The reason why I run D-7 in an open lobby is simple. I have many other friends that play GT, many of which are drifters. With the amount of driver changes that happen I cant keep deleting people and adding people that i only see once a week at most. So i keep it fair to my drift buddies because we all run comps together almost everyday. I probably will continue to run D-7 in an open lobby it is easier that way.

Invite your Drifter buddies to join SNAIL and participate with the same entry requirements and accountability as the rest of us. If they don't care to join - then it's their loss. You cannot exclude SNAIL members for the sake of buddies. Without "joining" there is no Accountability to us as a League to ensure Clean Racing. Protect the League from becoming another typical Crash & Dash experience. Hope you understand the idea.

they dont care to join but they respect the privacy of lobbies so they know not to disturb on sundays.

Guys, I think there is a little misunderstanding about @BayouSimDrifter using an open lobby. He isn't letting his buddies come in and race while he is hosting S.N.A.I.L. He doesn't want to keep updating his friends list with S.N.A.I.L. drivers because he has other friends that fill that list that he runs with on a daily basis. Fair enough, but maybe it's time to look for a host that has the necessary room on his friends list.

I think his point was that he has a large group of friends that he races with regularly and doesn't have room on his friend list for all the D7 drivers that come and go. Running the lobby public means All D7 guys can get in. He will won't allow his regular drift buddies to race on a D7 race night. They can easily be kicked or notified that it isn't a drifting night.

I understand it....but I also feel a private lobby minimizes the comings and goings of random players during a race. No one wants a "so and so just joined" message to popup on the apex of a turn during a heated battle. If a host isn't willing to send friend requests to everyone in the division, we should find another host.

I dont have a problem hosting but its a pain to go through the game issues thats why it is easier for the open lobby. i litterally never have connection issues

I get now what bayou was saying, didn't mean to start anything. My apologies.

It may be easier to host in an open lobby, but you are inviting the possibility of problems from random people just jumping in and being annoying. This actually happened in the Endurance Series a while back. A random guy came in and was being a general pain in the ass and forced many to quit. Running an open lobby opens us up to this type of incident and there is no gain involved because the open and friends only rooms run on the same type of network on the same servers. The only issues come from finding the room which can be fixed by reloading the list and the issues we create for ourselves by having people not get friend requests done in a timely fashion.

Ask @cmbeal317 how that open lobby worked out for them.

JLBowler I would like to be a Photographer for D5. That's if no one don't mind

I don't mind and I'm sure no one else does either but @ExoSphere64 handles the distribution of jobs. My domain is the drivers placement and the technical aspects of some things around here.

I know im not the best but we don't got one for D5 and if anyone gots any pointers I could use them look at last sundays pics and we can go from there thanks

Photography is much like beauty. In the eye. If you like what you've done, go with it. If not, go back and change something about it and see if you like that better.

I know it's still early and I'm not trying to rush anyone but has anyone looked to see what the votes look like at the moment and what combo might be staying

That information can be found in the S.N.A.I.L. results sheet. The votes are shown for each division in the top right hand side of each division's sheet. Aside from the directors document (that not everyone has access to) I don't know of another way until the unofficial results are announced.

And ExoSphere if they are any other position that need to be filled if I can do them or can learn to do them im in

There are several places in D5 that would welcome your help. Primary data specialist comes to mind. Back ups upon back ups are always welcome as well. Take a look HERE to see if anything suits you. There is training available for all positions!

Sorry @Jakedog23 ... If you would have had 00:000.026 in your pocket that third place would have been yours!! Man, you should see the dent in the floor right under my gas pedal!

Pretty decent night. We started out with a little twist. Our host was MIA at start time and there was a smidgen of concern. Thanks to having multiple back up hosts, we had the problem sorted out in no time. Huge thanks to @USERID_77a23 , @TEX36 and @goofytyler for getting rooms set and ready to go. We ended up in goofys room and from there everything seemed to go pretty smoothly.

Now, where was our intended host @Azure Flare? Well, it looked like his internet access fell apart for the entire duration of the night. I can't imagine how stressful that was. There is always next week and no worries. Great group of drivers in D6. Although...

I hope you like the look of the back of my cars, you'll be seeing them often. :mischievous:

Will see about that @Azure Flare.

I would keep a close eye on goofy next week and his whereabouts come race time. Last night was great and thanks to all of D6!
