Why do you guys need to have all this fighting after one set of bad combos. I mean I can understand after the zonda but seriously guys, this has become more of a argument center than a racing league. I understand why some of you guys are upset because there wasn't any close racing apart from the Clio, but seriously guys, we shouldn't be fighting about each others skill level and whether or not this league should ban these high powered vehicles. Your lucky this league doesn't allow the lmp cars because we'd all be screwed. These cars are just a learning experiences and we should be taking advantages for these moments and just learn from it.

Now personally I'm a big speed guy, but close races are just an amazing feeling to be in. This league has been amazing for me and hopefully a lot of people and too much work and too much time for it to become what it has this past week. So everyone calm down and ik that this seems like a ramble on but it's just getting annoying when I get home and find that there are two more pages on the forum of just pure arguing.

I didn't know we were fighting

Part of the problem with the super high performance cars is that the stock tune is SO unforgiving, because the ability to tune them comes included on the car stock, so the game "expects" you to be able to fix it. But we can't.

And so the wheel of our SNAIL lives keeps spinning...

I agree greatly with what Bowler said as well. But I think things like the FGT and X1 really don't reflect what SNAIL is about. I guess with SNAIL I always feel like we are the grassroots racing league. But now that league is transitioning into a more professional entity with crazy race car crazyness. I think there is a good reason the RX-7 was one of the longest running cars in the league. It's in that sweet zone that I think everyone can competitively compete in. These high powered break neck beasts out there right now though. Aside from a small few, those are area 51 cars. The FGT is far beyond my concentration abilities. I could do a few hot laps and be good, but put me in the mix, hope I don't take anyone out as that damn UFO blindsides me.
I think that challenging cars do make us better racers. But no one fights a street fight, a sleezy cage fight, and a UFC match in the same night.
Now, for no better reason then just throw an idea out there, instead of bracket racing pp placement system something, what about a pp cap. Set it to like 1600pp for the night. I think I remember seeing this now that Im typing it, and not for the race that is going on right now I think? Anyway, prize a and be still work the same. prize a picks their car, then whatever the remaining pp that is left, prize b can use to pick their car. Savvy?
Hmm 1600 PP where have I heard that:sly: Well Diabolic Kendawg and I were practicing our 1600 PP Performance Cap cars and talking about how much fun it was:)

i guess everyone should just shut up, drive the cars and get on with it. i didn't like the zonda at suzuka but i like it better at fuji. i learned things about the car and my driving style and skill driving it at suzuka.

atleast we don't have mechanical issues to worry about like clutches or losing a gear mid race or losing brakes before a hairpin.

drive. learn. progress

I can't believe how many people are crying about the combos. LOL my advice. Practice practice practice.

Honestly though. Why not drop the FGT's hp down to like 600-700hp. This will keep it off the limiter and allow the less skilled drivers more chance at controlling the car.

We can reduce HP and still use no tune setting.

Heck even consider dropping the Zonda down a 100 hp too. ;)

I'm ok with them now but can also respect the skill levels and would accommodate.

Bah! My sarcasm failed! Sorry man, that was a joke.

I laughed out loud the first time I read it. Still laughing. I thot it was very witty. I'm still laughing, woe that's funny. I.d.c who you are, that was f'n hilarious. Good one.

Btw, I really enjoyed practice. I liked all 3 combos myself. The Zonda is a bit tricky at Fuji but still fun. It prefers the high speed turns of Suzuka though.

We seem to like a lot of the same combos. The first one I really need to work on. I just never use that track. The Zonda and FGT are awesome. It's combos such as these that help me improve. Regardless, 50% of our selections are changed out every week. Wait a couple and people will have something new to complain about.

I did this with the FGT. Didn't knock it down that far, but put the power limiter to 95%. I don't have the amount of experience/skills as others in the league, but it was obvious at the outset of working with these two cars that I had to do everything I could to keep them on the track, and reduce the drama as much as possible.

