First off, a huge thank you goes out to @Rednose58 for making this. I hope to see many familiar faces this Sunday. Please post in the SNAIL Holiday Event Thread if you are interested.

-Race length will be cut from 30 minutes to 20 to save time on the night and make sure tires don't get too low. This allows two more races for a total time of 2hr40min instead of 3 hours.
-Due to power loss, drivers are allowed to change cars. There is no restriction or penalty on changing car model. You can buy multiples of the same car or switch to something else.
-The time will be progressively later in the day in order to get a changing shadow dynamic. Grand Valley, Monza, and Fuji are at forced start times but all others will be different from our normal SNAIL start times. This makes the shadows different from what we're used to, consequentially changing brake markers and such. Should be interesting.

In-Game Race Times: (Subject to change if more tracks are added)
Race 1: Apricot Hill Raceway - Time: 9am
Race 2: Brands Hatch GP - Time: 10am
Race 3: Grand Valley Speedway - Time: 11:10am
Race 4: Autodromo Nazionale Monza - Time: 12:30pm
Race 5: Nurburgring GP/F - Time: 1pm
Race 6: Twin Ring Motegi Road Course - Time: 3pm
Race 7: Fuji Speedway GT - Time: 4pm

Happy Holidays!!!

Congrats  to @JLBowler for winning the Playstation Plus 1 year membership. Once I receive the 411 $hells, I will PM you the code number:)

Guys, I was looking at the $hell balance doc and notice a lot of you have $hells and are not taking advantage of the Team Snail auctions in the Snail Marketplace .

There's some great stuff that has come up for bid. Click the link and keep you eyes open. There's some good stuff being auctioned and some good stuff coming up:eek:

When looking at horsepower and torque figures and their relation to RPM, what's better?

Torque makes the car go which is great, but too much and you get a lot of wheelspin out of turns? But where do you want it in the RPM band? Same with horsepower. How is 500HP at 6,800RPM different from 500HP at 5,000RPM or 7,5RPM?

I'm comparing two cars and both are at 500HP. One is at 5,300RPM and the other 6,800RPM. The torque is 570 at 4,00RPM and 394 at 5,500RPM, respectively. You can see how drastically different they are. Is one going to be blatantly better than the other?

Depends, where are the redlines? turbo? supercharger? drivetrain? engine placement? weight? Many factors

Isn't saying 500HP at 5,300 meaning that's the redline or am I reading that wrong? I'll PM you with the details.

So generally it's better for that number to be lower, so you can reach it sooner?

Generally yes but to much to soon is bad in that it will spin the car out of the corners

-We are simulating a world tour in a single night of racing, so I tried to group them together geographically. The time will be progressively later in the day in order to get a changing shadow dynamic. We start in Great Britain, then on to Italy, followed by Germany and closing out with Japan.

I'm working 4pm - Midnight so I wouldn't be there but sure, go ahead. As long as we still do the whole thing on Sunday. Consider anything before Sunday as practice for Sunday.

;) Just choose the one you can drive faster. Dont overthink it. It's not like there's real money on the line.

Hey, we try, but some dude keeps outbidding us, lol.
But if he keeps spending lots of $hells eventually some of us will have a chance!

edit:I just saw a post in the thread and it seems that point has been reached now. :)

A little Christmas message for you. Not every flower can say love, but a rose can. Not every plant survives a thirst, but a cactus can. Not every retard can read, but look at you go, little buddy!! Today you should take a moment and send an encouraging message to a :censored:ed up friend, just as I have done. I don't care if you lick windows, or 🤬 farm animals. You hang in there cupcake, because you're :censored:ing special to me, and you're my friend. Look at you smiling at your screen, you crayon eating mother 🤬! Merry Christmas

Hell, let's do it every night leading up to Sunday. We should use different tracks though so as not to get too bored with it before Sunday comes.

Just want to say Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all my fellow SNAILS around the world.
I'm honoured to be part of a community filled with great racers and great friends and I wish you all a safe and prosperous new year as it approaches.

Happy Holidays to all the amazing members of SNAIL Racing. I'm grateful for the friendships I've developed, and look forward to creating more in the future. It's truly a pleasure to spend my leisure time with this group of racers.
