Oh please, I posted a hypothetical situation last week and you all were perfectly fine with scrapping an entire divisions' votes if they chose not to race the final combo due to a lack of numbers....now you want to allow people to vote for combos they didn't even race on?

It's not their vote potentially being taken away so it's not an issue to them. All I want to see is that if you don't race a combo, you can't vote it off that night. If you can't stay connected then you can vote for anything that you actually raced. The rules already say that votes should be cast at the end of the race night. Any vote that is cast by someone as they leave the room early by their own choice should not be counted. I wouldn't mind seeing that changed to an all in one policy that only allows a driver to vote for a combo they raced that night.

IMHO:
We are given many different cars and tracks to experience, learn and attempt to excel. Whether we Conquer the Division each Month/Season is secondary to the reason we "come together" each week. We want to do our best, improve and, if possible, win a few races ever so often.

To pout about a certain Combo being undriveable, not enjoyable, etc. ..... is just a way of getting out of the reality that you just don't want to "figure it out", or you can't handle the thought of finishing in last place in any race. Granted, it is not a glorious place to be, but you can learn a lot about yourself, your commitments and your willingness to "keep going even when I don't like it".

So, for those that want to "sit one out", as they say, "Man Up" and quit whining about the car you've been given to drive. You just might improve a character trait by doing your best, no matter what the circumstances.

No offense intended ..... just some thoughts on the discussion.

I completely agree. I at first was like that if I was sucking it up then I just rage quit. But this week in the Ferrari I was sucking it up and still had a decient battle with @Piler.

Hey would it be ok if I set up an RX-7 @ Trial Mountain practice room even though i'm not officially a member yet?

I don't see why not. I have your time trial and you will be placed later this week. It's a busy week around here with full promotion and relegation of all divisions going on.

Ever since i started racing with SNAIL in GT5, it has been enjoyable, fun and a dedication to race each week going into GT6.. It doesn't make sense for anyone to not race just because they didn't like the car or track picked. For example, i didn't do as good as i should have with the Ferrari but still raced. Shows i can do better each week i drive the same vehicle no matter the track, that is the way to learn from driving mistakes is to drive the car and track each week.

I think at least for me i have a responsibility to fulfill my duties in the SNAIL racing league to keep racing every time i could and stay the entire night barring disconnection issues either from my network provider or the game itself. We are a growing family in SNAIL and keep getting new friend/family members in the SNAIL family. We learn from each other each week, our driving lines, where we brake on the track and have a system in place that keeps this league full of clean, competitive drivers. I always have enjoyed being part of SNAIL and always will.

Just remember to always have fun, enjoy yourselves SNAIL style. :gtpflag: 👍

The score sheets have been copied to the results document and are ready for the data entry specialists to knock out their part of the data. Thanks to all the scorekeepers for doing their part!

ALERT
There are several prize candidates that will have their eligibility revoked because their divison's replays are not available. D1, D2 and D5. You have about 1 hour and 20 minutes to get them up.

Okay... The replays for D5 have been uploaded to the public and League folders... Sorry for the delay. Had intentions of knocking it out this morning but that big orange thing in the sky drew me out of my cave for a bit...

EDIT 1.0: @cmbeal317 I can get data sorted out tomorrow night if you would like...

EDIT 1.01: Tentative 3rd overall for D5... Not too shabby at all! (This makes me pretty happy)

Thanks to @nmcp1 for this great idea and @fizzer for some additional stats.

Here are 2 videos from the last night. Please forgive the poor quality. I just recorded them with my iPhone. The first is a really awesome pass by @hognhominy in the 1st race at Trail Mountain. The second is in the final race of the night, where I was sitting in 5th and managed to move to 1st by avoiding "the big one".
