@JLBowler Can we please get clarification on track boundaries @ Roma. Specifically on the outside of the last 2 corners, there is a large green area outside of the curb, that will likely see drivers hit when they missing their braking zone. It could be used to lineup a faster line up the front straight.

The other area, though not as important, and unlikely to see a problem, is the outside of the left hander at the end of sector 1. There are green painted bricks that are outside the curb, but cars running side by side could find themselves in that area without hitting the wall. Again, unlikely, but I'm just trying to cover all the bases :P

I'm waiting until the other track is chosen so I can do them both at the same time and update the post with track boundaries but green painted stuff out past the white line or rumble strips is almost never considered part of the track. A full description will be coming once Prize A is hammered out.

Gran turismo.com has a community link. You can access the GT6 forum and most of the new features on a PC.

The community website is connected to the in game feature, so once we get SNAIL setup in there, we should have another method to manage and review our events.

Seems pretty straightforward, striped curbs are part of the track, green painted surface is not. Right?

I have the same issue with those two tracks. For the record, we've never run it at Deep Forest either. Daytona Road, Grand Valley, Grand ey East, Autumn Ring Reverse, and Suzuka.

are you sure? I remember.. last time I saw Zero race.

I will be home and testing my suggestion in an hour or so.

I have a few ideas that I'll likely come back to (my usual box of suggestions).

Thanks! Just deleted GT5 after saving the profile. Had not done it just becuase of nostalgic reasons.

right after that I got hit with a new GT6 update; i have not a new icon 'community' but did not let me see what it is... server undergoing maintenance.. Finally!

@GamingPete here are some PIX to play around for the banners.

Great pix but...please post as thumbnails...those checking in on phones have a hell of a time waiting for downloads if they live in the outback somewhere. Like ME.

I'd definitely join in on a Touring Car Tuesday event; the Wednesday RCS is awesome, and I think @brntguy is right about TCT pinching a bit of that same sunshine.

I'd also like to do more Oval races like the ones @JLBowler has run. @goofytyler and I were racing in Grid:Autosport earlier tonight on a tri-oval-ish track and it was a ton of fun; I think I even mentioned that I'd like to do another Bowler oval event while we were racing.

Since I'm wish-listing, I'd also like to do some races on the course I created in GT5 (the Mt Aso template) and that Welsh jump track. And karts too, and I like the idea of keeping them stock as someone else said earlier in this discussion.

Perhaps Tuesday could rotate through several different concepts, either week to week or month to month, or whatever. I'd like to do another Concourse Car Club, and I could do so in a Tuesday slot if desired. But I don't think that's a sustainable series - the price of the concourse-class cars are too damn high!
Me too but...keep it down in pp and power so new guys can drive and learn. Wednesday has the full power end covered and Pack Monday has low power covered....somewhere between the two...the same difference as between GT500 and GT300. IMHO.

Why rob those that want the full experience?

You can configure your phone to your own needs (not the other way around).

And use that quote button.

I was messing around yesterday in the S2000 Type V '03 (a much different driving car than the premium S2000) at Deep Forest Reverse and Motegi Full....good combos.

Also, thinking like @Wolfsatz , Madrid Full (either direction) hasn't been run in forever and is a ton of fun in a small car. Maybe something like the 395pp Elise '11.

Living vicariously btw...

It's a bit frustrating on PC as well, when you refresh the page to check for a new reply, but 40 images have to load first. I agree with the thumbnail, because we can click on them and look if we want to. Besides, it would be better to post maybe your 6-8 favorites, then give us a link to the rest if we want to see the rest. Quality, not quantity.

Zero original points! :boggled:
Not good. The guy won and can pick what he wants. Even if a combo is voted off, the winner can bring it right back if he wants.........because, he won. Not everyone gets to race the combos they want, gotta win first. Win-pick....lose-deal with it without drama. Never seen a combo where someone didn't complain.

Not quite correct. Copy/pasted from the results post, the Prize A instructions:

The round that received the most elimination votes was:
Round 1 - Subaru Impreza Sedan WRX STI Version (Type-I) '00 (Sport Medium tires) at Special Stage Route 5 - Forward (7 laps)
Therefore the entire combo has been dropped from next week's line-up. Since @@DMacs13 wins Prize A, they get to choose an entirely new car and track combo to replace it.

Entirely new car and track combo to replace it would mean that the Prize A winner would not be allowed to bring the voted off combo right back.

Ok so I should think of something else? Can I keep the track though?

I think Bowler was referring to the fact that you can't suggest the combo that is being eliminated. It does say "entirely" new car and track combo, so I assume that means new car AND a new track.

One suggestion is allowed. Stick to the one you made. I'm recording them as they are made and any changes or multiple suggestions from the same person would invalidate any suggestions you have made.

Aside from that, the car usually produces close racing and we haven't ever used it at that track. It is better than a few recent choices.

Awesome. Thank you. I will proceed to take pictures and work on a better lap time.
