The update this morning has deemed all club events (time trials) to be unavailable. Plus, the course description for the time trails are in hieroglyphics.

#TBT as promised, "My First Rig"
1 part excersize bike, 1 part office chair

Actually worked really well, even folded in half for storage, ha!

I called that the "Wife mode"...:sly: :D

I know exactly what you mean... My setup doesn't fold as conveniently, but it also has a Wife Mode. Although she still can't forgive me for having a black chair with a dark brown table. The colour coordination is all wrong...

If midfield doesn't have any issues with online usage it would be fun to move our GT3 SLS over to it for the next set of combos.

I had a go on Midfield late last night, and it was good fun! It was everything I remembered! Fast cars go a bit light over that crest on to the straight, and I still hate that sudden dip in the middle of the tunnel as you cross over the straight :P

Nuno it doesn't look like it was too easy to get in and out of that rig. Did you have to climb over into it like a carbon monocoque? :P

Pretty much! Originally I was going to have the PVC section tilt away with some quick release type of mechanism, but that got too complicated and was getting in the way of actually racing!

Just getting to drive it now and what's everyone so lovey dovey over? It's so un-thought out. Sure there is elevation change which feels nice but the turn types. Three of the same thing, that high speed chicane business. Two double apexes, one at the start and one going into the tunnel. Not very creative. I like the last section coming back to the straight though. I'm still waiting for a track like Watkins Glen or Watkins Glen itself.

It's a simple layout, but still a technical track. The braking point and approach for the hairpin is very tough, because of the kink. The long left hander before it is tough because even though it's banked, it's downhill, so on the throttle, the car will push wide quickly. I think it's a fun challenge, and it obviously caters more towards the old school GT fans.

I can see what you're saying. For the hairpin I've been dabbing the brakes slowing it down and then hard on right before turn-in. And stay in 3rd to avoid wheel spin. I was testing with GT300 and GT500.

It looks beautiful though. When was the last track added into the game? Let's see how long this takes and about when we might expect to see another classic addition.

I hope to see it in SNAIL as soon as possible so we all get some racing on there with different styles. Whether it be Sunday, GGG's racing car series', the Saturday night Enduro or anything in between, it's always more fun when you're racing.

Running a B Spec At my own Pace race to see if it can be trusted to Make Money while I do something else.

Edit: Yup...left setting at "my own pace" and it won a race at Motegi in International Series...made 86K while I was doing Honey Do's.

Trying a GT300 race now.

I tried the GT3 series at Spa and it just wouldn't load. I'll try again later. If it works, might as well use it for the 'Ring 24 minute race in Super. Makes the most money for a single event but takes awhile. More than the Red Bull races. But now that we don't have to do the actual racing it's worth it.

We can paint custom wings now. Lol gotta paint my drift cars now

Yep, I've already painted my American Iron cars' wings. :)

and what's everyone so lovey dovey over?

Nostalgia. I keenly recall spending MANY attempts to win a race at that track in a Miata without any add-ons. That late night was the birthdate of my passion for racing... Nearly 12 or 13 years ago

I'm trying the Rocket car at Willow Springs in the 20 mile race. Will report results when it's finished.

Rocket Car at Willow Springs 20 mile race. Set the car to 650PP. Set pace to "Push the Pace". The race takes just over 11 minutes and Bob won by just over 12 seconds. Pay out is 274K with the full bonus. No need to pit for tires or fuel. Just set it and forget it.

"My Pace" resulted in a second place finish.

Same here. This is the first track I hit when I was finally able to purchase and drive the formula GT for the first time.

Just like Seattle and El Capitan; the tracks may not be feasible or realistic, but they are fun and have heavy nostalgia...

Set to push it hard, Bob won by more than 50 seconds, lapping everyone from 5th on down.
Tires held up well and in the last lap, it was still going 3 sec better than 2nd place.
Easy money. Maybe he'll keep his drive after all...
