Like my old bike but not my pic. I had the 87 Magna VF700. Took a very long straight but I got it up to 145 mph before common sense kicked in. I miss my bike...
Top speed on that bike was right at 123mph. Even the speedo only went to an indicated 125mph.

I noticed there was no division to backup post. I volunteer my Hosting services. My "net stats" aren't the best but I have hosted on several occasions witout glitches. Plus we have cake and/or cookies in our room.;)
Director however would require another volunteer.

Addendum:
Just got finished with a little practice and I can say that for the first time in a long time, I am not looking forward to Sunday night. I'll just ride around and see what positions others will let me have.

Mistake free is probably worth 2 spots +-1.

Any thoughts on Tony Stewart? Watching YouTube and reading comments and a whole bunch of people think he did it intentionally.. However, I don't see a fishtail until after impact.. Not linking any videos here since it's somewhat graphic.

That 20 year old was an idiot to be out in the middle of the track on a dimly lit track. after seeing the videos I believe that Tony gunned the throttle made the car fishtail and hit the racer. I don't believe that the hit was intentional.

Starts at noon.

Ah ok on slight delay to avoid dead time between classes. GP class should be live at 2pm EST. Moto2 at 1pm, and moto3 at noon.

I won't spoil anything, but the moto3 race was epic as always, so turn it on at like 12:40 if you don't have a lot of free time.

They have photo finishes pretty much every race, if you've never seen it. It's as if someone found 20 guys that can all run within 2 tenths of each other.... It's like restrictor plate racing but on a road course. Reminds me of SNAIL. :-D

A sad day for all involved! A mental lapse in judgement by both drivers.

Looking forward to racing tonight. I'm not looking forward to Combo #2, but otherwise it's not so bad. I'm in love with racing cars so Combo #3 is my favorite of course.

So sad. Make you realize how fragile life is whether it was intentional or not. Regardless of intent if Ward had just stayed calm he would still be alive. We can all let our emotions get the better of us when we are competing and feel we have been wronged.

My prayers go out to Ward's friends and family.

I just added you as D3 back-up host. You are now part of 'Team Snail'

You would have to also direct the room as the host is the only one that can change the room settings.

So you think the fishtail is what caused the contact, but was just coincidental (and not intentional)?

I agree that it's sad, but I don't know if it was a mental lapse by both drivers. I think it was clearly a mental lapse by Kevin Ward Jr., and he's dead because of it. But if it was a mental lapse by Tony Stewart, then he's guilty of, well, killing someone.

Well said. I wouldn't be surprised if these results in some serious rules/fines/penalties for drivers who get out of their car and try to confront another driver still on the track. It happens all the time, but this is the worst result that I know of.

In my opinion, Stewart tried a "go **** yourself" move towards the other racer and it just went terribly wrong.

Wow, can't believe that happened. So sad.

My car is French Racing Blue, the awesome cool blue that comes with the Jaguar XKR-S. What colors for the rims would match up well with that? So far I've been using black for street cars and a silver or default alloy metal for race cars. Maybe some funky green or orange?

I watched the video and...well...I think Tony tried to get as close to him as he could to scare him and failed. He wanted to show that kid "that you don't mess around with Jim (Tony)" and tried to do a flyby to scare the **** out of him and failed miserably.

My opinion.

Also, why were they driving at night if it's not lit enough to see a driver on track and why was the driver in all dark clothing? IF they race at night, some reflector patches must be added to the suits. You never know what can happen and you want the drivers to be easily recognizable.

Wow!! That was quick! LOL. Thank you.....I think!?

My opinion is that he put the gas on a little too soon and slid into the guy, he's an experienced racer and could see the stricken buggy on the side. He made a little error, it happens to everyone in racing. I seriously doubt he did it intentionally. If it was intentional, I think he would've just kept going straight and not even turn for the corner.

Or teach him rule #1: NEVER get out of the car while on the trach.

The Tony Stewart thing that happened last night was not intentional at all. The Ward guy should have never gotten so close to the middle of the track in my opinion. Once you walk from your car before any emergency vehicles have reached you, you are putting your life at risk and that's what Ward did unfortunately.

That was weird...:boggled:

I don't think he meant to kill him. I do think he meant to scare him...and made a mistake.

Lots of drivers disobey the "get out of the car rule" all the way to the upper echelon of drivers...in every race series. You can see it in almost every 5th race in NASCAR, you even see it in F1. People get pissed when they feel wronged on the track. Many drivers have hot tempers...the greats even more so.

Lots of factors led to this...but people getting out their car to yell at another driver is pretty commonplace...getting run over while doing it is not.

The authorities are apparently asking for footage from any fans that were there. From the limited footage already available, I don't see Tony's line changing towards Kevin Ward Jr (but obviously not away from him either). I'm also of the opinion that the fishtail was caused by the impact and not by an intentional stomp of the gas by Stewart. Hopefully better footage will make things more clear, but it's a tragedy regardless.

My opinions as well. Trying to scare Ward was the mental lapse in judgement, and yes, he would be guilty!

Wow I just watched the video of te Tony Stewart/Kevin Ward Jr. video...very disturbing. I really am not 100% sure what to make of it.

It was incredibly reckless for Ward to go out in the middle of track like that but I'm not sure how to fully interpret Stewarts actions. I really would like to think that he simply didn't see him until too late or that he lost control of the car, but seeing as Stewart is a world class driver who has been doing this for many years, I find it a little hard to believe. It's just a very disturbing and sad incident.
