The solution at this point is to practice, at least 30+ laps, and be very careful trying to make a pass during a race. The front grip is greatly reduced following in slip stream.

We ran this race a couple years back, almost an hour long and zero problems. Granted it was folks choice to enter. However it was very fun and rewarding.

Could it be possible to allow Racing Softs for this combo? That will help out drastically.

As for picks, I always was understanding the winner can choose what he wants. While it would be nice to consider others that is not requirement.

Chastising a person over his pick also seems rather wrong. Please stop and consider how this makes said person feel.

My pick is Sebastian Vettel.

I'm going on for an hour. Anyone want to practice Combo #3?

Practice done.

Avoid having several drivers ahead of you crashing and tying up the field.

Happy Independance Day to my southern neighbours!

'Murica. 'Nuff said. Speaking of which I may not be able to race this weekend. Special 4th of July weekend plans that begin today. Hopefully I can get home in time to race but as of right now I don't know.

Can't we all just get along;) Said on the day we got rid of the Oppressive Brits.

Anyway...

I totally agree that the prize winners should be able to choose what they want and not get chastised for it.

That being said I know that the prizes I have chosen that lasted many weeks were much more rewarding for both me and the group as a whole than my one and done choice (why no love for the TVR Speed 12). But ultimately that is just my opinion.

SNAIL works not because of the individuals, it works because many people put the leagues needs above their own. This is why SNAIL is so great and continues to grow.

I do wonder if there could be a High Power SNAIL division for those that love the cars with serious horse power. It might allow for their fix to be filled while keeping those of us who love the ordinary road cars happy also. I know that what drew me to SNAIL was seeing real non-tuned cars being driven as opposed to all the other series that seemed to only running race cars. Just my $.02

Happy 4th everyone. Be safe.

p.s. I am a mock Brit so when in England I celebrate the getting rid of the American Problem Day

Each finalist will entered into a raffle in which one of one hundred numbers will be "randomly" picked. The number range will be 00 to 99. The number listed next to each finalists name represents the number of "picks" that each finalist gets. There can obviously only be a total of one hundred picks made, so the total number of picks awarded to all of the finalists equals exactly one hundred. And as you have probably noticed, the more GranStand points each finalist earned, the more picks they get and the better chance they have to win. 👍

All of the finalists will be receiving a PM from me at exactly 3pm Eastern / noon Pacific that will provide detailed instructions on how to pick your numbers. You will be required to post your picks on the thead, but please do not post your picks before you read my PM.

As I hinted last night, we'll be using this Sunday's German Grand Prix to determine our winner. The last two digits of the DHL Fastest Lap Award for the race will be the winning number. For example, if the if the fastest lap during the race is 1:34.305 , then the finalist who picked 05 would be the winner of the GranStand Challenge!

Good luck to all of you!! :gtpflag:

1:17.7 at Cote. I have a feeling that won't matter much considering I was by myself on the track. Driving the F10 around there reminds me of the game Operation. "Don't touch the sides!"
