Somebody give @DesertPenguin09 a cookie. I wonder if @zer05ive has a jar of those? You know.. for those days when @Dragonwhisky writes an elaborate story about the clubs history, or when @JLBowler has to assign a dozen new members in one week along with timely greeting and direction from@nmcp1 , or @CoachMK21 does any of the ten thousand misc. things that need to be taken care of on a regular basis. Cuz you know... those guys certainly deserve at least a cookie for heaven's sake, especially since they don't make it a point to remind us of their good deeds and generally well received assistance...
I'll give @DesertPenguin09 a cookie lol. I'm just happy that he was familiar with a league policy/process and knew exactly where to go to find it (he's not good at finding things :boggled:).

DP, here's your cookie:

alot of you need to get off @ONESPACE back because we are in tilted to our own opinion and he has a very valid point . half the combos picked for the last three weeks have been of the 10yr old level with over grippy tires or just bad track car combo. yea you d5 and up guys might like it but the lower divisions dont. we should be racing gt3 cars and lmp cars but instead we are stuck driving fake cars on fake tracks but this is also partially PD fault because. (dont wanna start that convo)

Of course he's entitled to his opinion. He just shouldn't have posted it in a manner that can be misread as immature.

I normally wouldn't double post but ONESPACE posted while I was posting my first post.

I'm getting the fish off the hooks for slaps.... :dopey:

just as anyone is entitled to an opinion. We are also entitled to put good humor to good use.

as far as I know, SNAIL has never been a GT3 or GTx or Only premium cars... or only red cars.
what makes SNAIL great is the camaraderie and variety of tracks, cars and combos. You'll love some, you'll hate some. I personally don't care to race Karts; but I had a lot of fun with the few races run yesterday.

We have also heard the usual... ohh noo that combo needs to go because we've raced it for 3 weeks straight..Combo is great just getting old....

We are entitled to our own opinion, it's a forum. We shouldn't be driving just LMP and GT3 cars. GT has been about a broad range of cars from the start, and SNAIL has always raced in a broad range of those cars. For LMP and GT cars, there are plenty to choose from already! How many do you want exactly? There are more LMP1 cars available in the game than what is on the grid currently, probably more than what was developed in the last 2 seasons combined.

hmm, strange stuff, hmm, found this on the data highways lol

bozo
An incompetent person, especially in new companies. Bozos have a net negative effect on morale and profits, and everyone knows it.
I first heard this specific meaning of "bozo" during a talk to business students by one of Yahoo's founders.
Q: "What's the most important thing to do in order to grow your company from 10 employees to 100 or 1000?"
A: "Get rid of the bozos. Seriously, fire them immediately."

I sure would like to race some LMP's too!

Is there any chance we can get the car max price raised so we can pick one some time?

Honestly with B-spec added is money a problem any more?;)

it is a big problem... IT IS FAKE!

@NoSkill2Kill
In one thing I agree with onespace. The waiting for project cars is driving a lot of people nuts, including me.

huhhh.. they are going to drive you even madder.. sound familiar?

Gamespot, the delays are in part caused by certain bugs that are hard to fix. Though no details are available about these bugs, it can be assumed that multiplayer performance issues are among those things they need to completely perfect.

However with other racing games coming later this year, an early May release must completely blow away fans or face the backlash of fans. The game promises big and should deliver well or else, Grand Turismo 7 will mow down Project CARS completely.

I think the latter will be true.

I too am waiting eagerly for PRoject Cars. I will be using the PC version to utilize the big honking gaming machine I paid way too much for. It's too bad that Snail will only be a console community, I love it here, but I can't see myself buying a PS4 and moving on with GT7. I will stick it out with you guys because I really enjoy the comradery and fun that you guys provide, at least until the big switch to the new game. Online racing is facing a pretty good couple of years, I just wish the flight sim community was as active.

I'm undecided on PC or PS4. I may go with PC since I have a monster machine, and I don't want to spend the money for a PS4 and a new wheel. Built my box almost 5 years ago and I've only upgraded my ran from 12gb to 24gb, and replaced my dual GTX 470 cards with a new GTX 980. It's still a beast.

Do you watch top gear? If you do your point is invalid!
Yes your right Birdy. My point is invalid, Kart life I think has a couple 11yr olds.

I hope I get back in town for this 11yr old entertainment SUNDAY. I'll be trying very hard to win, and pick a realistic car at a realistic track for a realistic combo. Hope this isn't to immature for a certain individual. So sorry kid, hooked on phonics might be some good reading material. I'm I whining too, oops.

I can vote now, I'll go with the VW @ HSR.

Just kinda sad I spend a lot of money on wheels, chair, console etc. GT the real simulator, think that's what they call the game, and not the real FAKE simulator. I do race with other leagues and I know I don't have to race here, but the competition is the best here.

Sorry if I pee'd in anyone's Wheaties, just that one individual that had to start name calling, needs a good f&#%@SLAP.

No more fish slaps for me ehh?I think that the variety will help us to improve our driving skills!
(did I do the quote thing right?)

The shifter kart is one of the most demanding vehicles we could possibly drive in SNAIL, it requires as much concentration as F1, and precision is every bit as important (for example on the banked hairpin at streets of willow, 3/4 throttle might be perfect but full throttle will send you off, but you have to modulate and get to 100% as fast as possible to be really fast down the next straight)

And for sure the chassis is less forgiving with no aero or even suspension... you have to know where the bumps in the track are and take the fastest clean line.

I personally don't see what's childlike about a vehicle that weighs about as much as a shopping cart with almost much horsepower as my daily driver (or a sportbike), with your POV only 2ft from the track surface, no ABS, no downforce, no anything except 4 tires and the road.

That being said, the first two laps in the karts will be war of attrition unless you are on pole and run away fast.

I need a "love" button for this one.

Guess you haven't done much F1. Not even comparable.

What's your daily driver?
4AC powered AE86. "90hp" at the crank, about 60 makes it to the wheels. It's the 'California emissions' version of the 4A made just for us in the USA because we're special. The DOHC head makes about 120hp in the US and 130HP in japan...

And in case you're wondering, yes 60hp is plenty to terrify passengers.

Sure it might be easier to cruise around in a kart, but when it comes to getting 100% out of it... sure it's comparable. Why do you think most people who end up in F1 come from karting?
