Okay, with this episode of "As the SNAIL World Turns" over with (I hope), I would like to reintroduce my idea. Tonight I will not be streaming the races. Instead I will be recording them live. So starting when the room is reset for the first round of qualifying, I will start recording, and end/start recording somewhere inbetween races. Through the rest of the week I will go around and promote the feed and try streaming again next week. With that said, has anyone made a SNAIL youtube channel? If not, I will be setting one up this evening.

I believe someone made a channel, it has a few races from D4 on it.

Hey S.N.A.I.L.s,

I've just started up a new thread called S.N.A.I.L. Weekly Kart Racing.

We'll be running on Tuesday nights at 9:00 P.M. Eastern time in the SNAIL_Division2 lounge. Feel free to join in for one, two, three or all the races.

I hope we can get a bunch of people out, the Karts are a blast to race and will help you learn techniques for being a faster racer. Don't discount what you can learn from these things, some of the worlds best drivers learned their craft in Karts. To name a few, Lewis Hamilton, Ayrton Senna, Jeff Gordon and Tony Stewart.

Hopefully we'll see you on track this Tuesday 👍

Should my kart need more than 150-200 miles to break in? I ran for 75 last week during the races. 👍

As far as I know 200 miles will break it in, like most other cars in GT5. What numbers are you at? I can check mine shortly.

Should probably have those numbers in the new thread too.

EDIT: I updated the Kartvthread with my numbers, the Junior Kart doesn't have enough miles on it to be broken in fully.

Soooo, that G4. Probably my absolute most LOVED car we have raced! Ok, excluding the two Rx-7s. This car just hangs that back end out all day! this thing is great!
Yeah, for sure I like this car, wow is it fun. It would be great at the ring. Both Autumn Ring for league and the Nurburgring for fun. Sports hard is perfect for this car too. Its so well balanced and neutral steers very well. Going to be a fun first round.
That beast of a ford on the other hand. Slow is smooth with that thing! Don't hurry that guy, cause its not going to rush around a corner. Definitely a "squeeze the throttle" type of car. I think this car would actually be better on sports soft. As tire wear would be a bit longer, and I thinking neutral steer would be much easier to achieve.
Going to be a fun night folks. Remember to keep it a slower with this trans-cammer. And be on your toes around a pack. no doubt there are going to be a few people going round, no doubt myself included in that list. Should be some fun racing though.

Real quick, I'd like to show off the mod I mad to my rig today. Added the seat, no more sitting straight up on a old uncomfy chair for me! This is a prototype though, just to get measurements and placements right. A rough, rough draft.
