I did a little rough cost comparision. Here's a pic of the sheet.

How many more of us would have considered buying credits with the 10% pricing? So far as I'm concerned, that's where it should have been. I would have considered tossing one or three Lincolns at this but would not ever consider a Grant.

I went to the Recommended Cars and bought all of them while in .??-Landia, plus all the other faves I had.

I figure if PD does some sort of selling cap, may as well have a variety of hardware!

A funny bug - I thought I was going to get Suzuka in reverse for the One Make Civic race.

I wonder.. Instead of Cat & Mouse, could you play Tag at the Willow Springs track? Maybe let the target get a Rally Car with dirt tires? Kei cars vs some of the Subaru or Evos? Make the open fields into an open playground?

I am liking the smaller, older cars quite a bit. With improved physics, especially!

I really with the Max PP could change based on how hard you want the challenge to be. I largely ignore it and figure out the competition and go there - sometimes it has been 120-140 less than maximum allowed.

Depends on the track. Some tracks we use the same gearing for. Others require different gearing. So, in answer to your question, yes.

Yeah, I talked about the exploit, but I didn't detail it. I am sorta surprised though, wasn't duping an exploit? Its not like hacking a game save file like modders where doing. To me its no different then the b-spec grinder, duping or share glitching. Those were all exploits of the game dynamics. No different then this. Maybe PD is coming down on everyone, IDK.
Interestingly, I was before able to findsome videos doing a search yesterday, now, I can only find one post of a glitch, and that is really vague and links to a video that is no long up on youtube.

NVM, I was using bing, did the same search on google and found lots of stuff on it.

Well I do thank you all for the help on that "issue". I only did one round of 20 and I'm set for life with 17 '69 GTs in the garage and 20mil in the bank. I'm not a collector though...I only operate on fewer than 200 cars.

Me happy today...was up til 4am but it was worth it.

It's not PD doing the smacking. It's GTPlanet mods enforcing the AUP.

Well, thats what I mean, we were free to talk about and document the steps to dupe, and to share glitch. What makes this different? No one is hacking a saved game, which is what got the modders threads shut down. Just reverting back to the original game data. Just makes no sense.

FWIW, one of the first prizes you get is the Junior Kart in GT6. This is like normal SNAIL racing with the exception that allows transmission customization. Info on gearing is freely shared, so no need to be worried if you have not tried it before.

Karting and a G27 wheel have significantly helped my driving!

We used the first Willow Springs - kind of a few early left/rights up the hill, slalom down, and loop back to the finish.

I am enjoying the series. One of the two guys who annoyed me ("Mr. Temper Tantrum" and "The ConeSlayer") is gone.

For a reality series, it has been more enjoyable than I expected - and I knew I would root for some participants from the get-go, but the pacing and chosen narrative has been engaging. I really hope it was a generally positive experience for those that had the chance.

I look forward to the conclusion of the GT Academy series, and then getting memoirs from the skillful guys who earned a shot at the event.
