Are we talking $999.00 or more towards $599.00 There is no right answer or just one lap top at a certain price. How important is speed to you? Loading of documents or songs? You could go with a slower cpu yet bigger screen. Maybe speed is not important to you and the size of the screen is tops. No dvd tray or will you be needing a dvd tray? The questions are many.

Suggest you make a sandwich, get comfortable and google, "how to buy a laptop" After a few days of reading you will have a better understanding of price point and what you will be getting for your money.

Also do not be afraid to buy used. Just as with cars, you can get more bang for your buck with a used model, refurbished or open box. Make sure you buy from a reputable seller, with warranty.

The first thing you need to decide is what you want to use the computer for. There are way too many variables these days to spend $500- to $1000 bucks and without knowing what your purpose for buying the computer. Do you merely want to access social media? Do you want it for gaming? Maybe a tablet will be more of what you need? I work in IT and have purchased many laptops & desktops for enterprise solutions but I always know what the need is. Give me a clue and maybe I can suggest something reasonable. Also do you have any brand preference? HP, Dell, Samsung, Lenovo...

I have an extra Dell XPS 14z that just needs a new battery. If you are going to leave it always plugged in, you don't even need that. ( http://zapp4.staticworld.net/reviews/graphics/products/uploaded/dell_xps_14z_1148860_g1.jpg )

The round that received the most elimination votes was:
Round 1 - BMW M4 Coupé (Sports: Soft) at Cape Ring (4 laps)
Therefore the entire combo has been dropped from next week's line-up. Since @DMacs13 wins Prize A, he gets to choose an entirely new car and track combo to replace it.

The round that received the second most elimination votes was:
Round 2 - Cadillac CTS-V Coupe '11 (Sports: Soft) at Silverstone International Circuit (9 laps)
This means either the car or the track will be replaced for next week's line-up. Since @pakicote gets Prize B, he has the option to freeze the car or the track, or he can give that option to the Prize C winner. If he gives the freeze away, then he gets to decide what car or track replaces the part of the combo that is left unfrozen by the Prize C winner.

Prize C goes to @WraithQueen so she gets whichever option the Prize B winner does not select.

Preliminary prize winners, please don't announce your prize selection until all incident reports have been filed and it has been confirmed that you don't have any penalties. It's also recommended that you review the SNAIL combo history and other data on our car and track history so that you can get an idea how many times we've raced each car and track. Please remember that originality is always appreciated,so picking cars and tracks that we've never raced is a plus (but not required). What's more importantis that you thoroughly test any combo that you are considering before making it your official selection. For example, no car you select should not hit its rev limiter at any point during a race (even in the draft).

IMPORTANT: When posting your Prize A or Prize B selection, please list the complete in-game name of the car and/or track you are selecting. For example, if you want to select the Amuse Superlegara for your car, post "Amuse Nismo 380 RS Superlagara". If you want to select Monza for a track, post "Autodromo Nazionale Monza". This makes it much easier for the lineup to be updated accurately and also prevents confusing other league members as to which car or track you are selecting. Also, please be sure to list the PP and HP (after oil change) of any car you select.

Car Selection Guidelines
Dealership Cars - The maximum price for a selected car is now $1,000,000
DLC Cars - Only DLC cars that are FREE and currently still available in the PlayStation Store can be selected.

Track Selection Guidelines
Any non-DLC track can be selected as long as a single lap with the car combo'd with it would not take more than five minutes to complete. For example, don't select anything that includes the Nurburgring's Nordschleife.

Currently tracking 7 Incident Reports​

We have at least one prize winner with a racing incident being investigated by the stewards. This may, obviously, change the order of the prizes to be selected. All winners are asked to refrain from making selections until the Weekly Steward's report has been posted.

The target deadline for the Steward Reviews, this week, is Wednesday night by 10PM Eastern. The Steward Summary will be posted as soon as possible, following completion of reviews.

Just a note about Monday night Racing....if you want to race a couple of things need to happen.

Once I get and accept your fr, the system will allow me to invite you.
Accept the invite.
Make sure to watch the Monday Night Thread for changes and announcements.

Also announce on that thread if you plan to race so we can see if we need a second room.

Show up Monday nights....

If you wait until Monday to join the club your chances of making the races that week are slim to none.... So get things started Before the weekend to give me time to do all the GT6 paperwork.

I think we should upgrade the default car to the touring car. The boost still works really well and there's enough speed in the car to be a challenge outside of just keeping up momentum. And it's a hell of a lot of fun
 
If it ain't broke, don't fix it... I still find the stock miata to be the best car in the game to promote close and precise racing throughout the grid for the entire 20 minutes. It's just so forgiving no matter how bad you screw up, it really encourages you to try things out that you might not have done with a snappy over/understeery car, and in order to pass not only do you need to out drive your opponent, but you need to out think them as well.


The roadster touring car is faster, and I find certain people to be a little too antsy and out of control... Gets to be bumper cars real quick. Race two at suzuka was a prime example when a certain someone drove off into T1 behind me due to the hole I had created, and didn't use the brakes, and made said hole a lot bigger by bumping other drivers off course. That's not what Monday's about for me at least.

Yep.

"Keep it simple stupid"

I'd say the street Miata should be the only car used for Monday's. Folks that are dead set on having variety can get that on Sunday's. Monday's are supposed to be about close, controlled, wheel to wheel racing and the street car has proven to be the best vehicle to achieve that.
