Okay Snails, it's that time again! One of you is going to win a ButtKicker Gamer2 in a few days! :D

Based on the rules of the contest, here are the finalists for the ButtKicker Challenge III as well as how many picks each finalist has earned:

@aerolite ------ 5 picks
@DCschwinn ----- 5 picks
@dgaf95integra - 5 picks
@Nicktune ------ 5 picks
@QEDXY --------- 5 picks
@racingchamp30 - 5 picks
@SHOCKY_WELL --- 5 picks
@Skills -------- 5 picks
@turnupdaheat -- 5 picks
@USERID_77a23 -- 5 picks
@SGETI --------- 4 picks
@vsfit --------- 4 picks
@Mike Lobban --- 4 picks
@nmcp1 --------- 4 picks
@nascarfan14 --- 4 picks
@goofytyler ---- 3 picks
@JJLopez427 ---- 3 picks
@Kgffy --------- 3 picks

@ConnorWolf ---- 2 picks
@CoachMK21 ----- 2 picks

@ExoSphere64 --- 1 pick
@GTP_Nobby ----- 1 pick
@Dr_Strange ---- 1 pick
@jnmjeeper ----- 1 pick
@llNovall ------ 1 pick

The number of picks that each finalist earned is based on the number of ButtKicker points they earned. The winning number will be determined by the fastest lap set (regardless of class) during the FIA WEC 6 Hours of Sao Paulo on Sunday:

Simply put, the very last two digits of his fastest lap during the race will be the winning number and the finalist who picked the same number will be declared the winner. For example, if the if the fastest lap during the race is 1:21:303, then the finalist who picked 03 would be the winner.

All finalists will be receiving a PM from me at some point tomorrow morning. It will include detailed instructions as well as the terms and conditions for participating in the contest. You will be required to post your picks on here on the this thread, but don't do anything until you read my PM first.

Good luck to all of you!! :cheers:

This is such an awesome league. I've been sitting here for the last three hours cooking for tomorrow and watching the thread. The dedication from those behind the scenes here is great to see. Once again, they're human, they might not get everything right 100% of the time, but they put their hearts into making this such a cool thing to be part of.

We get to hang out in here, meet people from all over the world, talk about racing, cars and just everyday life. We develop friendships on opposite sides of the earth with people who share a common interest as simple as this.

I just want to wish all those celebrating tomorrow a Happy Thanksgiving and I'll raise a toast in private for those guys in here doing the dirty work 24/7/365.
Vsfit, my avitar is for you. Lol.

WHERE IS MY MIND...

The Apricot Hill Time Trial event appears to be fixed now. Had to delete the old event and start a new one after I'd changed the track. Sure would've been nice if they'd coded regulation settings edits on the web site. Oh well. Maybe in a future update.

My apologies for the incorrect track pick.

That was hilarious! I still can't tell if that was a gag or if that guy really is that dense.
It was a radio punk'd gag. If you can stop laughing long enough, listen all the way to end. They fess up to the girl. She practically offers to have the guy's babies.

Oh look. Oops. I double posted. To late to change it now. That's what I get for staying up 'til 3am 3 nights in a row. Hitting the rack now before I do something catastrophic.

@turnupdaheat

2,650.44 SNAIL Kilometers with the Vantage! Will probably go over 3k by Sunday. Nice Pick!!!

Thanks Wolf. She's turned out to be a survivor.

I wanted to ensure that I didn't pick a car that was used before and, as I had quite a few others on the shortlist, I can't understand the argument that there's little to choose from.

I don't believe there's any excuse for a prize winner to ignore the sound advice, of nearly everyone here, to pick an untried car.

Freakin loved it LMAO!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING! To all of SNAIL!

These banners never get old! Awesome every time! The November 30th lineup has been officially posted!! :gtpflag:

Quick reminder to everyone that this Sunday is the beginning of a new season and also the beginning of a new challenge (and another amazing prize!!) :D

Also, if you did well in the previous challenge, make sure you don't miss the post up TOPP..

That was an enjoyable practice session last night. Once I fixed my controller setting I was able to drive it with significantly more confidence. Still got some work to do if I'm gonna keep up though.

Was it the sensitivity setting you fixed?

Nope there is no prize I already one the racing rig just waiting for it to be mailed to my house!

@turnupdaheat

Yeah.

I tried a different controller a couple days ago and was unhappy with what I would describe as a progressive curve with the sticks. It felt very dead around center and made it quite difficult to make minute adjustments even after cranking the sensitivity to max. Well, I simply forgot to set it back to default when I went back to the DS3. Driving the WSR with max sensitivity was an extreme challenge right out of the gate. Even though I found some decent speed with that setting I wasn't comfortable or consistent until after I adjusted the setting to default.

If the D7 guys are running 1:27's with the little go-kart I might be in trouble this week. My best time so far was only a 1:28.2.
Will hit the track later today to get some laps in to see if I can bring the time down

I must take a look at what setting I'm on. I suspect it's quite high at the moment as the car is a little overly edgy.

Same! Struggling a little I think, managed to break into 1.27's on occasion, but usually 1.28's. Not including draft heavy laps! (or draft heavy with wrong settings laps...thanks however pointed that out to me, thought I had nailed a 1.25, but naw, I had set up the room wrong!)

I'm just hoping to keep the consistency up and let the others round me make mistakes!

Damn, this will probably get lost in the buttkicker challenge posts but...
I also happened across a quite humorous video. Its not often you get to hear a driver and codriver having this much fun, but for some reason it always seems the Irish have a far better time on the special stage than anyone else. Enjoy
