Hi Guys,

Anyone know where I can find a Thrustmaster T500 RS? Looking for purchase one immediately. Can't find them anywhere online.

Thanks
Joe

Joey, try these guys. The price is great and I just called the toll-free number and verified that they have one in stock. They also said if you placed the order today, it would ship out today. 👍

Btw, good luck in the finals! We'll be cheering for you! :gtpflag:

Hey guys, can anyone find another option for Joey to go after? Turns out that the company above has some poor reviews. I'm sure we can put our heads together and find a place that has this thing in stock and has a stellar reputation to boot.

My take on complaints and penalties. It's definitely a case by case basis and depends on the people who made contact.

(Owens I hope you don't mind me using your name in the example...)

Example, we all know Owens is a super clean racer and we all try to race him as well as others with the utmost respect and as cleanly as possible. If by chance Owens and I make contact and it knocks me out of a race, I know it wasn't on purpose. I know he didn't mean to do it and he always stops to give the position back or apologizes. In that case I would NOT submit a race complaint. For what?? A little contact? For an accident? It's pointless. It's not like he has a history of over aggressive driving that makes me think he needs his wrist slapped to calm him down a little. With that comes a mutual respect. On the other side of the coin, the following week you may make the exact same mistake. Slight unintentional contact taking him out. You think he'll file a complaint?

Now if you have an over aggressive driver that is ALWAYS ramming, slamming and bamming people off the track then yes. File a race complaint.

Which leads me to my final point...the "random replay audits." I'll start by saying whoever will be conducting them will definitely be spending a lot of time asking D1 drivers why didn't they file a complaint. I can only speak for the division I'm in and have spent the most time in and that's D1. There's a mutual respect that we race each other REALLY hard and aggressive but as clean as possible at the same time. I know those are the golden rules in every division, but if someone in D1 accidentally bumps you a few times or mistakenly takes you out because of a bad move, you don't get all butt hurt about it because you know it wasn't on purpose. Apologize/give the spot back and move on to the next race.

I will adopt this myself and refraine from reporting also but more so I don't receive the penellty instead. LOL

Garage father,

Think of it as watching a game where the referee never calls a penalty. Sure things start out following the rules, at least sort of following them. The game will eventually degenerate.

People start to have a grudge against someone else for something that has previously happened. And not reported. A policy of Omertà begins to develop.

Then we get a new racer, someone who has not been in our league before. They may arrive expecting clean racing. If it is simply a matter of not reporting something ever... SNAIL may not live up to the new arrival's expectation of truly (trying to be) clean racing. When, or if, things become win at all costs then inconvenient things - like rules - go downhill quickly.

This is not pointed at anyone in particular. And yes, some complaints, even some of mine, should not have to be filed. But I would rather deal with the occasional influx of too many complaints than the fallout of nobody ever filing anything. That strikes me as a perilous path for us to take as a group.

I just placed the order over the phone with them. Order processed. Thank you Zero. I owe you one bro.

No problem at all, Joey. However, don't thank me until it arrives at your doorstep! I'm all of a sudden feeling very nervous that I referred you to a whack company, but my fingers are crossed. :nervous:

Hopefully all goes well and it's a smooth transaction though. Be sure to stay on top of them and ask for updates on your order etc. The reviews said they had very poor communication, so you might want to help them communicate, if you know what I mean. :sly:

I hear you brother. I'll be sure to post when I get it...and I will call them for a tracking and shipping info.

The purpose of the random reviews is to have a look at what type of racing is really going on by watching full races instead of the small bits that the stewards see when reviewing a race incident. It is not to point out every incident of any contact that occurs between two guys that are racing hard. It is to point out the guy that comes from three car lengths back entering a hairpin, uses the ahead driver as a guardrail, and continues on as if nothing happened. If something like that is observed, both drivers would get a PM. The divebombing driver would get one reminding him of the OLR and letting them know that was not a legal maneuver. The driver that got used as the guardrail would get a PM reminding them of the complaint procedure and letting them know that was not a legal move and asking why they didn't file a complaint about it.

I'm not looking for the little stuff. I'm looking for the obvious that should have been reported but for some reason wasn't. I want to find out why incidents are not being reported, which is allowing some questionable racing, which is causing drivers to join, race one week, and leave because they see the racing as dirty.

I want to know why drivers don't file complaints when they are obviously the victim of someone else's poor racecraft.

Understood Bowler. So the main issue here is poor racecraft vs unintentional contact that is forgiven because they know the other racer is a clean racer.

EDIT: Unintentional contact can sometimes be a pretty solid hit too. Don't just think of it as a bump entering the corner or a tap on the door from time to time.

