I,ve been trying to say this over and over and over again and it's really annoying the crap outta me now!!!! We keep repeating the same low profile cars and keep forgetting really sports supercars and i'm starting getting fed up with this. No Ferraris, no GTR's, no Lambos, LFA's, Jaguar's, Aston Martin's???? What the hell???
We raced this exact Mazda not long ago, for christ sakes!
I've been respecting price winner options since ever but... seriously!!!! Can we race real cars???

As long as the cars selected make good racing I don't care what they are. I do prefer some of the sportier cars, but if you pic a production car that is too fast you often see a lot more incidents on the track, which makes for worse racing. The Mazda RX-7 is widely considered a "super-car", in this case it is just a older super car.

hey schmiggs. Win a night, then you can pick any car you want.
+1

I don't mean to be rude or anything or to put any pressure on anyone but i think that it should be a new rule on car option making sure that the chosen car wasn't used in the past 6 months or something like that, or at least encourage prize winners to choose from a list of really good machines that haven't been around from more than six months or even never been around.

Rallywagon, if you win one i promise you i'll win the next, eheheheheh

Once we have his choice lets get some pics so I can do the lineup images. I totally forgot to do it last week:dunce:

Everyone please remember to feed jobyone! He's hungry for pictures! Goat's got us started. Anyone else? :D

I am guessing D1 will be around 1:00, maybe less, so a guess of 10-11 laps for the RX-7 at Madrid Mini/Reverse.

The S2000 at Suzuka will probably be around 2:00 (maybe a smidge over 2:00), so likely 5 laps.

Thanks Handlebar! Got your lap estimates posted in the new lineup. 👍

is this where I sign up

Hi ONESPACE,

Thanks for your interest!
We would love to have you in the league. Here's what you need to know and do in order to join:

We run a clean league by enforcing a strict penalty system based on the S.N.A.I.L. OLR (which is a modified version of the GTP OLR). We also expect all of our drivers to know and follow The Good Racecraft Guide.
Please become versed in both if you aren't already. Once that is complete, please follow the steps below to complete your entry into the league:

1. You run the Time Trial. (NOTE: The tires selected for this have more grip than our current tire regulations allow, but please follow the directions exactly anyways).
2. You PM kcheeb with your time from the time trial (no Sunday racing until this is completed).
3. We assign you to the division that we feel will give you the closest competition. kcheeb will add you to the drivers list.
4. We send you a you a PSN friend request from the corresponding SNAIL_Division1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 account. That PSN account's lounge is where you will race on Sunday night.
5. You drive fast and clean on Sunday 👍

The original post has everything you need to know about what to expect on Sunday night and what you will need to have completed in order to be competitive. If you have any questions, please feel free to post your question on the thread.

Please note that we often race DLC from three add-on packs:

Racing Car Pack
Course Pack
Twin Ring Motegi Pack

If you don't have these add-on packs, you will need to sit out the races in which they are used.

If you have a preference for car/wheel colour and racing number, please follow the instruction contained here.
To avoid duplication, the currently claimed combinations can be found here.

During the week we run a number of different events, we encourage all SNAILs to join as many as possible.

Welcome to S.N.A.I.L.

Nothing wrong with slower cars, especially at a tighter track like Madrid. I think lower powered cars leads to more side by side and closer racing in many cases. But maybe that's just me.

Schmiggz. I see your point but also see the other side. I would rather race a good car again than a crap one for the first time. That being said there are still some great cars that have never been used. But ultimately the winner should be able to choose what he wants.

If you want to run the cars you like come join us again in the Performance Cap Racing. Its getting really good. We are approaching a full grid. This weeks PP is 2000 so you can run cars from 450-550PP. Plenty of awesome cars to choose from.

Honestly, what bugs me it's not even the type of car it gets chosen but repeating it in a short period of time and after a quick research i noticed that in the past 12 months, aproximately 48 sundays, we raced:
Chevrolet Camaro RM 69' - 2 times
Lotus Elise RM 90 - 2 times
Honda Integra RM 94 - 2 times
Acura NSX RM 91 - 3 times
Mazda RX7 GT X 90 - 2nd time now
Catheram Seven - 2 times
Kart 125 - 2 times
Camaro RM 10 - 2 times

By the other hand:
Ferrari F430 - 0
Aston Martin V12 Vantage - 0
Ferrari 599 - 0
Citroen GT - 0
RUF RGT - 0
VW Nardo - 0
Cadillac Cien - 0
Lamborghini Aventador - 0

so on... and so on...

PS: Rally... I'm not letting that happen... Uuaaaaahahahahahahahah

I'm definitely someone that would love to see some fast super cars racing around a track like high speed ring or something like that, but those cars are usually one and done combos, the problem with them is that they don't provide the closest racing. I remember when we had a tvr at High speed ring and the race wasn't close. I'd definitely like to see some fast cars, but I don't want to be running laps by myself for ten minutes.

I'm in agreement with zegrated and dangerzone on this - super fast cars are not inherently great for close quarters racing. Yes, they can go super fast, they can pass super fast, but they crash super fast and get into trouble and end up running on their lonesome super fast as well.

Schmiggz,

Several of those cars are not an option (Aventador, v12 Vantage) because they are DLC. The Ruf, Nardo, Cien are all standards so could only be chosen if they are in the OCD that week.

Also, Is your data scewed a bit? How many of those cars got picked twice, and how many were not voted off?

I will come by inna few, DrGreenthumb.

We need one (or more) sets of eyes in the Stewards Forum to wrap up the complaints.

I'd like to see some higher powered cars and few more high powered race cars make their way into the line up as well.

No complaints about the picks. Just stating my personal wants and desires. :)

Rally, do I need a specific car for Friday for the football thing? Also, if we actually do some touge, will it be 1v1 or collective, and will tuning be prohibited like on Sundays?

I'm on the other side. There's a good reason the fastest cars don't often get picked; no one wants to be responsible for a one and done combo. That and slower cars tend to make closer racing. I know I'm not alone in thinking I'd rather be racing the other drivers than fighting the car.

Rallywagon, some of the cars i mentioned stood for 3/4 weeks.
Joby, i don't understand the DLC issue... Spa and Montegi are also DLC and we've been racing there. And yes, i will return to the pp cap for the next event :)
Regarding the closer field with slower cars, well, i can only speak for D3 where, no matter what cars we're using, we're always on eachothers tales.

PS... management... i'm almost reaching my first anniversary, correct? I think my first snail appearance was at the end of july 2012.

EDIT: Yes, my first race here was July 29, 2012. The combos was the Honda S2000, BMW M3 coupe and the Lambo Gallardo :)

i maybe be an exception but i picked the kart knowing it was gonna be 1 and done. i felt like i earned the right to pick what i wanted and even picking a track that was never picked didnt help.

also as a driver i show up and run whats required if thats fiats ferraris or grocery karts. if it has 4 wheels im gonna push to go as fast as i can no matter if its 100pp or 1000pp

If it makes you feel any better schmiggz I practiced hard last week so I could get a prize and pick a car never seen before in snail competition. Then the game reminded me how crappy the servers are...

Here is one for the OP if you choose.

1557 hp is just right.
Shmiggz, we are running 821HP next week in open–wheel shoot out. The F2007!
