video, i could really get loos and make some awesome replay videos but in the mean time this is the best i can o and i hope you enjoy.)

Same thing happened to a me about a 1 1/2 months ago. I spent a saturday around the house doing what races I needed to do to get the license to qualify Bspec Bob for the big $ races, then turned him loose. Quick cash tips, Sierra, run them all and the Senna and Red Bull series, they add up quick. I'm steady at around 30mil now and have Bspec run a few of the 24 minute races a week to keep cash for SNAIL.

BTW, the new Golf VGT car rips it around Nord. I'm thinking about taking a run at the fastest lap with it this weekend and putting my beloved m3 GTR out of commision. A little more suspension and drivetrain tweaking and I think I can get close to the mythical 6 minute lap time.

Just wondering how many Nascar drivers competed in Indy and did good, verses how many open wheel drivers that were able to do the same. I believe the Nascar drivers fared better than the cart drivers.

last year Kurt Busch completed in the Indy 500 on the same day as the CocaCola 600. He did very well at Indy.

Juan Pablo Montoya which also raced in F1, is doing very well in Indy this season.. but never really do spectacular in Nascar.

Tony Stewart

There are certainly others that have done both to a reasonably competitive level (Robbie Gordon), but Tony is a 2-time champion.

Haven't taken it to the Nordschleife, but now I'm pumped for it.
You think a sub 6 is doable with it?
And are you tuning suspension and transmission only or full tilt?
