I should be able to go through and clean up the Standings page this weekend. In the process of moving, and juggling work, so I will be scarce for a few weeks

Here are the unofficial results from our league night on September 29, 2024

Division 1
  1. Nic-KL ------------ voted to eliminate Round 2
  2. Xrad-11 ----------- voted to eliminate Round 1
  3. A_Mindful_Place --- voted to eliminate Round 1
  4. Kgffty ------------ did not submit a vote
Division 2
  1. Oshawa-Joe -------- voted to eliminate Round 3
  2. RacingChamp30 ----- voted to eliminate Round 3
  3. radliffpower ------ voted to eliminate Round 3
  4. JamCar0ne --------- voted to eliminate Round 2
  5. Canoworms1 -------- voted to eliminate Round 1 - Prize A
  6. Gurney_67 --------- did not submit a vote - Prize B
  7. cesarr64 ---------- did not submit a vote - Prize C
The round that received the most elimination votes was:
Round 1 - Toyota 2000GT '67 (SH) at Dragontrail International Raceway Seaside - S04 Late Morning (7 laps)
Therefore the entire combo has been dropped from next week's line-up. Since @CANOWORMS1 wins Prize A, they get to choose an entirely new car and track combo to replace it.

The round that received the second most elimination votes was:
Round 3 - Honda NSX GT500 '08 (RM) at Kyoto Driving Park Yamagiwa - S01 Early Morning (11 laps)
This means either the car or the track will be replaced for next week's line-up. Since @Gurney67 gets Prize B, they have the option to freeze the car or the track, or they can give that option to the Prize C winner. If they give the freeze away, then they get to decide what car or track replaces the part of the combo that is left unfrozen by the Prize C winner.

Prize C goes to @cesarr64 so they get whichever option the Prize B winner does not select.

Preliminary prize winners, please don't announce your prize selection until all incident reports have been filed and it has been confirmed that you don't have any penalties. It's also recommended that you review the SNAIL combo history and other data on our car and track history so that you can get an idea how many times we've raced each car and track. Please remember that originality is always appreciated, so picking cars and tracks that we've never raced is a plus (but not required). What's more important is that you thoroughly test any combo that you are considering before making it your official selection. For example, any car you select must not hit its rev limiter at any point during a race (even in the draft).

IMPORTANT: When posting your Prize A or Prize B selection, please list the complete in-game name of the car and/or track you are selecting. For example, if you want to choose the Integra Type R as your car selection, post "Honda Integra Type R (DC2) '98". If you want to select Monza for your track, post "Autodromo Nazionale Monza". Being specific helps us to update the lineup accurately and also helps avoid any confusion among the drivers. Also, please be sure to list the HP and Weight (LBS) of any car you select. For track selections, include the Preset Weather and the Time of the Day (e.g: S01 Afternoon) or else it will be left to default. Available settings can be found under Time/Weather Settings, when creating an online Lobby, after selecting your track.

This chat been too quiet recently so I'm reviving it by kicking off the weekly Car-Show.

You all know that I tie in a current or historical event into my Car-Show pics but I couldn't think of anything for today's pic until I was in my car this morning, listening to Buffalo Sports talk radio on WGR550. The morning show guys reminded me that my Buffalo Sabres are in Prague this weekend to kick off the NHL season with a couple games vs the Devils. Perfect!!!

I never cared much about Scapes before my time in Snail. But now when we get GT7 a update, I find a little joy in seeing where the new locations will be.

See you Sunday, or at Cocktails/Coffee & Combos

I'm back from my road trip. More details and photo below. For now, here goes my contribution to the @Buffalo_DRD weekly car show. I'll create the D1 thread for the October season shortly. Glad to be back on my sim rig even after driving 11 374 km (7067 miles for you americans) in 11 days.

I thought fitting to use the Bonneville Salt Flats scapes as I was there a couple of days ago.

I had to drive on the Salt Flats but didn't go fast as 1 the surface is quite rough, much more than I expected and 2 there was an event so access was restricted to the rest of the salt flats. Luckily, we went through a lot of rain on the way back to Canada and I throughly cleaned the underside of the car just to make sure there wasn't any salt left.

Part of the Beartooth Pass in Montana / Wyoming...right after my Mustang overheated because the fan died on the way up. 100% the most beautiful place to break down. Luckily we limped the car back down, added some coolant and drove 8 hours the next day to an Advance Auto Parts that had the fan in stock and changed it in the parking. Easy 1 hour job for two non mecanic guys.

I have to go back and drive the rest of it. It truly is breathtaking while being an absolute blast to drive.

Utah State Route 95 with the new fan. Car has been running like a champ after we changed the radiator fan.

A little stop along Million Dollar Highway in Colorado.

The last two photos are from Colorado State Route 92 between Gunnison river Dam and Maher. Holy **** this was the most fun I've ever had in my driving life. We ended up on that road by pure chance, seems like we had a lot of luck.
IMG_6281.jpeg

And we ended the trip with Pikes Peak on a monday Morning...meaning close to no traffic. Our luck struck again at the best possible moment.

All around epic trip, you guys down south know how to make beautiful and twisting roads along breathtaking scenery.
