I have a question for those of you who have a DFGT wheel.

This is the first wheel I have used, I got it used, and I am not sure if it is supposed to act like this.
1. If I am driving in a straight line and take my hand off the wheel the force feedback makes the car start to sway left and right, back and forth. It gets worse the longer I let it go until it spins out. Is that normal?
2. I also notice that it is harder (than a controller) to correct a mistake when I break traction in a corner. Again the force feedback seems to fight against my attempts to catch myself. Is that normal?

It is getting easier, by I am not sure if this is normal

You can eliminate most of that wobble by setting a soft lock. Here is a how to on that. It says the lowest setting is 670°, but I think it's actually closer to 860° on the DFGT. This setting has greatly increased my consistency and removed almost all the dead space at wheel neutral. I use ffb 10. There will still be some wobble going down a straight with no hands on the wheel, but it is greatly reduced.

Yes it is normal, try force feedback setting of 6. I have one also, if you are using steering assist turn it off. Do you use active steering when playing career? If so it will fight back with the feedback making the car lose traction and harder to correct. Good settings that work for me are 6 force feedback, power assist steering off, and steering sensitivity -2. Hope this helps, any questions let me know through PM.

The sensitivity setting does nothing on wheels.

It should put the results together now. Strange thing is it isn't picking up Prize C, you'll have to manually enter it. Everything else looks correct.

EDIT: Fixed it
Thanks!

PLEASE NOTE: The result post has been completed and it listed on the TOTPP!

I can't get into the results doc. Says I need permission?

Because you're trying to look at the old Results doc, the new one can be found here.

I've been getting quite a few requests to share the old Results doc  To reiterate, the Google spreadsheets were upgraded to the new version, Google Sheets, in the hopes their promises will come to fruition, better performance, increased limitations specifically. This would have happened over time anyway, but given some of the demands placed on the spreadsheets, I thought it best to upgrade what we can now.

If you are trying to view a S.N.A.I.L. public document and you don't have permission, you're likely looking at an old version.

The edit permissions for the new Director and Results docs was transferred from the old documents. Anyone that could edit the old documents should be able to edit the new documents. If you are a scorekeeper or data specialist and can't access the document you need, let me know and I'll get it sorted out.

So I received a pm with the division I'm in, but that's it. Wasn't I to receive an invite from someone? It looks like the you guys have been busy with the results, so I understand if that's the delay. Just want to make sure I get to race Sunday! :)

You will get one before sunday. By saturday if you havent, id take it upon yourself to send fr to your division host, look it up via offcial driver list on op.

If you know your division you can look at the drivers list to see who is in your division. You should send a friend request to at least the host and backup hosts. If the host/backups aren't labeled in your division there, the Team snail tab of the results doc has the info as well.

Shoot! Second week in a row I get one upped by @ParkerMO125... I'll have to see how close we were this time! This months points are looking quite interesting halfway through. Kinda reminds me of a Hunt/Lauda battle!

Edit: Just checked the score sheet... One friggin' point! Can't get much closer than that my friend!

That's all thanks time lol if I hadn't gotten exploded or lag bombed at race one maybe I would of been within the to three also :P

lol i saw that..thankfully we both did rather poorly (for my liking) this week. Barely holding on to the lead now by 11 points, for now.

Quick reminder that @CarCzar announced that he was going to be out this week and may not be checking GTP. Does anyone have a way to contact him? or should this go to voting?

I think that if he's gonna be gone and most likely won't be on GT Planet much as he stated then that should forfeit his prize because we will end up waiting on a last minute decision like it was last week almost 9PM EST before we had an official pick that was the Fiat 500 Abarth. It doesn't give enough people a chance especially in that situation and with today already being Tuesday. We should atleast have to prepare our picks and ready to name them by now later than 5PM Thursday for everyone. In others words if you drop him out, move me up to prize B and select the person who was lower than me and give them prize C. That's about the only fair way that I see it and that way hopefully we won't have to wait so long. What do you guys think?

When this happens usually the way to go is by voting but it is up to @JLBowler to make the technical ruling.

Yea I didn't think bout that til you just mentioned it, but either way works. I was just thinking of a way to make it even that way there still is a prize B and C. But I like your idea better 👍
