As my close out to TBT, here is a couple of photographs, taken long before digital cameras were being developed but reproduced digitally with an affordable scanner called
Image Box Plus. My HP ScanJet 3500 couldn't reproduce them any better.
This was my bike in the summer of 1982, about a month after purchasing new from the dealer, and a month or so before my epic ride through 9 states, and almost a year from her death on a freeway in Los Angeles. Yes, I cried just a little when Suzi died.
15 or so years later, after falling for the wife and kids thing, Zuk and I got to know each other. He crouches about 30 feet from me, at this very moment, waiting for a new power source, and fully ready to add more to his current count of just a bit over 36K original owner miles. First year this model was imported to the US. I waited 15 years for Suzuki to build it and if I have my way, I will be buried with it.
'97 Bandit 1200S, Case Guards w/highway pegs I never use, Corbin Gunfighter and Lady seat, replacement wheels (not in picture) after running over a 2" diameter piece of branch that bent both, had them painted to more closely match the bike color. It's horribly dirty in this pic.
