Without being rude or suggesting people to press other buttons instead of the race one, i manage well the ability of accepting opinions different than mine just to say that, as everybody knows, I love battling other drivers, not my own bloody car!
Second, both the Gineta and the Ford are so freaking bad that for the first time in this practices I saw right in front of me awesome drivers like Dabneyd, Owens and Martin coming out of corners straight to the sand banks or grass areas aside the track!!!!
And as a final point, i really find amazing to see a guy like Harley Man getting cynical about other people's opinion about his unlucky choice as I remember him racing in BloodRedSky"s room and constantly complaining about Granturismo in general, our pp choices, the tires we wore, how bad the cars was, how bad the PSN was, how much everything sucked e-v-e-r-y-s-i-n-g-l-e-d-a-y he raced with us. I don't remember, ever, anyone, including me, telling him to go press the off button or any other one!!!

"It would have been nice to have some cheese and crackers to go along with all the whine last night at practice!"
Does this mean that A LOT of people agrees with my opinion?

I never said it was a great car, I said I got used to it and drove it accordingly. The Ginetta is very easy to overdrive and reacts poorly when yo do it.

I just didn't complain about it. I prefer more positive energy 👍

Hey Goat! No official announcement yet but Ryan Newman got the pole today with a 1:36.497!
My bad!!!! Sorry Goat!!!

I've gotta say that the DS3 guys have an advantage this weekend with the ginetta. Just doin laps with green thumb, he's getting high 1.03s. So I decided to pull out my controller and I'm now managing 1.03s too. Just showing that having complete control of the car in your palms is a big advantage sometimes.

Edit: two snails in D1

But the DS3 guys have some bad time too for a lots of week sometimes. I think its bad to always compare DS3 and Wheel. When we hear DS3 guys talk about your wheel advantage combo? . In D1 a lot of guys can do everything with the wheel. Do you really need to make DS3 guys look cheap. Do you try sometimes a good wheel combo with a DS3 for see if we have a weakness? Im not angry but I feel like cheap after racing with you.

I didn't mean it like that whatsoever... Sorry.

After some laps in the trans cam race, I was in second place following fastfox (I think it was him on the lead) and I was thinking to myself... "jeeez, i think I finally managed to ride this bastard.... 3 or 4 steady, cold chills free laps and I'm still here, right behind the leader and getting a good gap to the followers.... I think I'm going to attack first place and try to win this..." ...
As soon i finished this last thought, the car, unexpectedly, just understeers straight to the wall hitting it violently and killing right there any hopes of, at least, finish the race. In the exact same spot where, on the previous race, the same happened to Greenthumb and Martin20az.
I agree with Tex, experimenting new stuff is fun but this is a little too much.... for me at least.

Well guys I've heard about enough of the rude comments. So at this time I would like to inform you all that I no longer want to be a member of this league. Some of the people I have raced with in this leauge are super great guys, others I find to be very rude and self centered. Good luck with your racing. Time to move on.

Hey Harley,

I'd like to know more if you'd care to elaborate.

I take it personal when someone decides to leave publicly and if there's something I can change to make S.N.A.I.L. better , I'd like to try.

Cheers,

Kcheeb

Edit: oops, meant to be a pm. Feel free to pm me harley 👍

I, for one, am not hurt by this. Go spread your sand somewhere else.

Practice session with Vail, Tcrash, Drgreen, Xrad, DGA, Fastfox, Danger and whomever I missed in D1 was a blast tonight!

Thanks all!

The G4 is strangely fun to drive around Suzuka. I don't usually care for low HP cars at all, but this one is so controllably oversteery that it almost makes up for the lack. Getting the Transcammer through T1 at Grand Valley, fast, is just a thing of beauty and when it happens, it's an instant "O" face moment. I know, TMI. Get over it. ;)

Fixt. Sorry. :guilty: Old people and scotch = poor short term memory.

And yes, I'm gonna hate all over that fiber connection Fox has. GAWD, what was your ping and rates to effin' okinawa?

Don't say. I don't wanna see it on the outerwebz. Will only make me drink more and whine about my backwoods ISP.

Good luck, HarleyMan. I enjoyed running a few laps with you and TEX in the Ginetta.

I reread the comments and my only friendly suggestion is to get a slightly thicker skin.

There were about 6-7 semi-negative comments, including concerns about quality of racing. That is not directly criticizing your selection, it is expressing an opinion about the combination of the car and track.

There were almost as many positive comments, including guys who were saying they were pumped, looking forward to higher hp, etc. You very rightly pointed out the guidelines we publish for selections encourage novelty. Numerous others agreed with you.

I think you should just tune out the claptrap. Giving a novel choice to the squeaky wheel (yes, I am talking about you, Schmiggz) who loudly complains weekly about any cars that get repeated, demanding something high hp and new, then just whines and cries about it when someone gives it to him, isn't the full measure of a group's maturity. At least I hope not.

So HarleyMan, I hope you a smooth ride if you head out of town, or good luck on race day, whichever one you wish for.

Under the heading of "Novelty" ......... I think a fun and close-racing(?) choice would be the Fiat 500 1.2 8V Lounge SS '08 287 PP - 68 HP on Sports Hard at Autumn Ring Mini. Or any of the Fiat 500 cars, for that matter.

Sincerely hope someone chooses that Combo one of these days.
