Trust me when I say I understand. Have 4 kids at home, youngest is special needs, and the other 3 play competitive soccer year round. I have both a job and just started my own reno business. As soon as I even look at the PS3 my wife starts breaking my balls.

Good night, someone could give me the full standings of yesterday races? Thanks!

Hey Fabricio,

Here's our Google Doc Spreadsheet for the month of May. There's a few other sheets in there too ;)

kcheeb

EDIT: And speaking of the spreadsheet. I made a mistake last night when entering the results for D2. tcrash had sent me the results and all I needed to do was copy them over, seems it was too tall an order for me last night. All fixed up now, thanks nmcp1 for catching that 👍

And speaking of not having anyone to keep score during the night in D2 ... Who in D2 has a PC or Laptop they can use to keep live scores during Sunday nights races? We could use you :)

Hey SNAIL, why was i relegated back to D5 just because i took April off from GT5? Anyway, in D5 last night i won 3 races and grabbed 1 pole position and earned 91 points. And D5 is filled with very competent, respectful and clean drivers right now and i had a blast. So it's cool. I'll just work my way up thru the ranks the old fashioned way.
Keep up the good work guys!

Are you sure you took April off? The data from April 7th shows that you completed three races. Unfortunately in those three races, the times you put in ranked you dead last in the league in both fastest lap and total time. You can see the what I mean at the bottom of this tab.

That being said, kcheeb and I were quite surprised to see your name down there. Did something out-of-the-norm happen in those three races that we should know about? It takes us several hours to determine promotion and relegation each month and it would take us even longer if we didn't rely heavily on all the data at our disposal. However, the point of the process is to try to create competitive racing in each division, so if the data doesn't tell the true story of what happened, please let us know so that we can fix it. 👍

Attention S.N.A.I.L.s

Are you bored with Monday Night TV

Do you still need more racing to satisfy that GT itch.

Well it is not to late to come join the Cappers

I have even put together four cars you can race and they are all from the new car dealership:tup:

Honda CIVIC TYPE R (EK) '97 - 389

I think I am missing something.

I see Iroquois finishing (roughly) 8/9, 4/9, 6/9 - darned iPad... But not much else.

Dead last in the league?

How can you be "dead last" when you pull 4/9 in a race? In not D5...?

My 'I wonder...' Question is how to handle drivers who have not driven in 3+ weeks - we used to require 24 hrs notice - and considering auto relegate (or something unpalatable) for no show and no communication types?

Truly just relegating is not right, but I am guessing - really - there may be a math thingy that says racing a few races is worse than not racing at all... If so, I vote FOR someone who shows up sometimes, vs none (notification matters here, IMHO)...

The round that received the most elimination votes was:
ROUND 2 - Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG '10 @Nürburgring GP/D

Therefore the entire combo has been dropped from next week's line-up. Since iroquois-- wins Prize A, he gets to choose an entirely new car and track combo to replace it.

The round that received the second most votes was:
ROUND 1 - Chevrolet Camaro Z28 '69 @Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca

This means either the car or the track will be replaced for next week's line-up. Since GTP_Worst_Driver gets Prize B, he gets to decide which part of the combo is replaced and what replaces it.

Price C goes to Oshawa-Joe so he gets any gift car ticket listed here (by posting his selection here on the thread).

It wasn't a situation of auto relegate for no show or no race. His fast lap ranking was at or near the bottom of the league. Below most D5 drivers.

This made him the prime candidate to be relegated and he was.

As zer0 said, if we've made a mistake, and given the results, I'd say that's probable, we can rectify it.

Keep in mind we're going through roughly 80 drivers stats, fast lap, total time, points ... Sometimes things get missed :(

No worries, kcheeb.

You guys try new stuff, and if it is not right, you try to make it so.

I was only asking a I Wonder as I understand there may be "If Then..." things that affect numbers. No more than that.

Keep up the great work!

Big congrats to iroquois that dominated D5. Good job my man. You have been my best*passing manouver teacher as passing you always has been a mission :)

👍 was just 'splaining from our perspective. Hope I didn't have any 'tone' to my reply, none intended.

Questions are good :)

Laguna Saga also is my strong track.

I don't care for it, in that there are very few passing zones there. You get a good run on someone then you're out of room. It was the same with the Caterham too, so it's definitely not the car. It's a course of capitalizing on others' mistakes, not necessarily having the fastest laps (or car). IMO of course. I am by no means a professional driver. I'm sure Owens or Hill could give a more real race-experienced opinion of the passing difficulties at Seca; i.e. car vs. track.

Yea. I got really close to car in front of me and until he or she understeers or runs wide then I swoop inside. For me, every corner is a passing zone on that track.

Absolutely. I found myself running a micro second slower just to keep the inside protected. It was almost a subconscious action I think. And conversely, was doing exactly what you just said; look for inside opportunity on those corners. I think Seca is the toughest real world track to pass on as far as the RWTs (real world track) go on GT5, not including Monoco.

Okay! I'll do it! Send me the info on how to get started.:)👍

No doubt, in real life, that is one tough track. And brakes in real life would wear out as well.

I think passing there is all about the corkscrew. The corner before it, at the bottom of the hill, is quite challenging in most cars, so you can sometimes get a good run from there, and after that, it's all about how bravely you brake before the corkscrew, and whether or not you can hold a decent line through it.

LOL. Yeah, my luck is that my overtake is at the dip just before the screw, then keeping control thru the screw. So, I usually chicken out, play it safe and hope to get another run on the final straight before T1.

Prize B Alert

As bad as I want to take the Z28 to another track, I think zer0 made a typo on the results. I scored 83, not 87. I cannot, in good conscious, accept the prize B choice.
