Prize A Vote Notification
The nomination period is now closed. Thank you to everyone in D6 that suggested a Prize A combo.

The deadline to cast a vote is 5:30 Easter Time. I had to move it up because I got called in to work tomorrow.

The list below is what was submitted.

1. KTM XBow Street @ Laguna Seca

2. Amuse Nismo 380RS Super Leggera @ Trial Mountain Reverse

3. BMW M5 ’05 @ Spa Francorchamps

4. Ford RS200 ’84 @ Matterhorn Rotenboden

5. Audi R8 5.2 FSI Quattro @ Willow Springs International

6. RUF RGT ’00 @ Circuito de Madrid Reverse

7. Shelby Cobra 427 S/R Chrome Line @ Circuito de Madrid

When voting, please make a dedicated post for your vote and use either the number you are voting for or the full name of the combo. You do not need to quote this post when casting your vote.

Please do not vote if you didn't race on Sunday night.

Please do not vote if you raced in D6 Sunday night. Your suggestion was your vote. If you didn't make a suggestion, you missed your chance to contribute to Prize A.

Please do not post a running total of the votes in the thread. If someone wants to know the totals before they cast their vote, let them do the leg work. We want people to vote for what they want to race, not a front runner or an attempt to have a combo catch up. I will be quoting this post throughout the day on Thursday to remind people of what is going on.

I vote for
3. BMW M5 ’05 @ Spa Francorchamps
Although I really wish it was the '08 version since you can add driver numbers to the '08. Not sure why '05 was picked/suggested instead.

Sorry. You didn't race Sunday night so your vote will not be recorded.

My last take on the controller kerfuffle.

If my problem is Lag or whatever it would effect all of the cars.... When I say I see someone "Jumping all over the track", it is always someone on a controller. Wouldn't the wheel racers give me the same visual effects. Fact is, they don't.

I am not against controllers, some of the best racers on Snail use them, oog42 uses a controller and is smooth as goose snot...most of the time, now he has a wheel, look out. With some guys, you can't tell they use a controller...they are just good racers and have mastered the physics of using them. They don't need the "built in aids" that are present for inferior racers.

My whole point of this discussion is, a controller can make an inferior driver better than he actually is. Good racing is smooth lines and apex opimization to carry the best speed around any racing circuit. Again, when I see someone completely blow a corner and still come out of it without consequences and then still have the speed to pass me, there is something wrong.

Aero, please pass the Midol, I think it's that time.

Just a reminder... Snail never raced the RUF RGT

My hopes are that the Porsche wins and next week moves to an even better track.

Boooooo, ahahah

Hey @Schmiggz, stop trying to sway the vote. We get it. You want the Ruf.

For the combos is it just road going cars or are race cars included.

see below:
Car Selection Guidelines
Dealership Cars - The maximum price for a selected car is now $1,000,000
DLC Cars - Only DLC cars that are FREE and currently still available in the PlayStation Store can be selected.

Track Selection Guidelines
Any non-DLC track can be selected as long as a single lap with the car combo'd with it would not take more than five minutes to complete. For example, don't select anything that includes the Nurburgring's Nordschleife.

We just don't use race cars as often as road cars, but I would like to. I just thought people frowned upon them so I didn't pick one.

How would we as a group go about discussing and hopefully changing the maximum price to $1,250,000. ?
I figure with inflation this would only be a small cost of living increase. If you are grinding for $1,000.000, then an extra $250,000 is not that far of a reach. The extra bump would open many more cars.

Your thoughts?

Increasing the limit to $1,250,000 will add 17 cars....
