Yeah, it's a sight. There are usually a couple of the special cars from GT7 here. Last year GM brought many cars including the Stingray racer from their museum. I'll get some more pictures later, Chrysler is the featured marque collector at the Lime Rock vintage festival. As always, if anyone around makes it to the track, feel free to stop by in A paddock. The Civic is at home, so look for the 914 instead. Or the Helix. People love the Helix lol.

the helix is great. I've always wanted one being a honda motorcycle fan (i've owned a magna 750, nighthawk 750, cm400t.)
is that a 150? i've always wanted to go to lime rock for Imsa. Watkins Glen has its own vintage/ historic event next weekend. have fun weather should be perfect this weekend

^ that is definitely the full Mclaren experience lol.

The Helix is a great machine. It was the king of the scooters until the Burgman. We joke about it, but truthfully the Helix gets more attention than the 914. It's a 250cc. It's quite fast. It'll do maybe 80 under the right conditions. They were rated around 20hp iirc, but they always seemed to make like 25hp haha. It's a big bike, a few inches longer overall than my Kawasaki ZR7. It's like a step-through Gold Wing. It rides like a big cruiser feet forward and relaxed.

Next weekend I might've gone to the Glen if I weren't going to be at Pitt Race for NASA Championships.

"I have read the first post and would like to join" I had hit the Google to try and find where groups of people race together in a more organized fashion and stumbled onto this. Not sure how all this works but definitely want to get in on the racing and making some friends in the gt7 scene.

Here's your official SNAIL Welcome Post!

Thanks for your interest!
Here's what you need to know (and do) in order to join SNAIL Racing League:

We run a clean league by enforcing a strict penalty system based on the SNAIL OLR (which is a modified version of the GTP OLR). We also expect all of our drivers to know and follow The Good Racecraft Guide. Please become versed in both if you aren't already. Once that is complete, please follow the steps below to complete your entry into the league:

1. You start a conversation and add zer05ive, JLBowler, nmcp1, SAMHAIN85, llNovall & Akzl298
as participants.

The conversation title should be "Request To Join".

2. SNAIL Administrators will respond with specific instructions on what you need to accomplish to join the SNAIL [Spec] Racing.

3. Place the following links (URLs) in the favorites (or bookmarks) in your web browser for quick reference. Please make every effort to read and understand the following links. Over the years a great deal of time and effort has gone into creating this league and we would like nothing more than to have you but we ask that you take the time and effort to do your homework. 99.9% of any question you may have about SNAIL can be found in the posts below.
4. You drive fast and clean on Sunday 👍

Again, the original post has everything you need to know about what to expect on Sunday night and what you will need to have completed in order to be competitive. If you have any questions, please feel free to post your question on the thread.

During the week we run a number of different events, we encourage all SNAILs to join as many as possible.
Welcome to SNAIL

The wide variety of combos is what makes SNAIL different from the other leagues and also from the boring daily races which are always the same thing week after week. This week is high powered street cars but the next could be a GR3 car, a low powered FWD hatch and a mid power RWD on sports tires which makes every week different and interesting. I wish the dailies had more variety like SNAIL has. Its also nice to see picks from other people than the usual prize winners (myself included)

So, back in December I managed to gold every license test except S10. Bronzed that one and struggled with it off and on until my extended "break" from GT. Couple weeks ago I decided to put some effort into getting the gold on S10. Been on the struggle bus with it until late this week when I started to show some improvement. Finally knocked it out about 30 minutes ago.

My question to all on my friends list, why for there's nobody on S10's list but me?

Will have a warmup room open tomorrow evening, 7-9P Eastern.

^ They cleared all license times with one of the physics changes.
WTP? That's just ridiculous. And, it appears, @JamCar0ne is the only person in my FL that bothered to reset their times. Hmm. Looks like another project to do off and on this winter. Think I'll let the first gold time I post be what stands, whether it beats anyone else or not. After going through some of the others @TokenTimmy posted some times as well.

At least they didn't wipe out previous "trophies" achieved in every license. That woulda' been truly aggravating.

Iirc they did it with an update where everything got slower. Somewhere in the last several updates everything got faster again, though maybe not as much as a year ago. I only did the bare minimum to unlock stuff and never looked back.

Haven't driven much in the past few weeks, between being away and now dealing with an arm injury. Kind of missing it, as this is about when I usually start driving more again. Another few weeks hopefully.

Yeah, it really sucks when they reset the leaderboards, especially since you don't get anything for rerunning it. I'd like to see some amount rewarded, even 10% of the original amount would be good. I'm lucky to have few friends who consistently update their times, helps keep it interesting.

Host can start on time. The only reason to delay start, is to allow a driver already in the the lobby their 3 minutes to sort out connection issues.
