or... Humiliated Alien.....

An alternative way would be:
If humans are insulted, it is called humiliated. Following the same logic, if aliens are insulted, it should be called alienated. But the thing that doesn't make sense is that Lloyt is already alienated (isolated) in our current English dictionary. That word should be re-defined to include aliens being insulted.

Tip of the day: Good racers need to have consideration and respect for one another especially the first few corners of a race. If you are really a good driver and faster than others you will find a way past cleanly. If you want to dive bomb and try to win the race in turn 1 , stick to arcade mode.:grumpy:

Snail has been debating that problem for a long time without any success. The lack of respect faster drivers show for slower drivers is sickening and making more and more people giving up the once "a learning experience" Thursdays practice sessions.

That's part of the issue too. When I hear things like " I haven't practiced any of these combos all week" it makes me cringe. I'm not saying you HAVE to practice but I am saying take into consideration that others HAVE practiced and get frustrated when people who haven't practiced take them out at turn 1. Why not ease into the 1st few corners till most fall into line, then have a go at it. Sure, you may have an incident somewhere further into the race but at least you didn't spoil it for someone who practiced for several hours over the course of the week on the 1st lap.

I have said it before and will say it again. I think the best practice for thursdays is not to try to replicate Sundays. Instead do 2 lap races over and over. This gives everyone the chance to practice the all important start on cold tires. Repeat this 4-5 times on each combo and you will gain more than running a full race.

Now I am back off to the DTC. If you guys want some fun chilled racing come join us tomorrow.

A SNAIL Sanctioned event - Open to all

Welcome to the DriveTrain Challenge (DTC). We are a tuning prohibited event that requires all participants to use four different drivetrains and uses the Performance Point system in Gran Turismo as a limiter on the nights racing.

HELLO EVERYONE .... I would like to share with my fellow snails my thoughts on Sunday nights racing.
I was promoted to div 6 last month which I was not happy about. At best I was mid pack in div 7 most of the time so I was a little surprised at the move. Now I just feel like filler here most of time in div 6...That changed a little bit on Sunday when I found myself starting 4th in race2 round 1 with the GTR. With a whole lot of luck and a wee bit of skill I found myself leading after the first lap. I was holding my own when I noticed on the leaderboard that @joe_diben one of the faster guys was steadily moving up. I think he started 9th but by lap 5 he was right on my tail. Wins for me are few and far between so I figured I was doomed. But here's the thing...I knew even though I was slower than @joe_diben if I held my line and my made my rear bumper a little wider joe would race me clean. And that's exactly what happened. I was a nervous wreck but managed to squeak out a very rare win. Its a real pleasure racing someone you know is gonna race you hard but is not gonna wreck you or do something stupid.

Long story short I just want to give a shout out to @joe_diben and all the other snails that drive like him.
Drivers like that need to be recognized!!!
I raise my glass to you all.

Jeeez, sometimes my portuguesism gives me a hard time understanding this flopta/ajkvail posts!!! What are you exactly talking about? :P
I learned that when a driver goes off track like the high speed right at Silverstone, or cuts the track, they call it a "Bowler", respectfully, in regard to JLBowler's diligence in defending this act of cutting or maintaining momentum through a turn by going wide. Hope that helped.

Add @fzappa to that list. Well done Sunday. I had to work hard to make a pass, and I hope he had to work to pass me. LOL. Thing is he was patient and demonstrated very good racecraft.

when i was looking for a team to join i read there guide lines and 1 team had a rule that you wern't allowed to even go fast (above 60 i think it was the pole had control of the start) until the first minor straight on any given track

You guys were totally right about that new seasonal bringing back Mission 34 flashbacks, I had to push really hard and get past those AI cars like they weren't there to finally get it in the FT-1.

Attention all Division 1 and Division 6 drivers

As of right now, I am unable to locate replays anywhere for your racing on 19OCT2014. This makes both division winners ineligible for prizes.

@singlepaddy - I've always thought that you are one of the hardest people to pass out there. At times I've been faster than you, but every time I'd catch up to you, I'd dread it, since I knew I was really going to have to work for it. In the end, it's made me a better racer too.

Although not the goal in racing, I really enjoy racing someone hard in the chasing position. I had a pretty good battle with @ExoSphere64 in the Aston Martin, where I was all over his tail, some side by side and I even pulled ahead for a brief stint (until I did my usual as of late and spun).

It takes a talented driver to hold your ground and race clean while leading as well. In this conversation, both @singlepaddy and @ExoSphere64 are superb.
