SLS AMG is my dream car, so far I've seen a total of 4, "one in the wild", two at car shows(one two years in a row), and one at a dealership. Oddly enough, two were silver and 2 were white. Personally I'd go with silver, with a black interior. A lot of people say the front of the car is really long, but I don't really think it was too big, you are right about the doors and how wide the car is.
Here is one for you:)

And a few other angles can be found here.

3 Sets of Wings

My Wife took most of them but the really distorted wide angles are curtesy of my 11-16:) It was a fun day stumbling upon them. Must say my car spotting days are pretty distorted. If I do not see a Ferrari or SLS or GTR everyday something is amiss. Now seeing a Veyron (not that I like them), Jaguar XJ220, 911 GT3 RS 4.0, AMG CLK Black or BMW M1 (not to be confused with the cool new 1M). Now those are good days.

guys, sorry I was late...and then had to bail altogether. The server(s) kept booting me each time I was in the room.

Hope tonight was fun.

The GranStand Challenge points spreadsheet has been updated.

I've checked the totals but, if you feel they don't reflect the number of races you participated in, please let me know!

EDIT: I added the weekly details to the sheet as well. Should make it easier to see when you raced.

Looks good, cheeb! Is there any way you can add one more column for thread penalties (as opposed to racing penalties)? Both RickyBobby and JoeW were docked one GranStand point each for complaining about race incidents publicly on the thread instead of doing it the proper way.

I gave both of them a chance to file a complaint to regain their GranStand point, but neither one did. The only reason I mention that now is that I want to make clear that there were be no more "warnings" about this kind of stuff. We're one month into the GranStand season so everyone should know the rules by now. If you have a complaint about anything that happened on the track, tell someone who can actually do something about it. Complaining openly on the thread will result in the automatic loss of GranStand points, regardless of whether you file an official complaint or not.

My internet was acting up tonight, particularly after the first round. I was getting lag spikes and was disconnecting between races. I decided to hang at the back for the rest of the races as to not potentially ruin someone else's night with a lag related incident. I wanted the Grand Stand points though, so I still finished all of the races 👍 My connection is usually pretty solid so things should be good for next week.

Was a strange night in D1. Some good racing but I think our room was lagging tonight. I hope my hotel internet wasn't the cause of any of it. Anyways just to be official I won't make the next 2 weeks races as I'll be on a cruise celebrating my anniversary with my wife. Hope the Rx7 sticks around till then because I enjoyed it even though I drove it like poop.

Good stuff, WiiFreak. You have the right idea. 👍

Remember everyone, you don't have to have the most GranStand points at the end of the GranStand season to win the GranStand Wheel Stand. You just have to be in the top 20 or so to have a chance. After tonight we're only one third of the way through the GranStand season so there's plenty of time to work you're way up into the top 20 in GranStand points.

Here are three things you can do to get into the Top 20:
  1. Race consistently
  2. Race clean
  3. File any complaints here instead of complaining on the thread

I also think GranStand penalty points should apply if anyone is race complaining during Sunday nights races or not following the Race Directors direction.

Last week it was Schmigz and this week it was Oshawa_Joe... One stinking point! Tonight was about as close as it can get, great racing everyone!

I like that idea, but that'd be much more difficult to police. Complaining on the thread is easy to police since the words are right there staring everyone in the face. Know what I mean?

Thanks Hill, hope you have as much fun on the cruise as you do racing in S.N.A.I.L. ;) Happy Anniversary 👍

It was a fun night D3, thanks! Great racing with everyone

If you believe that another driver exhibited poor racecraft or is guilty of an OLR Rules violation, please file a complaint by 10pm Eastern / 7pm Pacific on Monday night. You must follow the complaint process precisely or your complaint will not be addressed!! If you're undecided on whether or not you should file a complaint, please read this. Also keep in mind that a race complaint isn't supposed to be an argument. Here are some good tips on how to make sure things stay civil and respectful. 👍

Stewards. I was wondering about a track boundary. Someone mentioned there was a ruling about an area and wanted to clarify what is legal and what isn't.

Here are some pics depicting the turn 4 exit I'm not sure about.

Is outside yellow line drawn in illegal. Is outside the blue line illegal.

I've always thought that outside the drawn blue line was out of bounds.

