Thanks @Rednose58 for getting the combo info!

So who's going to be the first to have their Zonda end up like this one? :scared:

LOL there's a huge difference between -36 and feels like -43 with the wind chill! Especially when your waiting for a bus!

I can't imagine it would be much different than the difference between 108 and 115. They're both to hot to be outside and once it's too hot to be outside, it's just a number.

At that point, they're the same feel: "too hot". But for scientific purposes, one must say that things can happen at 115 that won't happen at 108 because it's not hot enough or vice versa for being too hot at 115 and working at 108. Science!

Yeah I've experienced minus 50 with and with out wind chill they both suck but the wind makes it hurt.

Same as there is a HUGE difference between with and without moisture in the air (aka the prairies vs Ontario) and I would say the prairies with there bitter cold was easier then Ontario at -36 with our "wet" ( what the locals called Ontario's wind) air!

But as for the similarities between being in the extreme hot vs extreme cold is like the difference between standing in the sun vs in the shade yeah they still both suck but one's just totally crazy!

That's the funny part that a lot of people have difficulties in believe @STEAMER62 , at least here in the Toronto area we get almost -40c in the winter and +40 in the summer.
They say the big lakes have a big influence in our strange and hard to predict weather.
lol @Schmiggz so I presume that you guys must have a huge closet to have the appropriate clothing for around 80°C, mean -40 to +40 ° C :rolleyes:

Does it really make a difference between -36 and feels like -43? It should just say "Too cold to even matter."

On a semi-related note, can anyone explain why celcius and fahrenheit temperatures are equal at -40 degrees? Other than explaining the forumla. I mean really? If it's 32 F, then that's 0 C, or 98.6 F is 37 C, but -40 F is -40 C. Makes no sense at all. What a dumb formula!
Seems stupid but it's just simply two measurement scales and that's where the lines intersect. No real significance

I hadn't realised, until last night, that the Quick Match races offered such rich payouts. A minimum of 258,000 earned for winning a less than 2 and a half minute race around Silverstone National in a GT86/FR-S/BRZ put a smile on the face!
Lol. I've been running a few races a night at Silverstone in the FR-S. I'm already at 43mil. Lol. It's relatively easy too. Most of them are slow n dirty. Just dodge their bombs or criss cross pass them in turns. It's funny actually. They go wide in turns, try to bump, push you thru turns, etc and all it takes is a bit of concentration driving the snail way and you will work thru a field of 8-10for the win...in 2laps!!!

Farhenheit is just an outdated formula. It was created based on the coldest temperature he experienced, and what he thought was normal body temperature. Celsius at least works with metric measurements in ways that still allows it to be rounded. Celsius is a very simple measurement. That's why 95% of countries use it.

The metric system. Should be universal. We're the youngest country yet using an outdated, complex system...go figure.
Is that a 5/8 or 11/16 nut? Really!?!?

A strange thing is that I managed a best lap of 1:08.9** a few times. That's not far off D1 fast lap times in the GT86 race car this weekend and it shouldn't be possible in the road car.

No need to even "race". If you hit the track for warm-up ASAP, and have good pace you can start near the front every time. I did that about 10 times last night. Pole to win. Easy peazy.

It's not the same. Every time I've run a sub-9 second lap I've crossed the line to start at 102 mph. In the QM, I'm easily over that even if I don't get off the last turn perfectly. The gearing is very different. I can tell by where I'm at on track when shifting.

The imperial system works fine if you don't need exact measurements as an example construction where a 2X4 (1 3/4" by 2 1/2) needs to be cut to 72" or 182.88cm

@Falango , as simple as follows lol:
Celsius vs Fahrenheit: °F = °C × 1,8 + 32

Quick match It's an interesting tool to practice dodging and evasive moves... And make tons of money. Too bad it freezes most of the times.

Tom is in Rochester too? I will probably be at the SCCA National Tour in Devens, MA that weekend. I'd be curious to know if they let everyone drive the cars with the electronic nannies off though. They didn't even let us autox with the nannies off at Silverstone :banghead:, well unless of course the car had no nannies .

They aren't going to let you drive the car at 'competition speeds' and I would expect all aids to be 'on' as the events are media displays to boost sales. This isn't the Rev It Up tour, it's mommies and daddies sizing up child seat fitments, rearview cameras, lane departure warning systems and automatic parking features. I would just go to Devens. Better beer selection, too, unofficially speaking.

Remember three road car is 413ish PP. I hit 09.2 on a consistent basis with 08.9 my best.

I know the formula to convert is simple, but the formula for each individually is very different. One actually has inaccuracies, the other is based on solid, constant proof. It was thought that 100 degrees F was normal body temperature, which wasn't right, lol. which is easier to remember? Water freezes at 0, boils at 100, or freezes at 32, boils at about 212. Imperial measurements are the same. 12 inches is a foot, so why isn't 12 feet a yard? Metric uses prefixes that match their numerical value too.

Metric is a base 10 numeric syste. The imperial system is based on body parts.
Edit: :dopey: thought I better add that in order too not offend anyone

It makes me wonder how many times what should be such simple measurements messed up something that turned out to be very important in history. What if someone accidentally multipled the wrong number to figure out how fast and what angle Apollo 11 should approach the moon. Multiples of 10 ftw! :P

Don't forget the race car has down force slowing it down most of the time. With it already being really low on power, the down force really only helps your time in turn 1. On all the straights the non downforce car with have the advantage.

The Zonda combo looks great:tup:

Ran in a room last night and it was actually a good drive. In the first few laps, it's hard to understand what the car wants to naturally do. Once you're closer to racing speed and on the edge, it's quite predictable. Don't miss your braking zone though. The car pushes badly under braking, and the unforgiving track won't be nice!
