D1 Replays shared.

I'd like to join the races this month. Can I be added to the active drivers list?

I would refer you to this post, specifically the part that is bold and underlined.

SNAIL Driver Status Policy
Any driver who has raced in more than half of the Sunday night events available to them will be considered full time active for the following season. i.e. 1 of 1, 2 of 2, 2 of 3, 3 of 3, 3 of 4, or 4 of 4.

Any driver who has raced in half or less of the Sunday night events available to them will be considered part time active for the following season. i.e. 1 of 2, 1 of 3, 1 of 4, 2 of 4.

Any driver who does not participate in any Sunday night events for two full seasons or their first partial season and one full season will be moved to the inactive list.

Any driver who, during a monthly season, misses enough nights that they can not reach full time active status for the following month may be moved to part time active status mid-month.

Any part time active driver who races in the first three Sunday night events in a month will be moved to full time active status for the fourth race of the monthly season.

Any new driver who joins in the middle of a season will be considered full time active then evaluated using the above criteria for each subsequent season.

Any driver who is currently considered to be inactive may become active at any time by reading the first post in the main thread and following the directions to join.

*Note: Any driver that has been banned from SNAIL Sunday night racing, either by the stewards or by the BoD is not considered to be a member of SNAIL in any capacity.

In the event that any division reaches capacity on a Sunday night, full time active drivers will have priority over any other classification of driver for filling spots on the grid during Sunday night races. Part time active drivers will be listed in order of priority for racing on Sunday night. The drivers list is also the priority list from top to bottom.

This list will be ordered using the following criteria:
1. Most to least amount of points scored in the current season. If tied move on to
2. Most to least points scored in the previous season.

If a room reaches capacity and a part time driver in that division wishes to race, they may move up one division and race that night. That driver will be scored in the higher division for that night. Any points earned in the higher division will not transfer to the lower division but the driver will be credited with racing that night for the purpose of full or part time status.

With only one division, any drivers that are not able to enter the Division 1 lobby may form an additional lobby. This lobby will not be scored but those who participate will be credited for racing that night.

We had a pretty good night yesterday in D1. 8 drivers, 9 when @socalnatv joined us.

Scoresheets for 2024.12.01 have been been copied to SNAIL Data.

Data Specialists have included data in the scoresheets, don't forget to claim your $hells. Scorekeepers, Replay Uploaders, and Hosts too! Never know when something cool will come up for sale in the Marketplace.

You betchyerass I'm claiming mine. Way to many folks at the top of this list that aren't active these days. And yes, you can go retroactive, just gotta get those verifiable post numbers. Everyone should pray JLBowler doesn't go get all his, or probably Akzl298 either.

I will be doing some troubleshooting with ChatGPT regarding the sort issues we've been having with the month sheet in SNAIL Data. Do not be alarmed if you take a peek at SNAIL Data and things are a little, blank, or otherwise wonky.

  2. DUB-L-DEE --------- voted to eliminate Round 2 - 88 (94.64 for Prize C)

The round that received the most elimination votes was:
Round 3 - Ford Mustang Gr.4 (RH) at Blue Moon Speedway - Infield A - S13 Twilight (13 laps)
Therefore the entire combo has been dropped from next week's line-up. Since @Oshawa-Joe wins Prize A, they get to choose an entirely new car and track combo to replace it.

The round that received the second most elimination votes was:
Round 1 - Nissan GT-R NISMO '17 (SS) at Autodrome Lago Maggiore - West - S04 Late Morning (11 laps)
This means either the car or the track will be replaced for next week's line-up. Since @Worst_Driver gets Prize B, they have the option to freeze the car or the track, or they can give that option to the Prize C winner. If they give the freeze away, then they get to decide what car or track replaces the part of the combo that is left unfrozen by the Prize C winner.

Prize C goes to @DublDee so they get whichever option the Prize B winner does not select.

Preliminary prize winners, please don't announce your prize selection until all incident reports have been filed and it has been confirmed that you don't have any penalties. It's also recommended that you review the SNAIL combo history and other data on our car and track history so that you can get an idea how many times we've raced each car and track. Please remember that originality is always appreciated, so picking cars and tracks that we've never raced is a plus (but not required). What's more important is that you thoroughly test any combo that you are considering before making it your official selection. For example, any car you select must not hit its rev limiter at any point during a race (even in the draft).

IMPORTANT: When posting your Prize A or Prize B selection, please list the complete in-game name of the car and/or track you are selecting. For example, if you want to choose the Integra Type R as your car selection, post "Honda Integra Type R (DC2) '98". If you want to select Monza for your track, post "Autodromo Nazionale Monza". Being specific helps us to update the lineup accurately and also helps avoid any confusion among the drivers. Also, please be sure to list the HP and Weight (LBS) of any car you select. For track selections, include the Preset Weather and the Time of the Day (e.g: S01 Afternoon) or else it will be left to default. Available settings can be found under Time/Weather Settings, when creating an online Lobby, after selecting your track.

Hey D2, I have prize A but need some creative guidance. Send me a msg with a recommended combo or post in the thread! I'm looking at something less than 200 hp, on a track that everyone would be familiar with, requiring less practice

Prize B: The GT-R is going to High Speed Ring, S02 Evening.
Mid div lap time: 1:15
@Dragonwhisky @Akzl298

We haven't raced HSR in its regular direction since September 2023 so here goes.

PS: I almost wanted to go to Northern Isle Speedway as we didn't race it since 2019 but decided not to get our VR guys dizzy.
Noob question here, how did you get « mid div lap time »? Where did it come from?

And, just like that;

In the case of Worst posting it, probably 2-4 seconds more than his time will be on race day.;)

On a more serious note, we try to base that on what our "mid-division" drivers will be able to run at that particular combo. That number sets the races laps so as not to exceed 16 minutes and 30 seconds total race time.

@Dragonwhisky put it clearly but its a rough estimate of the average lap time. I usually add 2-3 seconds to my lap.

All 3 combos locked in and ready by tuesday night, this must be a record.

@Oshawa-Joe I like your pick, we have three very different combos.
