I know this has been beaten to death, but can someone please explain why we still set tires based on pre-oil change PP? We never ever use that in a race setting so it's a meaningless stat. The type of tire used should be based on what we're driving, and we drive post-oil change.

7pp is inconsequential. It's the number they chose thats all. It's a moot point really, no point in quibbling over a few pp. If it equates to less tire on a particular combo I'd say thats a good thing.

Prize A will be....................................

TRACK
Cape Ring

CAR
Ruff RGT 00"
Before the oil change the pp is 499
Power is 379 hp
Drive train is RR
Weight is 1330 kg
Sport medium tires

@JLBowler @Rednose58

What is the mid div lap time for this combo?

Edit : 2:53.xxx after running 10 laps - however its over a 4 mile course with tons of turns so lots of time left on track

I think it's quite a valid point actually. As DP stated, the league does not race the stock pp (and technically not supposed to either), so basing the tire on an unused and illegal performance statistic does indeed seem illogical at first glance.

However, I imagine over several years of GT5/6 SNAIL racing it has probably been established that this method yields a more appropriate tire for majority of cars. The RGT and probably a handful of others may be the minority that unfortunately get the short end of the stick shifter?.?.. but you really cannot have exceptions all the time because that just opens flood gate of BS that would be nonsesical.

Dealership PP is well documented in the dealership and therefore easy to verify.

I noticed there are three green cars in our division and cause your making that color look so good, I again will go in search of a new color combo....hmmm what should it be!

And what about post-oil HP is hard to verify? Kudosprime has a list of all cars with both PP and HP numbers.

I'm just being a devil's advocate at this point. Not trying to rustle any feathers.

because not all prize announcements come with post oil numbers especially when it comes to new members (usually old members but we will blame the new members)

The game is the gold standard. a persons work is only as accurate and reliable as the author. Without going through the entire list and verifying against the game, one should not assume it is accurate.

Congrats to Jam Car!
Bit of a shame, because you're green is so pretty. But then, It's appreceiated becasue I'm pretty fond of my Avocado Green - same color as my childhood fridge.
Renault biscuit yellow and black would be nice...

The Mercs at Mount Panorama - THAT'S EXCITING! I love that circuit, it's great for racing.
