Prize A Vote Notification
Just under an hour and a half left to vote.
The nomination period is now closed. Thank you to everyone in D6 that suggested a Prize A combo.

The deadline to cast a vote is 5:30 PM Eastern Time today.

The list below is what was submitted.

1. KTM XBow Street @ Laguna Seca

2. Amuse Nismo 380RS Super Leggera @ Trial Mountain Reverse

3. BMW M5 ’05 @ Spa Francorchamps

4. Ford RS200 ’84 @ Matterhorn Rotenboden

5. Audi R8 5.2 FSI Quattro @ Willow Springs International

6. RUF RGT ’00 @ Circuito de Madrid Reverse

7. Shelby Cobra 427 S/R Chrome Line @ Circuito de Madrid

When voting, please make a dedicated post for your vote and use either the number you are voting for or the full name of the combo. You do not need to quote this post when casting your vote.

Please do not vote if you didn't race on Sunday night.

Please do not vote if you raced in D6 Sunday night. Your suggestion was your vote. If you didn't make a suggestion, you missed your chance to contribute to Prize A.

Please do not post a running total of the votes in the thread. If someone wants to know the totals before they cast their vote, let them do the leg work. We want people to vote for what they want to race, not a front runner or an attempt to have a combo catch up. I will be quoting this post throughout the day on Thursday to remind people of what is going on.

We just don't use race cars as often as road cars, but I would like to. I just thought people frowned upon them so I didn't pick one.
next time follow your heart...I did but my submission missed the cut off so I never made the list....wife's horse had colic ( was trying to die) and I ended up walking it around for hours ( if it laid down it was most likely a goner)....missed both another leagues race and probably the only time I will ever get to contribute to a prize A anything. Love horses. Ah the problems in the lifelong reality show.

You have to split it even further. It's all DLC. Downloadable Content is any content that is downloaded. This is where the split comes in. There is paid DLC which GT6 does not have and there is free add on DLC which GT6 has plenty of. In the case of GT6, the add on DLC is additional content that is being added to the game free of charge by PD. Some of this content is added directly to the players garage and some still has to be earned or purchased with in game credits. The only reason this content is mandatory to download is that you must have the current version of the game to play online. This doesn't mean that patches and free add on items are not DLC. They are just not paid for.

For anything that has to be earned or purchased with in game credits, the credit cap will apply. The bottom line is that you have to be able to obtain the car right now for 1 million in game credits or less and winning it doesn't count because it's no guarantee that everyone can win it.

I beg to differ.

From the GT6 Manual;

In Gran Turismo 6, you can download items and credits to use in-game. This is referred to as downloadable content (DLC). Some DLC costs money.

DLC is purchased and downloaded from the GT Store, accessible via the "My Home" screen. For details, please see the My Home -> GT Store section of this manual.

In order to purchase and download DLC, you need to be signed in to PlayStation®Network. Please be aware that DLC sales may be suspended or discontinued without warning.

I don't recall any of the cars, tracks, gear, paints or parts, being made available through the Store. Nothing but silly credit purchase options.

Well, my curiosity is now sufficiently piqued :mischievous:

Sadly, I don't know Japanese. But in a pinch I might be able to find someone that can translate it to/from English. Mandarin would actually be easier, strangely enough. If you get no responses, let me know and I'll put out some feelers.

Edit: I'm going to be traveling all day, so I may not respond to anything until Friday.

I can do mandarin/ Chinese too. that's where I'm from lol.
