Just dropping an open invitation to any
PS5 drivers that may be interested racing with us in the SNAIL Friday Night Racing series. We are currently heading into our final GT4/GS series finale this Friday, but will be starting our next Friday series in
December 2023.
All SNAIL Drivers are welcome and invited to have a look and join if interested. Races are monthly on Friday nights at 9pm est. We run a 15 minute warm up/15 minute Qualifying/30 minute Race 1/30 minute Race 2 format.
Our next series will be using a the
NEW 2022 Porsche 911 GT3RS (992) as our base to create the newest version of a 992 Porsche GT3 Cup car for the return of this competitive one make series based closely off the real world Porsche Cups. Tuning is allowed, but limited to suspension and differential adjustments only. Aero is unable to be adjusted, and drivers will only be allowed to use/choose which close ratio transmission to use for a scheduled event (NO Fully Adjustable Transmissions). This car is amazing to drive and much better than the 991 version we used in our previous 3 seasons.
Also, the SNAIL Friday Night Racing is parity based using Driver Specific PP regulations to help bring the gap between the fastest and slower drivers closer together, resulting in some intense and long multi-car battles and plenty of challenges to all driver skillsets. The system is not perfect, but is better than many series that run various driver skillsets straight up. A time trial will be used before the season opener to establish a parity window across these skillsets, then success penalties are applied after each event to further tighten up the bookends in pace. As many of our drivers will attest, this system and format has created some very competitive racing over many of our previous series.
Please have a look at the link below, and if interested in joining us and currently racing on a PS5, sign up as instructed in the series first post. Hope to see some old and new names join in with us for our upcoming season on Friday Nights.
