Just a quick reminder that D6 will be a "Friends Only" room for Sunday night's racing.

As of this post everyone who is in D6 has accepted my friend request, or the invite is in your PSN mailbox. You need to accept this request before 8:45 pm Sunday.

@monarchydesign - accepted!

Make sure you have accepted FR From HandlebarMustash (I know 1-2 of you have, but I am not at my PS3)...

@The Engineer
@unitedstomper
@Azure Flare
@kanwingshing
@Pifachu
@jamilla

As update I will be unable to make tonights grid :(. I have somethings going on with family in town that I was told about last minute. I do appologize.

Dear senior management, I would like to know since I can't get that information anywhere, who's the sub-director, replays uploader and data entry specialist on D4.

Dear D4 participants, I would like to remind those of you who don't have me on your friends list to send the FR as our room is going to be "friends only" and without me on your list you will find the gates to the tracks closed tonight.

The deadline for time trial submissions to race this Sunday night has passed. All divisions are set for racing Sunday night.

Division directors, please take note of the full time drivers and part time drivers as listed on the driver's list. Full time drivers are guaranteed entry to their assigned division. If your room reaches capacity, the part time drivers are listed based on priority. First on the list gets in. If you have 12 full time drivers and 5 part time drivers and they all attempt to get into the room, the host will need to make sure that the 12 full time drivers are in and the first four part time drivers on the list are in. The fifth part time driver in this example would need to enter the next division up for the night. Under no circumstances should a driver race in a division lower than they are assigned.

As a driver, look at the drivers list and if you are a part time driver and are 17 or lower on the list for your division, you will want to get a friend request taken care of with the next division up just in case.

Driver's list can be found here: https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/threads/◆-s-n-a-i-l-spec-racing-for-all-skill-levels-presented-by-allen-berg-racing-schools-spots-open.235094/page-1483#post-9199361

Greetings Directors...
So, as I part time driver.... if my D gets full then I should head to next division down and so on until I find a place?

Secondly, my schedule has stabilized, so how do I get bumped up to a regular driver?

Next division up, not down. JLBowler posted on regular status on Feb 1 - bet there is a link on Driver's List or page 1.

Welcome back!

You never move down a division. You can only move up. In your case, being in D3, it's really not an issue right now as there are 16 drivers between the full and part time. In order to be a full time driver, you just need to show up and race 3 or more times in a monthly season and you will be full time for the next month.

The entire policy is laid our here: https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/thre...ools-spots-open.235094/page-1551#post-9274667

Thanks for clarifying! I just noticed that there are 11 regular drivers so it should not be an issue tonight. Hoping to have a strong February season!

Good luck, @DrKronin - I remember some of those ice storms with a solid 1/2" to 3/4" sheet on everything. Pine needles, every branch, stem, powerline. A cubic yard of water is around a ton, and while ice is less dense, thick ice really pulls stuff down.

That amount of solid ice gets so heavy and the sound of some of the trees that snapped a day or two later was louder than a shotgun. I think the only time I even heard about ice storms like that was one in Eastern Canada, maybe 10 years ago, I think. Rough stuff.

Indeed. Yesterday, there was at least half an inch on every tree branch. I went outside late last night and I could hear snapping trees every few seconds. There's a car next door that got hit by three different branches. Scary stuff.

I think we're over the worst of it now, as the ice has melted a bit and we're supposed to get up over 40 degrees today.

Sending a FR now...

Wow...I can't imagine how that kind of weather must be like. I live in Trinidad & Tobago...an island in the caribbean. It's scorching hot right now!

Fwiw, I've firmed up my colours as Scotia White body, with GT Chrome 015 red wheels. I tried to update the G.docs spreadsheet via the form, but it didn't take.
I'll double check the sheet, but I'm willing to bet that its just Google doc sucking at life. I'll manually enter in your info for ya thou.
Just a heads-up in case I don't show up tomorrow: We've had a big bout of freezing rain and trees are going down all over the city. We still have power, but much of the city doesn't and they're telling us to be prepared to be without it until Monday even though we still have it now. Crossing my fingers.
good luck to ya. Hopefully the elec. co. doesn't cut off the power to fix it, and forget like they did too us in Dec. We lucked out on trees. The only one that fell in our yard managed to fall right between our gate and post, so nothing got seriously damaged. Wasn't the case else where though. Branches fell on cars and trees on houses. It sounds so cool though. The ice constantly crinkling and crunching.

The only modification you can do is adjust brake balance. MOST EVERYTHING else, no matter if it came with the car, will keep you from entering a tuning prohibited room.

Edit: The exception being the power limiter. If you are dumb like me, you are capable of running a reduced power output and totally gimping yourself for no benefit. I did it for a whole month.

Not sure I entirely agree with this but perhaps there simply hasn't been a situation where someone has become outclassed by other drivers in his/her division or there haven't been any spots in a higher division to promote someone that deserves a promotion.

@JLBowler was talking about a division room being full on race night and the last man out, lowest on the totem pole, goes to the next highest Division.

Not promotion and relegation. There have been many many instances of people being moved down a division.

Staying in a hotel tonight so hopefully my connection holds up so I can participate. Gotta try to do as much as I can for on of those S.N.A.I.L shirts to sport around at work. :)
