I don't like the idea that you have to adjust each car's steering settings. I don't know what it should be. Shouldn't they? They made the game.
Each car is different and each persons preference is different. having different FFB settings for an LMP is much different than say a FWD street car. there are a couple different tools/spreadhseets out there from the PC guys to use as a starting point for every car. Im using one of them. Takes all of 2 mins to look up the car, plug in the numbers and give it a go on the track. you can then make adjustments from there if need to meet your own personal taste. its by no means a plug and play kind of sim. it will take a few days to understand how things work but once you do, the game comes alive even more

I haven't tried it for myself yet, but from what I have read, online for PCars is a bit of a mess. For now, I will get my online racing fix from GT6 and my offline racing in PCars. IMO, GT7 needs to get released this year and it needs to be everything PCars is from a physics standpoint. I'm not worried about GT7 looking great as they have always done eye candy well but the GT series needs to improve it's physics, tire model, and force feedback model if it wants to stay relevant.

I've been playing for almost a week now, how far along are you?

Don't worry, @FlipJ - I've never had to consider the particulars other than theoretically, myself.

We were kicking around the Schwimmenwagen at Eiger Reverse... can the winner choose to have the cars drive IN Reverse as well? :dunce: :cheers: :lol: :lol:

If he wants to be stoned to death in the town's main square, sure!!

And the Schwimenwagen is delightfully insane. I love it.

I'm in the second year. I started in the 125 karts and then moved up to the superkarts. I also did the Caterham invitational event. I'm just taking my time and enjoying it so far.

1:46? I'm gonna be in D99 soon.... I'm not within 10 seconds of 1:46 that at the Monza '80's on SM with that car.

@FlipJ - check lap times?

Let's trust your times then. And you are going to be faster than me, obviously.

We ran a bunch of combos before settling on it and my memory of what was the Lancia's time and what wasn't isn't perfect.

Same here, just finished the carts and now moving on with a new team.

The wheel itself looks too thick for hands. And the notch at the 10 and 2 look like they might get in the way. Otherwise it looks great.

This makes me more hopeful for Logitech support! I do have a strange feeling that they may try to re-enter the market with only that wheel being supported on consoles, rendering the G27 completely obselete.
I'm hopeful too. Also hoping that this is not because the g27 will never be compatible so they came out with a next gen wheel

I'd be fine with upgrading to the G29, as long as it's not priced much higher than the G27 was. I see a box above for what looks like just the shifter, so I'm also hoping they don't sell the shifter and wheel setup separate, because that will just inflate the price. I'm also curious to hear if there are any upgrades on the internals.

planning to open a room and practice the 2 known combos and then some green hell for just fun

All three combos are known. Prize B and C made their announcements right together and Prize A made his announcement earlier today. Try and keep up man. :D
