That 5 minutes is what it takes for 6 replays, not 1. Pretty sure the USB stick I'm using is 2.0 at least.

I don't even remember if there have been USB 1.0 flash drives for sale in years, or if they even really existed, so I'd assume it's a 2.0. Even if you had a 3.0 USB, the PS3 is 2.0, so it would transfer at 2.0 speeds.

Oh, I'm certain I have several USB1.0 sticks. I'll get some pics when I get home later today and post 'em up.

Until Ferrari messes up another year hahaha

I think they'll be much better this season. Kimi says the car is already better than last years, even after the first test. Kimi doesn't mess around :P

I bet they're like cell phones from the 80s. Massive things you have to haul around in the back of a truck, and they only carry 256k :P

Just a side note, writing to a USB flash drive is generally not limited by the USB speed (1.0 vs 2.0 etc). The process of writing to flash memory can be very slow compared to standard volatile memory because you are ripping electrons through an oxide (this is why it can hold state with no power). Reading from a flash drive is very different and quite fast, and generally is limited by USB speeds. I have several flash drives that can take forever to write a simple 500k game save to, and others where it happens instantly. The speed has to do with age and technology of the memory etc.

Yeah, leave Kimi alone... he knows what he's doing

INTENSE!!! That describes the first 2 combos (all 4 races) last night. Wooowww! I would like to thank and commend @Grandpa Money @USERID_77a23 @Rednose58 @turnupdaheat @serge19 and @chevron for some spectacular, door-to-door, exemplary racecraft, respectful, intense racing last night!!! We were in battles from turn to turn and sometimes for an entire lap...... or 3!!! One race had a 3-car finish down to the thousandths of a second between all three cars (the 86)!! Holding lines, respecting lines, give and take, clean, hard nosed racing!!! These would be worth watching with a bowl of popcorn and a Mt. Dew :D

We won't talk about combo 3
:yuck::yuck::yuck:.

.

10 drivers in the room. I think the 4 point spread between 4th and 10th place AND only 13 point spread from 1st to 10th says it all....

Nice. I shall download.

Hey guys, not sure if this is the place to post this question but was wondering if snail does any sort of drift league or if anyone is interested in trying to get together and do something like that.

Sounds like a great idea … up north here in VT we have a snow drift league. We run tight spec on the width of the snow shovel but other than that anything goes. … Please excuse my jest … after a week of practicing for SNAIL Spec races … on Mondays I have a few cocktails ;)

Not really all that different in physical size, much different in performance and capacity.

A is only about 2 years old and is at least USB2.0 at 16GB. B is probably about 7 years old and is undoubtedly one version or another of 1.0 at 2GB. C is over 10 years old and most likely the lowest form of USB1.0 at 128MB.

All 3 have been used to store GT saved files and replays. The older ones with GT5 and the newest, 16GB stick has been used for both. The 2 older ones used to take over 3 hours to write the GT5 save data file to. 6 replay files? Minimum of 45 minutes.

I have 3 of A and had 1 of C hahaha. I've got loads of flash drives around because of school. 3 external hard drives too. Almost full on those too. 11tb of storage doesn't seem to be enough :P

OK so I've got money to buy a wheel stand
1) is there a retailer in ontario that sells them
2) If I buy a grand stand (CA) is it better to get it shipped to the border and pick it up from state side or directly to my house
3) How tight does the grand stand pack up (as I leave my wheel attached to my folded coffee tray)
4) Whats the opinion on the other brands out there?

About combo 3, some would say subies are happier off-road ;)

Does it matter how the thumb drive is formatted ... fat32, NTFS, etc?
