That depends if you're willing to sacrifice the built-in cup holder!

Haha I couldn't seem to find a chair that was short enough for the wheelstand, and yet comfy. So the lawn chair has been sufficing, but the lack of lumbar support = a sore back after a few hours.

I have question for all those who use headsets. What headset do to recommend? It can be wired or wireless but needs to have a mic. Thoughts on why you recommend it would be great. Budget is up to 200 but I have no problem spending much less.

This is the headset I use: Turlte Beach PX5.

In my opinion , this is the best headset , for the money ($229.00) , that you can buy. If your willing to drop the cash , you'll be very happy!

When I was using the Wheel Stand Pro , I was very comfy , see:

To whom this may concern,

I'm seated in Division 3, a fresh SNAIL from the wilds. I just caught a flu and I may not be fit to be racing this coming Sunday night. If you don't see me, well, you know what is happening.

To those who may be racing this Sunday, "may the odds ever be in your favor," only if I'm not there.

^_^

👍 You're only as old as you allow yourself to feel right :)

Last time I was carded was 1983, I was 23 and the drinking age was 18, I said thank you :dopey:

I got carded last last year and I'm 54 with little hair left, I asked are you SERIOUS!

I got carded for a beer in Laughlin at a casino bar while I was on vacation this month.

I'm 6'2" 315 lbs. with a full goatee and walked in smoking a great big cigar. I still have a full head of hair but I do not appear to be anywhere close to 21. I'm 36 and I really believe the only reason I got carded is that I was probably the youngest person the bartender had seen in a week. It was Laughlin after all.

Thanks Zero for the PM. No, I'm not going to be able to attend Sunday night racing this weekend, I'm out of town. Good luck to those in DIV 2 if you do race. Enjoy your weekend everyone!

Laughlin, NV?

Hey JL, thanks for the paint chips, I think I got the hand of dupping the paint, but highly appreciated! 👍

Everyone prepare for the last Magic Lap race of the summer! After this, I'm not sure when the next races will be held, so be there tonight!

Please ensure you understand all the information in the Magic Lap thread. The procedure changes often so make sure to read it before each race to see if there have been changes.

The next set of races will be TONIGHT Friday, August 31st, at 10PM EDT.

Theme: Japanese Classics (same as last week) - As far as I can remember, which apparently isn't far, we haven't had a theme specifically dedicated to Japanese cars yet. But in many races so far, I've seen numerous drivers driving Japanese cars where eligible, most of them relatively modern. So to force them to drive something different, this week's theme will be classic Japanese cars. This is what Gran Turismo games are all about, it seems, and there's no shortage of cars to choose from.

If someone wants to be cheeky and use the Toyota 7, I can't stop them, but don't plan on using it the whole night. :D

You'll see me in a Toyota Sports 800 for sure, and possibly some historic rally cars. I'm allowing cars up to 1985 because they're classic enough, and we need some faster cars to kick the butts of the slower ones.
Track: Suzuka Circuit
Car Restriction: Country of Origin: Japan; Year: 1985 or earlier

Most importantly, please give the racing your full attention and try to keep things going as quickly as possible. Races can be set up very quickly if everyone is paying attention, but it can take forever if one person is dilly-dallying. We want to race as much as possible and we can't if there are people unprepared. In the same vein, if you show up and have not taken times for your cars, you will be asked to go to another room to get times before returning and racing. If I let one person get times in the lounge I'll have to let everyone, and we'll be back to running two or three races a night. Not good.

Finally, this is a fun, whimsical event that isn't meant to be entirely competitive. However, it is not dirty. I expect everyone to follow the OLR rules during the races. Concentration is especially important in these short races as one mistake can cost you or someone else everything. Instead of concentrating on speed, please focus on consistency and avoiding mistakes. I assure you that will make the whole night much more fun.

I'm in for this, but what exactly do I need to do? I've read the info and everything, but how many cars should i test?

I'd bring at least two. It's always nice to have something to switch to if someone brings a similar car.

Pff, I've had enough of a challenge with the race, but I have to do the time trial now, it's the only chance I'll have.

Though honestly, I think it will be easier than the race.

practicing in d3

How goes practice? I am kinda glad I am not racing this week (or at least very unlikely too) as I feel the spa/m5 combo needs a lot of practice I have not been able to do.

I hope it and the evo/tsukuba combos stick around till next week.

and I love your new signature. And yes you setup is very ghetto. Go to a junkyard and get a proper seat;)

practice went well. Me chat/tex had some good battles in lancer. Right now I'm working on the Miata time trial, determined to get in the top 100!

Top 100 pretty impressive. After gta 2012 I just can't put in that level of effort. Am enjoying S.N.A.I.L 100 times more:)

Didn't manage top 100, top 5500. best lap 1:11:500, had to beat 1:08:331. It's also 5 am haha... Let's just say I have Tsukuba down pretty well now ;)

keep working on these seasonal events, it's a great tool to improve lap times and consistency.

my laps tonight at Tsukuba in practice were .005 apart from each other altogether then 2nd run we had. I couldn't believe it. I need to make up some time in some places though, because I'm about 1.5 seconds off what I feel I should be at. still got a solid day of practice left though, calling it quits at 5:30 am :scared:

I'm currently ranked #16 and 17 on the nurb TT...I'll try to improve that tomorrow.
(I wish I had 8 more sub-account so I could clog the 2nd page of results )
