Hey, a few weeks ago a saw a Nissan GT-R late 90's with the steering wheel on the wrong side!

As someone who has lived longer in countries who drive on the other side of the road, I feel obligated to say that the steering wheel is on the correct side over there :sly:

i am on my 4th ps3 because of laser disc malfunction...whatever....can someone please send me a formula GT car? i dont have enough cash to purchase one. i had to start over from scratch

You know that can be fixed, right? I've gotten a couple of lasers from these guys. You can't send the FGT.

Demolition derby? I don't recall seeing a complaint filed by you on the steward forum this week so all must have been well for you.

Don't complain if you aren't going to file a complaint. If you don't say anything then don't bitch next week when they keep on doing it.

I wasn't bitching. I was using past history to make a valid point which is that patience is the ultimate factor in clean racing, not hp. Read and understand before you write. I cannot be responsible for your misconceptions. They are all your own.

It is ironic that you are the one actually bitching, not me. I wonder if that ever dawned on you before you attacked me in the forum.

I understand that you have stewards in place to review incidents and I have read through all the information in the thread in regards to filing a complaint. Your deadline is Monday night and I didn't have time to deal with it even if I cared to do so, which I did not. I did not call anyone out and I did not criticize the league or the stewards for anything that happened so I don't see any reason for anyone to be defensive.

I decided to join this league because I didn't want to spend a lot of time tuning and perfecting and the league's mission was to provide clean close racing. Time, for me, is a factor and I am not interested in being a policeman for this league, especially after only one bad race. I can see that some of you get bent out of shape over the littlest things so I can't imagine what a formal complaint would do. I can see the angry PM responses already from the accused who must be copied in the complaint. I can envision my own racing being scrutinized and questioned for every little flaw, in retaliation. I frankly don't have the time or inclination to bother with all that drama unless and until it becomes a repeating problem. That however, does not mean that I won't use my experiences to make valid points in this forum.

I will say that there is a lot of hostility in this forum and it is readily apparent to the most casual observer. That is a sure way to alienate people. It is already starting to effect my perception of this league. I am sure others come in and look at it and have some poor thoughts about it as well.

You can also back up your game data to a USB or the PSN Cloud; aren't you a premium member?

That way if you start on a new system don't have to start from zero $.

if i would have known it was gonna crash, dont you think i would have backed it up?

blah blah blah...dupe me a formula GT PLEASE!!!

How about showing a little respect for people that are trying to help you?

Dabney already replied the FGT can NOT be sent because it's purchase price is more than a million dollars.

OR: If you'd backed it up, it wouldn't matter (much) if it crashed ...

Iroquois. You could try and get a level 24 ticket from someone (I would send it but I've used my send for today already) but you'd better be prepared to flip the ticket until you get an FGT (you can also get ferrari formula car from that ticket).

Alternatively, you could grab a FF car set to around 380 PP, if I recall correctly, and run the FF seasonal at Cape Ring until you have enough cash to buy one from the OCD. There are other seasonals that would work just as well but since you just restarted, a FF with that PP should be easy enough to come by.

thanks JL

Dabney and wolfsatz both gave you solutions to a broken laser and making use of the PS3's backup utility so if something did happen, you could recover from it.

You blew them off by going blah, blah, blah

That being said, how bad could the FGT be? If it is the power that is feared, how do you explain the demolition derby that the 75hp Cap at Madrid was?

I am not sure power is the issue here. I would say patience is the issue and it doesn't matter how little or how much power you have if you have no patience.

It appeared as if you were calling that race a demolition derby. Which would imply you witnessed alot of vehicle to vehicle contact. And you had alot to say in chat during the races as well.

I just thought that after the egregious violations you witnessed that you might file a complaint lest ye be a victim once again.

Do you still have your old PS3? Does it run? If so, copy your GT5 game save to a usb drive, then copy that game save to your new PS3. Anything else?

Alternatively, if you are a Plus member, you dont even need the USB, you can save it to the PSN network and bring it back to the 4th system.

I was mad after the race. I am human and competitive. That is why I turned off my mic after that race when I realized I had nothing constructive to say and was just making things worse.

I turned my mic on later when the talk of the Clio at Daytona incident made me laugh and cheered me up. I also won the first Daytona race which made me happy considering how badly I messed up in the GVE races due to letting my frustration get the better of me emotionally. The night wasn't a total wash and I wasn't that angry after I slept on it. The fact that I referred to the 'demolition derby" perhaps was a little provocative but I characterized it that way to make a point that without patience, good racecraft is impossible, regardless of the car being used.

Sometimes get you upset about a game can affect your humor in real life so take it easy and relax. Dont let the game control you and enjoy the best simulator!!!

I think the idea that the car has nothing to do with having a clean race is not something that is not backed up by our collective experience. I'm not going to dispute that patience has a lot to do with it, but we tend to have closer races with less-powerful cars.

I'm just gonna go out a limb here and say this is probably because most of the snail cars driven are relatively slow. Some are better than others with slow cars and some are better with fast cars, making the promotion/relegation a bit insignificant when the cars are sped up for a week

Relative to what? The MP4-12C is pretty fast, as is the R8 V10.

Yea basically. The pp on gt5 goes up to around 1000 with the x1. Most of the races I've driven in snail have been either around 500 or lower. Might just be because I haven't been around that long but I can't remember driving a car over 600 pp