Driveclub look nice on ps4 but this conference had not reveal the look of this console. Anyway the look is not very important, its what we get in the console the most important (my favorite things ,processor and graphic card).

How do I join here? Would like to check this out. I'm tired of getting banged around in public rooms.
Hey GT5AddictGT5,

Thanks for your interest! Hopefully you will not get that here:) Here's what you need to know and do in order to join:

We run a clean league by enforcing a strict penalty system based on the S.N.A.I.L. OLR (which is a modified version of the GTP OLR). We also expect all of our drivers to know and follow The Good Racecraft Guide.
Please become versed in both if you aren't already. Once that is complete, please follow the steps below to complete your entry into the league:

1. You run the Time Trial. (NOTE: The tires selected for this have more grip than our current tire regulations allow, but please follow the directions exactly anyways).
2. You PM kcheeb with your time from the time trial (no Sunday racing until this is completed).
3. We assign you to the division that we feel will give you the closest competition.
4. We send you a you a PSN friend request from the corresponding SNAIL_Division1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 account. That PSN account's lounge is where you will race on Sunday night.
6. You drive fast and clean on Sunday 👍

The original post has everything you need to know about what to expect on Sunday night and what you will need to have completed in order to be competitive. If you have any questions, please feel free to post your question on the thread.

Please note that we often race DLC from three add-on packs:

Racing Car Pack
Course Pack
Twin Ring Motegi Pack

If you don't have these add-on packs, you will need to sit out the races in which they are used.

If you have a preference for car/wheel colour and racing number, post your choices in this thread.
To avoid duplication, the currently claimed combinations can be found here.

During the week we run a number of different events, we encourage all SNAILs to join as many as possible.

Welcome to S.N.A.I.L.

I do like the idea of fixed PP ranges for the three cars.

That would ensure each night has at least one car that folks can handle.

The idea put forward by Hillracing.

Would you rather have the occasional night that you don't like or one combo each week that you want to avoid?

Car selection goes both ways. Way back in July, we had three weeks in a row where the Ferrari 512 BB and if massive 481 PP was round three. That's right, the highest PP car of the three was only 481.

This is a stretch where the PP is going to run high. There are times when it runs low. That is the beauty of having the freedom to pick what you want. We drive a wide variety of cars and that is how it should be. If you only want to drive cars in the 400 to 500 PP range then you should find a group that only allows those cars. No where in the SNAIL rules does it say we can only choose to run cars within a certain PP and I don't think it ever should.

Variety is the spice of life. As much as the FGT and Zonda aren't my cup of tea from a preference point of view, this league does give people certain opportunities to drive cars they would never have chosen to drive in a public lobby or for any challenges in game. This does sometimes change our perspective on cars we always hated simply because we never tried it...like broccoli or stewed cabbage...wait...I still hate those.

Anyways...while I'm just as fast as anyone in my division in the FGT and Zonda...they just aren't really what I prefer to drive. I'm glad I have been able to put some seat time in them...I just wish that everyone could drive close together in them without playing bumper cars.

VIVA LA FREEDOM!!👍

Just ride the wave guys, it'll calm back down soon.(like when we get chronic arm and shoulder pain)

For those of you not following the Performance Cap Thread we are running another 1600 PP event Saturday night. We will be in D3 so if you want to give it a try post in the thread.

One change from the monday night event is we will be using Sport Hard Tires for all cars.

I was told I will be "set up" tonight. I guess that means division placement. As for colors I would like Autumn Bronze Metallic wheels and Champagne Metallic Opal for the car. Can I do that or are only certain colors available?

I am also on the side of the fewest restrictions, but I do not mind the upper Credit limit dropping back down to $1 million.

Hitting D1 inna few minutes.

Hey guys, don't forget about ESCarGOT in the Division 2 lounge tonight! We've got some fun and unique races set up for tonight, including LMP cars at Spa, and High Speed Ring in the rain!

I am going to try and make this but about 50/50 right now.
