With this is mind (I also have it pre-ordered) what will be the plan for Dec / January as far as formal racing.

We ought to be thinking ahead.... 3 months will pass by quickly.

Possibly some test races to play with room settings and learn the new features during the month of December and then a full schedule starting the first Sunday in Jan. 2014. New year, new game.

We've discussed this before and at this point setting an absolute date is not possible. Just not enough information, yet.

We'll likely end up polling S.N.A.I.L.s after GT6 goes live and when we hit a critical mass, we'll make the switch.

There's a pretty good chance some of the during the week series will jump to GT6 before the Sunday races do. That will also be a good gauge for us to help make a decision.

I can see the first Sunday in 2014 being a potential date for the cut over, but again we'll know more as we get closer to launch date. And it won't be a secret, I'm sure there will be lots of discussion about it

I actually prefer the idea of setting a target date in advance. That would give everyone plenty of notice and of course we've provide plenty of reminders! Bowler's suggestion of the first Sunday in January seems pretty spot on to me. That would give enough time for those of us that strike out on Christmas morning about a week and a half to dry their tears and buy GT6 on their own.

Another suggestion would be to have one person oversee SNAIL on GT6 and someone else continue to oversee it on GT5. It would probably require division restructuring.

This is something that I feared having to do if GT6 launched on the PS4. Fortunately for our league's multi-division format, it's staying on the PS3 and that should save us a huge logistical and time-draining nightmare (as long as we manage the transition well). The way I see it, this league is switching to GT6 one way or another. I would hate to lose members who want to keep playing GT5 instead, but I don't plan spending any time managing a group of drivers that will inevitably get smaller and smaller and then fade away completely in short order. However, if anyone of you doesn't plan on picking up GT6 by January and wants to volunteer to manage a GT5 division for us, I'm all ears!
