Again. I want to apologize to d3 for pretty much quitting halfway through. Due to all the beer I drank at the crawfish boil I was at before coming home, I felt sick and racing wasn't helping.

Beer and crawfish. 👍 Too much beer and crawfish. 👎

I'd like to point out something to some of the newer guys *couch* Exo *cough*. During qualifying, when you first get on track and doing your "tire warmer" lap, give way to all other racers already on track. If you spun during a hot lap, hit a wall, went off, anything at all that makes you think your not going to beat your best time, give way to all other racers on the track. Let me clarify "give way". as soon as your speed is scrubbed, look behind you make sure your not in anyones way. then check the map to see if anyone is going to catch you within the next few corners. If either or both of these conditions are true, pull off the racing line, IE, before a corner, drop to the bottom of the course, if for some reason your in a corner, go to the top and hold the top line, even going off course if needed. if your not on a hot lap, do not enter a corner in front of someone. In a safe manner, either drop down and slow enough that the driver behind is able to pass before entering the corner, or even pull off course and wait for them to pass. Do everything in your power not to mess up another racers hot lap. Remember this is qualifying, not racing. You shouldn't be door to door with anyone. If someone has caught up to you, then give way to them, they caught you, so your probably not faster.
That is all, thank you for your time, and you may resume your regularly scheduled programing.
*steps off soap box*

Awe nuts!! Here again showing how green I am. Man I am SO sorry about that... It just never occurred to me that I was roaching everyone's hot laps:guilty: I am trying to learn all that I can as fast as I can but I still keep making dopey mistakes. (I am still looking for the "Caution! Student Driver" mod for my cars!) I am trying to free up another night or two so I can race (and learn) more.

Hey Exo, don't get too down on yourself about this. We all started somewhere :)

For qualifying, stay out of everyone's way on your out lap, in lap or if you messed up and the lap time will be moot. It doesn't necessarily mean slow down, just if someone is catching you, get off the racing line.

Try to keep spaced out for qualifying too, it's best to leave room in front, so if you start putting alien times, you have space to drive to.

Anyone else feel free to chime in on 'best practices' for qualifying :)

Here are the preliminary results from our league night on April 22nd, 2012. The on-track racing with phenomenal, but PSN issues caused some connection problems for drivers in all three divisions.

Please note that all drivers have until Monday night to file a complaint against another driver. Click here to see the new process that needs to followed. If you were the victim of anyone breaking the GTP OLR rules, it is your duty to report the incident. Not doing so will only encourage the same type of driving in the future. Please do not let flagrantly dirty driving "slide" or give someone a "pass". For the long-term benefit of the league, please address the issue following the complaint process. It is also linked in the original post under the 'Rules' section.

The round that received the most elimination votes was:
Round 1 - Honda S2000 '06 @Deep Forest Raceway / Reverse
Therefore it has been dropped from next week's line-up. Since ??? selected Prize A, she gets to decide which car and track will replace it.

The round that received the second most votes was:
Round 3 - Amuse NISMO 380RS Super Leggera @Suzuka
Therefore, either the car or the track will be replaced for next week's line-up. Since ??? got Prize B, he gets to decide which is replaced and what replaces it.

??? selected Prize C, so he gets any car he wants (up to $999,999).

Questions:

* Where are the points listed?
* Can the points get posted with these result?
(I have another concern regarding the current point system that might be best talked about online or in a PM rather than publicly)
* Is a DLC track a legal pick this time?

Update to Monday Mayhem!!!!

bring your rally cars for the first hour, its dirty vote! second hour will be everyone's favorite, Cat and Mouse! Be there or Be

Hey Exo, You did fine. Learn from your mistakes, we all made them. When I first started I dropped below the yellow line for a draft pass on Zero at the Daytona Road Course. I was just looking for the safest pass. It didn't register not to go below the yellow line. Doh! Well Zero, was protecting the low pass with the yellow line. If I remember correctly we both crashed in the debacle. You're do'in great. So just keep on keep'n on!

Heheh! Thanks guys! Some may see this a "just a game" and on some levels it is, but it sure don't feel that way come Sunday night!! I am too old and broken down to race for real anymore but I still have the need for that competition. I really respect what the SNAILs stand for and really want to adhere to the rules to the best of my ability.... and beeeeeeeeer!!!:)

Suggestion: Change start to grid with false start check? I always like racing with that setting because its more realistic and makes drivers concentrate on starts more. Just putting it out there..

It can also lead to real clusters if someone nearer to the front jumps and get the penalty.

1) The points will be listed in the public result Google Doc Spreadsheet, once the results are finalized.

2) They could, but I'm thinking they won't to help keep data entry to a dull roar :) For access to points, see 1 :)

3) I would have to say no to the DLC track. The only way we could do this is if everyone has the DLC. We'd also have to make DLC a requirement of joining the league. I'm not sure we want to do that as we'd be limiting the number of people we could enlist. I'm open to discussion on this, I love SPA :)

I have no problem with DLC, but I defer to the Mighty Cipher on those issues.

I agree, soaking in the hot water next my girl, with a drink in hand is Great!

Oh.....you mean the track......I agree too =)

And it looks like Zero's got a few questions to answer when he gets on.

I am getting old.

I was thinking how good my back and knees would feel, but I would trade (in theory)' Mopar!