Maybe because they are afraid to get a payback for a error the weeks after. But a complaint, its the way we can be respected and the tolerance about each others isn't good for the quality of the racing. I will give you a exemple " how much times we get slowed by some racers who are impatients to pass and failed the pass for finish in battle scrapped all the backyard ( 7" to 16" positions most of the time) we got reverse grid every combo and its the way to got a fair competition. I don't think we need more than that, Its not about your best hot lap or your skills in that fact but the way you can keeping the Division healthy. We got a chance to race in a league of a game, so its more serious than it suppose to be. If you race any events without thinking of be the best racers of the night but to be the gentlemen's of the night you'll be more happy because you will feel like you did something for the league. For me the best racer is the racer who let others a chance to race whatever if he's a Alien, a Monster, or a guy with a big mustache. I didn't mean to give the way or give a place but to working more carefully with all the advantages the league give to us. We here for a serious competition that won't never stop ( I hope ) and the Veterans got to show how this league is about. We also got lucky to get sponsors when some others leagues begging for touching a sponsor. Think about that guys when you insert GT5 in the ps3 and for the new guys in the league I got a word for you, help the league and be a part of the family and you'll enjoying why is the best league in the world. By this message I don't want to flattering the league because I know i'm not appreciated to the bone in the league. I'm just myself and that reflect how I care about anything I do that I love. I'm always shy to express myself in another language but I got the courage to do and I hope I doing well. (= (= (=

You will want the Ferrari GTE wheel man.

Fixed paddles blow. Instant gain in speed going back to rotating paddles for me.

Highly recommend it and the Bodin Load cell.

Do these before TH8. ;)

Set your FFB to 3-5. If you used a G27 the T500 will be about 2 below whatever you used there to get the same feel just more precise from the T500.

Also the degree of rotation setting is sweet.

Mode Button(bottom left side of base) and direction pad left or right. The Mode light will flash to indicate the rotation degrees

Right is up in degrees
Left is down in degrees

5 flashes = 1080
4 flashes = 900 (what I use and love)
3 flashes = 720
2 flashes = 540
1 flash = 360

This can be done at anytime in game and retains itself. Even after you shut down and start up the next day. I always check to ensure but it has held the same 4 flashes.

Prepare to be in love!

Glad we g27 users finally figured the rotation change. We don't get the flashy lights or keep the setting after calibration/recalibration. But I would probably hit it every time anyway.

DrGreenthumbs,

You are selling yourself short. We do appreciate you and know you care deeply about what is important to you. Keep it up!

👍

Martin, crossing my fingers, man!

Please pardon "The Old Timer", but I don't understand.
I use a G-27 and have no idea where the Mode button is, or ........ anything else that was said above.

Just like the Replay Upload/Download catastrophe known as TEX, I have a feeling I'll get the wheel working backwards if I touch/adjust anything.

Anyone interested in a class for Senior Citizens ...... as Lombardi said, "This is a PlayStation" ... well, not exactly - but you get the point?

Exactly. I'm not out looking for the borderline. I'm looking for the blatant violations of the SNAIL OLR. Divebombing, pushing through a pack of cars, shoving an ahead car out of your way, shortcutting, driving through ghosted cars to pass, and unsafe re-entry to the track after an accident. These are the type of things that will catch my attention and garner you a PM from me after a review.

PM"s for this week have been sent. If you were up for review and didn't get a PM, congratulations, you ran a clean race. Keep up the good work.

I like racing with all division because the gents are everywhere and fast racer, just need to look around and think about the best moments we had in this league. This league made me a better driver in the future for the real life and prepared for GT6 . crossing my fingers for Martin 👍

Tex. You press the "start" and "select" buttons together. they are the two red ones. Then press one of the "action" buttons abov e the d-pad, the ones that would correspond with X, O, triangle and square. All on the shifter. I press all three at the same time, but I believe dragon said you can press start-select and then one of the action buttons.
No worries if you get it driving backwards, a, rad, you found a new function, and b, all you need do is unplug the wheel from the ps3 and plug it back in.

During qualifying in practice last night I got a 1:39.0 (no draft), but that was (1) with DS3 and (2) without breaking it in (but with oil change). During the race with the draft my best times were in mid-low 1:38s.

I know the D1 guys were running in the 1:37s, but I'm not too worried about that

Anybody knows if Martin made it to the GTA national finals? The #46 made it and Martin is #47.

No email

Martin, crossing my fingers, man!

Yeah me too. It would suck to be the first one not to get in

Wow, just looking at the final rankings and see that #46 finished just 1/1000 of a second in front of you. On top of that, his time was posted in the final hours of the hours of the competition! Really hoping you get that email, martin. I know the rules are set, but it'd just feel wrong to make the cut at such a miniscule difference. My fingers, toes, arms, and legs are crossed for you brother! :)