Thank you in advance.

Tonight's racing was fun. Had some bad luck bit didn't ruin the fun. Thoroughly enjoyed the last combos. Combo 1, I picked has run its course for myself. Hope it goes way side. Here hopes the Lamborghini stays and GP/D goes. :)

Good chance ill be back next week. Doubt I have the pc moved and rig completed. Been busy at work and haven't had time to finish my projects. ;)

I'd prefer filling out a pre made sheet. This would prevent forgetting any info required.

To take the time file. Only to have it ignored cause you missed a detail really would make one say screw it. I ain't wasting my time. Something to think about. ;)

Good idea, but I'm not sure how we'd incorporate PM'ing the other driver involved into a pre-made sheet or form. After all, that's the part of the process that's the most important (and it says so too! ;)). For the record, we've never not addressed a complaint due to missing details. That's all requested just to make things a little easier on the stewards. However, not letting the other driver know you're filing a complaint.. well, that's s a deal breaker.

Any ideas on how we could create a form that could easily be sent to both the division steward and the other driver involved?

Thank you.

Do you happen to know about this adjusted boundary I had heard about.

Hey Owens this is what the rewording of the rules was a few weeks ago: The track boundary is defined as either the edge of the track where pavement turns to grass or a curb where there is one. If there is a wall that pavement goes up to unless there is a curb before the wall the wall will act as the edge of the track. For example Deep Forest where the extra pavement is before the tunnel the curb will count as the edge of the track as there's a curb before the wall, however at Trial Mountain reverse there is no curb before the wall in the first chicane so the wall is the edge of the track. White lines will no longer be the edge of the track. As always two wheels must remain on the track at all times.

Don't know if that will be modified again but that's the current wording.

Division 4 replays are up!!

Thanks, Exo!

Replay uploaders and data specialists, please try to get into the habit of posting on the thread once you've completed your contribution to your division. Who knows, you might be rewarded for doing so one of these days.. ;)

Why would the boundry policy need rewording again? Curb, grass, wall. Thats pretty straight forward I think. In this case, there is an obvious curb. in between the blue and yellow line is also obviously not a continuation of the curb. If people were running out there, then file it for review.

I thought it's only halfway correct, Oshawa-Joe?

For the first half, isn't it the inside red/white kerbing, then when the curb stops, and there is the run-out pavement, isn't it the further out kerb by the wall?

Edit: D5 is now uploaded.

RE: Race Complaint / Question / Review

Please take a look at the (following) incident(s). I felt there were some issues. Let me know what you think was happening.

Combo #, Race # (Race # overall)
Lap #
Lap # / Overall #

Optional - use "I statements" - describe only from YOUR info, please avoid putting words in the other guy's mouth, or assuming you know what he thought he was doing, or why he was doing something. Personally, I haven't met an omniscient driver yet, even in SNAIL. ;-)

I was trying to... I lost control to the left when another car hit my car on the right... I was passed by...

I would think the white line is a continuation of the rumble to the next rumble strip, thus OB if outside of it. Looks pretty obvious to me.

Did anyone in D2 save the replay from race 3 last night (first Nurb race)? I have all of them except for that one... If you have it, PM me, or upload it to Sugarsync, if possible.

Yes, I see what you are saying. The white line at the end is not the boundary.

Hillracing and I were playing with the wording a week back and this is what we have.

"All paved surfaces are track with the boundaries being the grass, kerbs, concrete or stone surfaces and the walls". The idea is to make it simple for everyone to remember and apply to most tracks. Either the while line is the boundary...or it isn't. Most people (working on defining the boundary) were wanting to ignore the white line.

Some tracks may still need more of an in depth review .

Unless d1 has some crazy different line, there is no practical reason to wait that far after the curbing ends to go that far out. I just ran that area a few times, and no matter how I took the corner, the farthest I could get was my front tires missing the curb, but the rest of my car went over. And that was far from the ideal line. So, as the rules state, going past that blue line with all 4 tires is a no go, but after the curb ends at that green area is fine, however, I don't know that there is a practical reason to do so, unless you're trying to force a pass, and then, it's going to be iffy because the grass will be coming up on you real fast.

Running that corner by yourself and then going through there side by side will yeild different results each and every time.
