I would like to join snail racing this season.

Hey Whitey093,

Glad to have you in S.N.A.I.L. 👍

Please read the following:

We run a clean league by enforcing the S.N.A.I.L. OLR and we expect all of our drivers to know and follow The Good Racecraft Guide.
Please become versed in both.

Follow These Steps:
1. I add you to the drivers list as a New S.N.A.I.L. (Done)
2. You run the Time Trial.
3. You Private Message my GTPlanet account with your time from the time trial (no Sunday racing until this is completed).
4. I assign you to the appropriate Division, to give you the best racing possible.
5. A PSN friend request will be sent from the appropriate SNAIL_Division1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 account. That is where you race on Sunday night.
6. You drive fast and clean on Sunday :)

The first post has all the rules and regulations for S.N.A.I.L. It is the first place you need to check if you have a question. If it's not answered there, feel free to post your question on the thread.

The second post has the current race lineup for Sunday and is updated weekly.

If you have a preference for car/wheel colour and racing number, post your choices in this thread.
To avoid duplication, the currently claimed combinations can be found here.

During the week we run a number of different events, we encourage all S.N.A.I.L.s to join as many as possible.

Welcome aboard and enjoy :)

Jbowler. What day and time do you purpose for this event?

I don't know for day and time yet. What's posted there was taken directly from a post for when the series originally ran. I'm just throwing it out there to see if anyone around here would be interested in running it and if so, I will come up with day, time, and other details.

Yeesh. I would love to join any of these series if I could dedicate myself to another evening. . .

Of course, unlike most people here, a start an hour later would make things significantly more feasible. ;) (Most of you have heard that before. hehe)

The time sounds good to me. Starting at 8PM EST is a great time for me instead of 10PM.
But can we pick another day of the week like Thursday?

Ran in a league simular to that. It was 404hp and 1200kg. Lots of fun. We had to pick a car and stay with that car for 10 races.

I have an idea so that we don't have another set of races with all RM and tuner cars. Maybe we should have three different set of classes for the cars, one for each combination. Like say we have a Daihatsu Copen for the slower class, a Dodge challenger for the middle class, and a ferrari 458 as the fast class. Or you could do a classic, modern, and random set as a weeks combination

Great racing guys. Last race at Daytona I kept two wheels above the yellow and ran a 1:46.9xx:) vail ran a 1:48.7xx. Awesome race. I really like that track:)

good practicing tonight, anxiously awaiting the promo's/relegations

Think of it more as divisional realignment. And I don't want you to leave D4 I like racing you:(

I am honestly indifferent on it all, I'm trying to find a new color that is a bit less dramatic looking at the moment. Bowler's car inspired me haha

Announcing the November Lineup for S.N.A.I.L. SPEC Racing

The Drivers List has been updated with Promotions and Relegation's for the month of November.

I'd like to point out there's no clear cut formula for getting promoted or relegated. We take into account a number of factors to determine candidates for promotion and relegation. Once we've identified the drivers, we analyze the data at our disposal and make sure the people being moved fit into the Division they're being moved to. Then we pull the trigger :dopey:

Some of the criteria for being eligible to be promoted or relegated are:

1. Points for the month
2. Race pace
3. Number of times you've raced that month.
4. How you compare to other racers in your division and the division you're a candidate for.
5. How many drivers are in each division.
6. How cleanly you've raced this past month.

Why do we do this?

1. To congratulate you on a season well raced.
2. To get you involved in races you will be racing in, not just driving.
3. To incent you to improve your driving and racecraft.
4. To make it possible for you to have fun playing GT5.

We want you to be in good, close, clean racing 👍

If you have any questions or concerns about promotion or relegation, feel free to pm me. I'd be more than happy to talk to you about it.

N.B. If you were promoted or relegated and don't already have access to the lounge you're assigned to for the November season you should now have an FR waiting in your PSN inbox. If for some reason you don't have access to the correct lounge, let me know asap!

Cheers and good racing all!

I think of it as a challenge to hope for a podium finish for the month.

I still have to handle Count210, Kuulkrinne, Iroquois...making a podium in a race is going to be my stretch goal for November.
