You and I have been racing together for a long time and you know I'm better than the way I've been racing lately:yuck:

I'm aware of that fact. You're going to miss the month long war in D2. You know you've got an evenly matched group when the winner for the month doesn't win a single race all month. We have ourselves a pretty tight logjam between D2 down to about D4. It makes for some great racing.

I do plan on joining you in D2, shortly:sly: I look forward to racing with the awesome racers in D3:tup:

Saw this on Reddit this morning, thought you guys would enjoy it.

I think that was all caused by being in a car that didn't support the clutch

Maybe. I seem to remember you swapping out to a G27 because the fanatec rig wasn't working. You saying it was because you were trying to drive a car that didn't support the clutch?

If I'm going to be score keeper for D8 I need access to the directors' Google Docs. I also need to know if it can be done from an Ipad.

I was in the Honda S800 Race car and the clutch wouldn't work, no response. Then when I swapped the whole rig out for the G27, same response. Then I started thinking it was the pedal set, til I saw @Chiochan note saying the car doesn't support the clutch

I've got the Fanatec set up back in so I'll test with a car I know works with the clutch

I thought you had been given access to the directors doc wvhellbilly? Let me check, I'll get back to you shortly. As to working on the IPad, I would assume so, but you know about assumptions ;)

@wvhellbilly do you have a gmail account or should I grant permission to the email account you submitted with your time trial?

Do it through the email that you already have.

Scorekeeping on an iPad would be really tedious IMO, unless you maybe have a bluetooth keyboard or something. Even then, Google Docs doesn't work perfectly with an iPad, it's MUCH quicker to do it with a laptop. YMMV though

I don't have a choice right now. My laptop is having power source issues. I'm trying to get them sorted out, but it may not be worth the trouble.

The Grid Glitch:
Here's the examples of what I was talking about how the host gets put way way back on the grid...
https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/thre...lace-reservations.293390/page-42#post-9314568
As far as I know this ONLY happens without the "race qualifier" setting, and when it's RGO grid order setting for the first race. (Though I haven't tested it for fastest first or slowest first or fastest last race grid order... only with Reverse Grid Order.)
If anyone has experienced this with a setting other than Reverse Grid Order for the first race of a lobby, I'd like to know about it. Thank you!!

In my practice lobbies I always run no qualifier, reverse grid order. I've never had this happen to me before.

I plan on making it, but I will probably be late due to starting my shift at 3est. Should in theory be back in time so count me in.

I would love to join :)
@Megalodon,
Thanks for your interest! You'll find SNAIL is something to really sink your teeth in.
We would love to have you in the league. Here's what you need to know and do in order to join:

We run a clean league by enforcing a strict penalty system based on the S.N.A.I.L. OLR (which is a modified version of the GTP OLR). We also expect all of our drivers to know and follow The Good Racecraft Guide.
Please become versed in both if you aren't already. Once that is complete, please follow the steps below to complete your entry into the league:

1. You take the S.N.A.I.L. OLR and Racecraft Test

2. You run the Time Trial and submit your information by midnight EST on Saturday night if you want to race this Sunday.

3. @JLBowler PM's you with your assigned Division that we feel will give you the closest competition. You will be added to the drivers list.

4. The Race Director or Primary Host from the corresponding SNAIL Division will send you a PSN friend request. Sunday night you will need to sort the online lobbies by friends and join the lobby named 'snailracing.org Division_(x) based off your Division placement from JLBowler. That lobby will be where you race Sunday.

5. You drive fast and clean on Sunday 👍

The original post has everything you need to know about what to expect on Sunday night and what you will need to have completed in order to be competitive. If you have any questions, please feel free to post your question on the thread.

If you have a preference for car/wheel colour and racing number, please follow the instruction contained here.
To avoid duplication, the currently claimed combinations can be found here.

During the week we run a number of different events, we encourage all SNAILs to join as many as possible.

Welcome to S.N.A.I.L.
