So I was eliminated last night in episode 4

It was hard for me to keep It under the wraps. But I will be racing in the 25 Hours of Thunderhill today with two time winner and defending team RJ Racing in their Miata for class E3 honors again.

I will be on track with guys like Al Unser Jr., Kurt Busch, Randy Pobst, Kyle Marcelli and other great drivers.

Best of Luck Neo! I have no doubt that you will make SNAIL proud. I hope this is the start of great things for you.

Hey Neo! It was sad to see you eliminated in the latest episode. Particularly, after doing so well on the real track in the second benchmark.

Best of luck today. 👍

Everything else on there says Nissan, Nismo, YouTube, or GT. SNAIL really stands out and people might actually ask what that is. Smart people might even google us!

the aston martin needs to be in some sort of SNAIL Hall of Fame hahahaha
and special shells rewarded for whoever óriginally picked it 👍👍
Its getting up there, but it has a long way to go before it catchs the likes for the FD Spirit R and that G37 Gran Turismo Garage car. Was it the GT Garage or a nismo car? Anyway, there are some that have gone the distance, been dropped, and then picked again and ran for another 5 or 6 weeks. Some cars really have staying power. I think the Aston is one of them. It is a really easy car to drive at all levels.

As it seems, the Aston takes rookies like myself by surprise with it's heavy feel and apparent lack of grip. But once some homework is done it really is a fun car to race (Yes, I said race, not drive). I think that's why it's become so well liked.

It feels like I got to pick two combos this week...I hope everyone likes them...this opportunity may never come again so I hope they are enjoyed.

I'm diggin the NSX. Considering random chatter I'm not sure it will be around long, but I'm still digging the challenge. Suzuka seems to be a tough track to pass on if you're not confident and committed so I'll just be focused on consistency.

The Lotus is challenging even though I feel like I picked up on it fairly quickly. Brands Hatch is great IMO. Big rewards for "perfection", bigger penalties for the lack of.

So it's funny watching the episodes. When they do the little bio and show some brief footage of them playing GT6 I have recognized everyone they are driving with so far.

Tommy was racing with TCMix and MT88keys whom I race with both.

@Neovre was racing with our good buddy @turnupdaheat :)
Yeah, that was cool seeing them play GT6. I recognized a few of the people they where playing with.

No way, we need Tourist Trophy 2!!!

So I was in Seattle, doing the 'undergound' tour, pop up to the surface and saw a familiar sight!

Wish they would bring this one back... :/

Also, with all the other people sharing their rigs reminded me that I never showed off my V1.0 rig... now if I can only find some pics... it was built from an exercise bike and an office chair! Very ingenuitive...

So I decided to upgrade my rig : I built a wheel stand out of wood back on Christmas night last year , then I won the last Granstand challenge so of course I upgraded then ... But since I'm a cheap ass I didnt get the seat module for it .. I have now decided I could make something work , I bought 1/8 x 1 square tube and some scrap metal through my work for 6 bucks ! I have a wrecked Saturn with good seats , I grabbed the passenger seat since it hardly ever gets used .. I think it turned out well ! View attachment 268155 View attachment 268167 View attachment 268168 View attachment 268169 ...And with my G27 coming from Santa I'll be set !
That looks like a job well done to me. I'd love to go that route of having a real seat but a wheelstand alone already takes up too much living room real estate and I can at least repurpose the exec office chair I use now for theater seating.

Unrelated to anything you've posted except that it's a picture of your home, a bunch of guys I used to hang out with on the internet used to photoshop in a bottle of A*** Lube into every picture shared, and even now, years later, I still do a perverted Where's Waldo? looking for that bottle of lube. (Yours is hidden extremely well; I could not find it at all.)

¿¡Sorr-gratulations!? Good luck! (Hoping this sentiment is still applicable; enduros are frought with peril.)

Post-stint update:
Finished a 2 hour stint at 3:15pm Pacific Time. Car felt great. A little off pace from leading car but consistency brought us up from 2nd last to 3rd in class and going like clockwork.

A few guys in faster cars don't even know the driving line but had a 🤬 ton more horsepower held me up for a long time. I love it when the fastest prototype cars come by dive bombing them so I can follow the them through with the opening at the apex they make. Beauty of endurance racing.

The Seattle track would not be able to be revived if it were recreated based on what's there today, because the front straight is near a viaduct that's been torn down because it would never survive a significant earthquake. There's other areas that have changed drastically too, like where CenturyLink Field and Safeco Field now stand. It would be cool to see a new take on the Seattle course though!

If the Course Creator works with GPS as people think it will, I might have to map out some courses from downtown Vancouver and Stanley Park! Stanley park would actually be a fun course! Here's a quick 12km loop that would be lots of fun, with a bit of elevation change going up over the Lions Gate Bridge, and going up Robson St. If this could be mapped out in the game with all of the sights and landmarks, this would be gorgeous. Lots to see on this route.
