I managed a 2:07.5xx and I was shifting as close to 8k as I could hear it. Perhaps even shifting a bit earlier than 8k will get a bit more torques out of it and quicker acceleration. Something else I've noticed with some cars equipped with a turbo is, the boost falls off the farther into the RPM range you go so short shifting a turbo may even be a general rule to go by. The AEM doesn't suffer a huge falloff but it does reduce boost some as you run up the engine. I'm sure some of the real motor heads can explain or refute this better than I.
Dang dragon! Was that in an online room or in single player mode?

The AEM peak at 6600 and falls off quickly... Don't go past 7300 (Gear steps are really good anyway).

To keep it from spinning you can take every corners up one gear 3->4...The car has plenty of torque from 5k.

Haven't had many reply. Have checked the Messages ever so often.

I wouldn't imagine there will be many replies. Once they accept the FR on PSN it is a done deal. If you scroll to the bottom of your friends list you will see who has yet to accept. If they fail before the bewitching hour, it will be a bummer for them as I think tonight is going to be a lot of fun!!

EDIT: Except maybe the Rocket... I have still not figured out the limits of the car (and my nerves) and I am still way too timid in the first corner!

IMPORTANT!

To those who are in Division 1, You have a waiting friends request and have until 9:00pm EST/6:00PM PST to accept them. At 9:05PM EST/6:05PM PST I will be opening the D1 race lobby.
We will be in a freinds only room and I will be sitting @ the XMB menu until 9:00PM. I will not back out of the lobby to accept friends due to PSN acting flaky sometimes.

I have put well over 20+ laps in at suzaka in the AEM practicing for tonights races and I honestly dont see how we are going to be able to race with the AEM s2000 because first off its a drift car and tuned for drifting. You cant keep the cars backend from underneath you it steps out. Im used to suzuka and love the track but with this car I dont see it being a clean race tonight plus im not used to drifting and im on a wheel. I think we should just use the 06 s2000 you might seriously consider it because these drift cars arnt made for grip racing especially for suzuka I think we will have cars and drivers all over the track it shouldn't take 20 some practice laps to set a hot lap. but with multiple cars on the track with same issues it will just be a headache
I think I found your problem. " You cant keep the cars backend from underneath you it steps out."
You will want to keep the car under you, not keep it from underneath the car.
Joking aside though. I find it humorous that when cars grip, people gripe about having to much, then when its gone, people gripe about being to slippery. The car is just fine. I love the car and enjoyed the few runs I've had with people during practice. I think it is important to consider the fact that you are in a spec league that has a new combo every week, and the possibility of two new cars a week. You are going to run into a car that isn't the style you like. That's the nature of it. Don't be afraid, embrace the strange. Pick up some tricks to add to the tool bag. Looking at it with angst and trepidation will only blind you to the new experience. Besides, it won't be around for ever. Or long by the sounds of it...

Getting a room is full message trying to join, restarting ps3 and trying again.

Nooooo ...

Only shows 4 on my screen

OK, restarted, cleared cache and still getting room is full... Any ideas?

I'm not sure, if you know how, you could put your PS3 in the DMZ of your modem. No guarantees, it helped me with connection issues.

Issue Fixed. Next week we will be in a friends only. So hopefully everyone will be on eat others friends list.. My ps3 is weird I have to be at the XMB for it to refresh friends list @fizzer
